A good hotel with a high level of service. All rooms have ocean views. Room cleaning 2 times a day. A beautiful large area where you can meet peacocks, chipmunks, squirrels, monitor lizards. A picturesque beach. But it is worth considering that there are always waves on the ocean, it is impossible to enter the water. You can go to the nearby wild beach, where the waves are a little smaller, but there are also. Each room has a personal manager assigned to it, with whom you will interact on all issues. Special thanks to our manager Kavindi for promptly resolving any of our issues. There are two swimming pools on the territory. The water in them is clean, there are a lot of sun loungers around. But the depth is only 1.2m. I advise you to choose HB for nutrition. The buffet system. The food is varied and very tasty. Lots of seafood every day. Please note that the prices of drinks on the menu do not include tax and service. The amount will be +33%. We wrote to the manager, apologized and gave the room on the 2nd floor. Although it seems to me that the ocean view room is the 3rd floor, and on the websites it is exactly the 3rd floor. Before lunch, coconuts were distributed for free so that you could enjoy coconut water - it was free. If suddenly you are not offered, you can ask) I didn't like that the prices in the restaurant are the same on the menu, but in fact the bill is + 30%. And at the same time, tips of 10% are included, but they will leave you exactly the tip column. For the record, friends traveled to tea plantations and found out that people get $ 3 a day, and here 10% of the bill and another count ... it's very unpleasant. Since there is nowhere to eat near the hotel, the price tag is inflated every 5 times for food. It upset me very much . I only took breakfast, but I figured if I took "all inclusive" even with alcohol, I would overpay at least 2 times It is impossible to swim on the beach. Great hotel, had a great rest. Beautiful territory, good service. If you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka, then this is the best option. Before we checked into the hotel, we traveled for 4 days in Sri Lanka, saw other 5* hotels, Anantara Tangalle is out of competition. Fresh, spacious, comfortable and clean rooms with sea views. We had a room on the ground floor 312. We had never lived on the ground floor before and there were some concerns. But it was very convenient, you can go out to the sea in a swimsuit, walking barefoot on a manicured lawn and clean sand. Or relax, drink tea/coffee or wine right on your terrace admiring the ocean. The beach is very beautiful and private. There are many sun beds. The staff will take you to the ones you like, lay towels. In the morning, everyone is treated to coconuts. The ocean is powerful, not everyone will dare to enter, for small children and those who swim poorly, it will definitely not work. We preferred to go swimming to the neighboring beach, which is located a stone's throw from the hotel, where the coast is more gentle and the waves are smaller. There is a beautiful swimming pool where you can swim and relax. I would also like to mention the excellent work of the waiters in the restaurants, the staff on the beach and by the pool, they anticipated and fulfilled all our desires. The hotel has the most delicious food in Sri Lanka. We've been to an Italian restaurant three times (the chef shows personal attention to the guests) and an Asian restaurant twice, and we really liked everything. Good buffet breakfasts and dinners.

I really liked the hotel, one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. Very beautiful territory, lots of animals and birds. The birdsong was especially pleasing to us. The food in the shared restaurant is decent. In the Italian restaurant Ala kart, the view and the lithosphere are great, but the food seemed nothing special to us and the price is too high. We went swimming to the neighboring beach from the right, as there were strong waves all 10 days and it was almost impossible to swim on the hotel beach, but this did not spoil our good impressions of the hotel.

Hello everyone!) after 20 years of traveling, I wanted to start writing reviews). February 2025. The family consists of 2 adults, children aged 13 and 15. We rested for 10 days in Anantara Tangara. From the airport 2 hours 15 min. we got there on an individual transfer. It's a bit long, but tolerable. The children were asleep. We had 2 rooms with sea views on the 3rd floor. The rooms are beautiful, the view is gorgeous, the bed is very comfortable. Very nice balcony. We wanted the 1st floor, but we were refused when booking. And in general it's good). They bring enough filtered water to the room. There is a minibar.not Included. Includes 2 milks daily, Tea, coffee. The room has flip-flops, sunscreen, shower accessories, slippers, and bathrobes. Food. We had HB There is 1 main restaurant for breakfast. There is no beautiful view. The breakfasts are good. Fresh fruit type 7. Pineapples/watermelons/papaya. Eggs of all kinds. Pancakes, yoghurts, pastries. Poached egg with avocado and salmon on a grain loaf (the same can be prepared on request). Lunch. You can dine at the pool bar or the Italian restaurant. Dinner can be exchanged for lunch. The deposit per person is $28 for food. Filtered water is free, the rest of the drinks are all for an additional fee. Every other time, the service is long. Dinner Available : Ilyinsky, Asian restaurants.and a shared restaurant. There is a buffet in the shared restaurant. The atmosphere is bustling-a canteen. Meat, fish, squid, shrimp. Lots of Asian dishes. There are a lot of desserts, delicious, fruits (pineapple, papaya, watermelon, bananas, passion fruit), ice cream of 4 flavors. The choice is good, I liked everything except the atmosphere). All food and drinks are included, and everything except filtered water is charged. An Italian restaurant. The view is bombastic. The most ideal is a cocktail before dinner. It's dark at dinner, but a pleasant breeze blows over, it's nice to have dinner there.The system is the same - $ 28 deposit per person. For food. On average, this is enough for 1-2 meals. Drinks are paid for. Alcoholic cocktails are $13-25. Wine 40-60$/bottle of Sauvignon. The food is quite decent, I really liked a lot of things. Asian restaurant. The menu is very large and difficult to choose.we were there 1 time. They asked for something not spicy-everything was spicy (apparently they can't understand how it is without spices at all). Every day around 11-12.00 you can take coconuts to drink in the garden. That's a nice compliment. There is a river with mangroves on the territory of the hotel. You can take a boat ride-it's very interesting. There is a guided tour of the garden every day. It was held for us at 16.00. Very interesting! Be sure to go. Yoga takes place at 7.30 and 17.00. There is a gym.lawn tennis. The territory is quite a good size .It's nice to walk. Very green. The territory is like a zoo-peacocks, chipmunks, herons, monkeys, a huge flock comes, iguanas walk. Turtles were released into the ocean at night. We saw a turtle laying eggs right on the beach. We really love animals in their habitat, so it was extremely interesting!It 's a real delight . That's probably what makes this hotel unique. We have never been surrounded by animals like this in any hotel in the world. In the Maldives, there is an animal world in the water, but here on land it is similarly interesting). I didn't get to the spa. It's a very beautiful beach. It's really colorful. The water is beautifully colored, with waves all the time. Sometimes average, sometimes very strong. We really enjoyed fooling around on the waves. But it's not suitable for small children.There are the same waves in the bay after 50 m, but the beach is flat for a longer time, so they are smaller near the shore. But it is not possible to swim in a calm sea. You can sail a little further from the shore and swim, but the sea is always full of waves. The sun is very strong. Straight tube 50/person. Or buy a sweatshirt with sleeves if you plan to swim. After going to the center of the island in Ella, we realized that for Sri Lanka this is a luxury hotel level. They're really trying very hard. But for a pampered tourist, I can't say luxury -rather "very good." Overall, we really liked it.both adults and teenagers. I recommend it!

A wonderful hotel with the highest level of service. We spent our honeymoon here with my wife and did not regret it at all. A very beautiful lagoon surrounded by palm trees, a restaurant on a cliff, and the hotel territory is a real nature reserve with many animals (calibris, monitor lizards, peacocks, monkeys, turtles, etc.) The essence of the rest that the hotel offers is complete relaxation with luxury service. There are not many people, the audience is very stately. All rooms have ocean views, the higher the floor, the more visible it is. I highly recommend you to visit!

The hotel is gorgeous, they took a separate visa with their own pool, it's very cool and cozy, peacocks and other animals can enter the house, it's very cool and interesting) there was a personal manager, we contacted him via WhatsApp, he translated and did everything we needed) very convenient. There are not enough garbage cans on the beach, there are few places to wash your feet from the beach. They didn't come for the suitcases when they left, although there was an agreement. Lawns are watered with water that, to put it mildly, smells bad! For the first two days, they tried to shove the checks for signature!!! I love to travel, in 2022 I visited more than 15 countries and own a network of travel agencies in Moscow and the northern capital. I have booked Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort for 9 nights. In a nutshell, it's very mediocre, but let's start in order. 📍LOCATION AND TRANSFER It is located 200 km from the airport, which is undoubtedly far (3.5 hours by car). The seasonality on this coast is from October to May. Upon arrival, we were met by a transfer, I ordered through the gettransfer, it cost me $ 80. Be careful, they save gasoline and drive along the toll highway at a speed of 70 km/ h (about 100 km/ h), do not hesitate to say. Also, do not be surprised by unexpected stops, the driver just wanted to smoke. ℹ️ CHECK - IN We arrived at the hotel by 15:40. We were offered coconut water (wellcome drink) As a result, the check-in took an hour. And the suitcases were brought to the room only after a call at the reception. 💬ASSISTANT A personal manager is assigned to you, who will interact with you via WhatsApp and resolve any issues that arise. 🏝️ BEACH AND SEA Disgusting beach, rocks, very deep, at my 1.87 going a meter, I'm not standing. You can swim only in the right part, the merchants will also bother you. Constant waves, only 2 of the 9 days were swimming. Children are generally excluded. There is a good beach 20 minutes away by tuk-tuk or Hiriketiya beach car. A gentle entrance for children is just the thing. There is one for the whole hotel, constantly cloudy. The pool has a poor view of the sea, as there are huge trees on the shore. It's more interesting here. In all rooms, the shower gel is not in disposable containers, the smell is specific. Water bottles are also reusable, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level, I think they pour from under filters (well, God forbid). The air conditioner works terribly. The hair dryer is disgusting, but most importantly, there is no outlet near the bathroom mirror, dry your hair by touch on the bed. The rooms on the ground floor in most cases stink of dampness, and you will always have the curtains closed, since people walk right under the windows, I do not really recommend taking this category. There are also rooms with access to the beach, the same problems, the sea is not visible, and access to the beach is very conditional, or rather it simply does not exist. Premier and Deluxe Ocean View are all much nicer, I lived in Deluxe Ocean View, it is on the top floor (3rd) with a gorgeous view of the sea. As for the room itself, it is generally very decent. Of the problems: the hose from the watering can in the shower was torn, it was changed from the 3rd request, the bed also creaked. Now the villas. I went through all the categories of villas, if in general it is very shabby and there is no privacy, the smell of dampness is available. Do not take villas with garden views at all, they are disgusting. Bottom line: take the Deluxe Ocean View in a case closer to the sea. I broke a glass, called, told about it. A guy came and raked it with a broom, of course there were fragments left. The fragments were there for 4 days, although I told them to vacuum every day. They are poorly cleaned. The toilet paper is single-layered, it is strong. 🍽️ RESTAURANTS AND FOOD PROGRAMS They blatantly cheat, the prices listed on the menu do not include taxes and service. Add 35-40% of the prices on the menu!!! There are 4 restaurants on the territory, but it is unlikely that you will find it delicious somewhere: Asian is generally not bad, but it takes more than 40 minutes to wait for hookah, wine, dishes. Italian is below average By the pool, it's disgusting, I've never eaten worse than Caesar anywhere. The main restaurant is the best of all, sometimes it is delicious BB - breakfast HB - breakfast and dinner FB - breakfast, lunch and dinner AI - all inclusive with alcohol or there is an option without The best option is HB, buffet breakfasts, dinners too. The food is not bad, BUT there is a problem with drinks at dinner. THEY DON'T COME IN, NOT EVEN THE WATER. The cost of water is about 280₽ (~$4) for a small bottle. I will write about the wine below. If you take FB, you will have lunch on a separate menu at the restaurant next to the pool. AI is a huge ambush, especially with alcohol. All alcohol is local, it is impossible to drink it, and there is simply no wine that should be under this program. When you ask the management a question, they smile. 🏨 Hotel grounds and alternative restaurants The territory of the hotel is good, everything is clean, chipmunks are running around (stealing nuts, chocolates from bags), monkeys, several peacocks, many rooks and monitor lizards. LOTS OF MOSQUITOES There are plenty of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, which tastes the same as in the hotel, but much cheaper. More than half of the entire wine menu is missing, there is a good wine, but do not forget about the 35-40% surcharge. What I want to advise you is to buy at duty free, and pay a cork fee of about 700₽ (~$10) for drinking in restaurants and near the pool. 🧑‍🔧 Staff They work very slowly and solve problems hard. Of all of them, I would like to praise AKEELA and KRISHAN, huge fellows with great knowledge of English. 🛎️ Room service Forget about room service. It is impossible to wait for your order or just ask for new glasses, clean plates. More than 1.5 hours… 🧖‍♂️ SPA Massage costs from $ 140 (9800₽) for 45 minutes, the spa itself is small, you already think for yourself, but everything is beautiful inside. On weekends, the hotel is filled with locals, it feels cramped. In general, I want to say that they are trying to dilute at every step, look at the receipt carefully, they break through more positions than you ordered. For this money, the level of the hotel falls short. My verdict is 3 stars.

A magnificent hotel! Amazing location! Restaurants on all and a la cart. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart. There is always a Shiormt, but this has its own charm....The villas are far from the beach. Wonderful sunsets. Yoga potutram with an instructor every day at 7.30. Big monitor lizards live on the beach!
