Thanks to the guide Arthur for the excellent story about the great Martiros Saryan! As a novice artist, I was pleasantly surprised by Arthur's ability to clearly and in simple language tell about the life and work of this famous master. Arthur is well versed in the factual material and the ability to present it intelligibly. I will be happy to recommend it to my friends
Good luck, peace and see you soon!

The Martiros Saryan House Museum is an incredibly beautiful place! And this is not just an exhibition, but a living space where the presence of a great artist is felt.
On the ground floor, where Saryan lived and received guests, the atmosphere of his time has been preserved: furniture, household appliances, carpets, beds..... Everything is as it was then.
It is possible to pick up the phone and hear the voice of the master reading the poem.
"The museum building consists of a two-storey mansion in which the artist lived and worked in 1932-1972, and a three-storey gallery attached to it, erected in 1967. "(c)
The paintings literally glow, conveying warmth, the soul of the master and his Armenia.
Some paintings come to life thanks to ARLOOPA technology, allowing you to become an observer of the history of paintings.
For visually impaired visitors, there are smaller copies of canvases that can be touched in order to experience Saryan's art more deeply.
The descriptions are presented in three languages — Armenian, Russian and English.
I want to come back here again. I recommend it to everyone who loves art and beauty!
This is a place where everyone will find something special, warm and bright for themselves.
Must-visit😊
Unfortunately, before visiting the museum, I was not familiar with the artist's work, but this did not prevent me from getting aesthetic pleasure and enjoying incredible talent. If possible, it is better to visit with an excursion, but even without it, each painting has descriptions, as well as the caretakers answer all questions. Thousands of details in the former residential part of the house and studio. There is also a wonderful souvenir shop at the museum.
Our Great Artist is presented very competently and beautifully. The guide is a professional in his field, competent speech, an interesting story. It is impossible not to get aesthetic pleasure from coming into contact with the Great Warp and contemplating and absorbing Saryan's paintings. Many thanks for the emotional inspiration that I received. And an important point is that the guide loves Saryan so much herself that she was able to tell 7 children about him so colorfully, who listened attentively and deeply penetrated into this world of wonderful creativity.
I'll start with the positive. The exposition is magnificent, undoubtedly any connoisseur of painting is obliged to visit this wonderful house museum. Now about the unpleasant, studying the works of the early period of the master, without noticing it, I was carried away by the story of the guide who conducted the tour in parallel. Apparently I got too close, to which I received a question, did I pay for the tour? To my confused reply, uh, that unfortunately I didn't pay, I was told in that case I can't listen…All my enthusiasm for the beautiful works was irrevocably spoiled at that moment…Please note that the halls are small and it is almost impossible to constantly ensure that you are at the maximum distance from the guide, being fascinated by the beautiful works of Martiros Saryan. Apparently, Arthur, that's the name of the guide, has just started his journey as a guide to the world of art and does not yet understand how unpleasant his words were. Nevertheless, the young man tells a very interesting and heartfelt story, so I will not unnecessarily condemn his tactlessness and wish Arthur creative success, and the house museum more visitors!
A wonderful museum, an excellent exposition, intuitive, there are several stands for the visually impaired, labels in Armenian, English and Russian. Annotations are posted on each floor in each hall, so that you can get enough information for an independent visit. There is a small souvenir shop, I would like more goods in it). A website with available information on time and prices.
An excellent museum, cozy, everything is decorated with taste. Friendly staff, I learned a lot about the paintings from the caretaker of the hall, plus there is more information about the artist and descriptions of the works on A4 sheets in three languages: Russian, English and Armenian. And the works themselves, of course, cannot be described in words, you just need to see it.
Wonderful! Fabulous pleasure from Saryan's works, from the house museum itself, from the photographs, the atmosphere prevailing in it, from the people who devoted themselves to this work, from the spirit of the times and the history that you immerse yourself in thanks to Saryan's family. Thanks!
I went without a guide, but in all the halls there is information about paintings in different languages. It is very convenient and informative. The hall in the photo is a workshop. The paintings are wonderful. But I really liked the film, how an artist creates a picture in real time, and even with the music of the artist's son.
A unique museum for a unique person!
Positive:
- in each room there is a booklet with a brief but succinct description of the period in the artist's life;
- friendly museum staff;
- Saryan's magnificent paintings!
- on the first two floors there is a workshop and living quarters where the artist and his family lived. The very atmosphere in which he created has been preserved with love and care.
Be sure to visit, you will not regret it!
A small museum about a big man! The artist lived a long and interesting life, tried and searched for his own style. Fabulous watercolors have sunk into my soul! Of course, I would like to have more paintings in the house museum. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun!
I highly recommend you to visit. Be sure to take a guided tour. It's incredibly interesting, even for those who have nothing to do with art. Wonderful guides. The tour is in both Armenian and Russian. I have been familiar with Saryan's work for a long time, but thanks to a visit to the house museum, I discovered a new side
In the very center of the city. If you love Armenia, then you should definitely visit this museum. Saryan is an original Armenian artist who felt the soul of his people. Be sure to go there!
It is a very good museum, I recommend taking it with an excursion, because it is inexpensive and very rich. In Russian, the tour is usually at 11 and 15, but it is better to call in advance to clarify
We were pleased to visit the Martiros Saryan House Museum! Interesting, original paintings! Among the personal belongings of the artist are jars of 10-6 BC, a gift from B.B. Piotrovsky from the excavations of Karmir Bloor.
I stayed there for so long, I didn't want to leave, it's just great that it's just an art gallery, and the house is a museum. There is his workshop and rooms with a sofa interior, sideboard, piano and carpets. It is a very inspiring place and the artist's works are striking in beauty and have also made paintings for the visually impaired👍🏼
A wonderful museum. The works are bright, lively, and you want to plunge into them with your head. I liked that some of the paintings have copies for people with visual impairments. It's great that in addition to the works, you can also see the studio and the artist's house. Delight!
Many thanks to the guide Arthur for opening the doors to the wonderful, amazing and rich world of the artist. With warmth and involvement, he told and showed the rich world of Saryan's works. A unique house museum with a unique atmosphere. Thank you for preserving the artist's work with such trepidation.
Very beautiful. I understand that the exhibition should be "beautiful", but it is especially warm, clean and clear here. The spirit of the museum very much guesses the spirit of the Artist)
A dream come true this summer! Finally, I visited the legendary Martiros Saryan House Museum! I saw the great canvases of the great master of world painting! This is great! Every educated person should visit this unique place in the center of Yerevan at least once in their life.
If you happen to come to Yerevan, be sure to find at least two hours to visit the museum apartment of the great artist!! I am sure you will want to come back again for emotions and a mood of delight and beauty!
I really liked it! The museum is quite compact and filled. There are beautiful paintings on the 3rd and 2nd floors. On the ground floor there are living rooms where he lived, and exhibits in the form of letters, photographs, etc. Special thanks to the museum for the very succinct descriptions of Saryan's life and his work, they are presented in Russian, English and Armenian.
There is a separate wish - to add postcards with Saryan's works. This was not enough for me personally. I will be happy to come again when I am in Yerevan.
The museum itself is beautiful. The largest collection of Saryan's paintings, the interiors of his house and workshop are colorful and immerse into the world of the artist and Armenia.
Saddened the staff. Officially, the museum closes at 17.00, but at 4.45 the ladies close the bookstore and cash registers and hurry to run home. We wanted to buy a book, but they didn't give it to us, explaining that the ticket offices were closed, although there is no such information officially anywhere. The lady cashier has a negative attitude towards Russians and it was also the only place where we were told that the World does not accept cards.
The impression from the exposition is good, from the staff it is sad. I'm afraid Martiros Saryan would be very sad that such people work in his museum…
A wonderful museum with excellent staff. As a resident of Rostov, it was very interesting to get to know the work and the history of the formation of the great artist more closely.
I just admire Saryan. Saryan's colors bring back to life. I was there 2 times. The first time without a guide, the second time with a guide. With a guide, of course, it's better.

A magnificent museum! The exposition of the artist's works is very good (and they are a miracle how good!!!), and the museum about his life. Made with great love, it leaves only bright impressions. I will try to come here again!
A wonderful museum! Not only the paintings of the artist are presented here, but also his rooms, personal belongings, which allows you to fully penetrate into his life and learn more about this magnificent man. I advise everyone to visit the Martiros Saryan House Museum))
A wonderful museum: wonderful works in the exhibition halls, carefully preserved furnishings of the workshop and the residential part of the house - all this allows you to get into the spirit of Saryan's creativity - the singer of nature and culture of Armenia.
Unfortunately, Mir cards are not accepted, we had enough cash for tickets, but we could not buy books at the museum store. Sorry…
An interesting museum for those who love painting. Compact, cozy. There is an elevator and large-scale paintings for visually impaired people. We recommend you to visit.
Delighted!!! The guide told in Russian how about her family. Interested and introduced to the topic from the first minutes. The museum came to life with her story. The exposition is very positive and bright. After that, they even wanted and bought books about this artist.
I am delighted with this museum in Yerevan. A comfortable space, a huge collection of paintings. Saryan is one of my favorite artists. The entrance ticket for an adult is 1,000 AMD. I recommend the museum.
They said that it was possible to pay for tickets with a card, but when paying they demanded to GIVE the card back, when I said that I would not give my card back, I could attach or insert it into the terminal from my own hands, they told me that they could not give me the terminal and "goodbye". At the moment when the cards were taken from other people, they completely disappeared from view and no one knows what was being done with it at that moment (whether the card data was photographed or not, and the card has all the data with which you can withdraw money without confirmation)
It was the first time, it was very cozy, I liked almost everything, starting from the paintings and their location and the interior, which was very competently laid out by the museum staff! I am 20000% impressed!!!!
It is bright, sunny, warm and very cozy in this house! Thanks to everyone who was involved in the opening and supports the Martiros Saryan House Museum for everyone who wants to get acquainted with his life and work! Vivat, Armenia!
A small but very interesting museum of paintings by one artist plus memorabilia and exhibits on the ground floor. You'll definitely get around everything in an hour. The ticket price is 1000 AMD (~2.5 dollars)
Martiros Saryan is one of the most famous Armenian artists, made a huge contribution to the development of Armenian art, and thus deserved the creation of a personal museum. By looking at his paintings, you will better understand how Armenians see the world and how they relate to their homeland
A wonderful little museum. It's great that there is also an online museum where you can then "walk" through the halls in detail again.

An interesting place, a mini gallery and a house museum. It is better, of course, to take an excursion (it is held twice a day, see the schedule on the website). 40-60 minutes will be enough for self-examination. Admission is 1,500 AMD for foreigners. There is an elevator and a toilet.
A wonderful museum! We got there by accident, there was just a little time left on the last day of our trip, and how wonderful that the trip ended like this! We didn't know anything about Saryan at all! The girl guide talked in such detail and interestingly about life and work, about the details of some paintings, that Saryan revealed himself to us in full force! Thanks! I recommend it to anyone who is interested in art and the biography of historically important personalities!
Excellent paintings by a wonderful artist! He was a friend of the composer Khachaturian, a pupil of Matisse in his style of writing, his colors, images convey the southern temperament, the character of a man who selflessly loves his Armenia and empathizes with it. tragedies
Take 2-3 hours to this museum, fill your eyes with the bright colors of Saryan's paintings, and learn about his wonderful family.
And these Saryan colors will accompany you and be associated with Armenia
A mansion in the center of Yerevan. The artist's works, his workshop, personal belongings. There are few people. You can contemplate. Reproductions were made for blind people. I just got acquainted with the work of the master. A colorful artist. One feels love for the motherland.
