We have been to Mir Castle several times with excursions and on our own. It is always interesting and informative. There are many exhibits in the castle, beautifully decorated halls and showcases. Competent guides, courteous staff. The area around is clean and well maintained, despite the large number of people. There is a Church of St. Nicholas not far from the castle, I also recommend a visit. The only point, try to set aside a whole day for inspection. Then you can fully enjoy a leisurely walk and a tour of the castle. We also went to Nesvizh, and it was already too much.

One of the most famous castles in Belarus. A must-visit. Concise and brutal. At the same time, it is majestic. There is a well-groomed territory with a pond around, you can walk and enjoy the beauty, visit the chapel located here on the territory of the castle. In the evening, from 22.00 to 23.00, the backlight turns on, which gives additional atmosphere to the castle.
There is a hotel on the territory of the castle. If possible, be sure to spend the night in the castle. But keep in mind that you need to book rooms in advance (all detailed information is available on the official website of the Mir Castle). We booked 2 nights in the hotel in advance and did not regret it at all. Very comfortable and atmospheric room. They felt like a kind of princes or counts. Special thanks to the hotel staff - very polite and pleasant.
There is also a Princely Courtyard restaurant on the territory of the castle. Be sure to try the dishes of this restaurant. Sometimes, due to the crowded nature, you will have to wait 30-35 minutes for the dish, but believe me it's worth it. The serving of the dishes and the taste of the dishes themselves are gorgeous!!
In general, I definitely recommend visiting Mir Castle!!!

It was the third time with an interval of 8 years. The territory has become even bigger and more beautiful. Clean, beautiful. There are several mini-cafes and Parking nearby.
There is a photo zone inside the castle for a small fee. Interesting excursions (we did not take them ourselves, but we accidentally got into the group for a while).
The chapel is very beautiful, it was still under reconstruction on our last visit.
There is a hotel inside the castle for those who want to plunge into the Middle Ages. There is a small but cozy hotel nearby. There are few people on a weekday.
There are additional exhibitions - this time wax figures from St. Petersburg were exhibited.
I recommend that you definitely visit.

Among the disadvantages, food is very poorly organized on the territory next to the castle, tents with food / water. There is little choice, mostly snacks or a long wait for food, so be prepared for this.
There is a toilet, but it is paid, which is strange because you have already paid for admission.
There is also a coffee shop and a hotel in the castle itself.
You can get there by car, there are large parking lots. Buses also run there several times a day.

The castle is very interesting. This is an object with a very rich history. It has survived several epochs, many owners, was part of different countries, absorbed the culture of various peoples.
The castle itself seemed relatively small, but with a fairly large exposition. It is well maintained both inside and outside. It is surrounded by a small park pleasant for walking.

It was in September. Very twofold feelings after the visit. It is incredibly beautiful outside, a large territory, a pond and a majestic castle.
After entering the territory, we went to see an exhibition of wax figures. I saw it for the first time, creepy and beautiful. Judith was especially impressed.
I felt very sad about the castle. A completely commercial project. An awkward renovation that doesn't look anything like a renovation. Cheap ceramic tiles with strange and inappropriate decorations, chrome handrails. A huge amount of strange and ridiculous light. Lanterns and spotlights at every turn.
Crowds of people who can't move around the towers, queues of 20-30 minutes. There are no representatives of the administration along the way of inspection, no one oversees or distributes the flow of people.
I appreciated the furniture, which is partially represented in the castle, it's definitely worth a look.
I repeat, it is very sad. It would seem that such a serious part of Belarusian culture, historical heritage.... Ehh...

We spent 3 hours on everything, but it's just running. I do not advise taking tours to the tower too tightly, there are very narrow and steep stairs, but this has happened historically. In general, you get into the life of a medieval castle, and the music in the main courtyard also helps. I recommend.
There is a normal free Parking, near the souvenir market, where without it. The castle has a restaurant, restrooms, a gift shop, everything is in excellent condition and perfectly fits into the style of the castle. There weren't many shops, but there were enough for everyone.

Preferably pants and shorts after all. In dresses, it is as uncomfortable as possible to climb the tiers of towers or descend into the dungeon of the prison. You can take a guided tour in advance. There are audio guides on site. Basic information is provided. The toilets are good, there are several of them. There is inside the museum, there is outside. It's free inside, it's paid outside. There are also plenty of places to eat: on and off the territory. It was in summer and autumn, it was beautiful at both times.

A magnificent place, mesmerizing with its beauty. Fans of the age of knights definitely need to come here! We planned to stop by for a couple of hours, but after passing through the arch of the gate and seeing this huge square paved with massive stones, thick ancient walls and towers towering above them, it was as if we were transported back in time. From the far corner of the square, ancient Celtic-like music could be heard, which intensified the already vivid emotions to goosebumps. The smiles of admiration did not leave our faces. We wandered there all day until we visited every corner of this fascinating place. Separately, I would like to say about the steep stairs with high steps located in the walls of the castle. Climbing them is both an adventure and at the same time a test of physical fitness. How did they do it with weapons and armor? This is the question that arises when you go up.
There are a huge number of exhibits in the castle, which, to our surprise, are allowed to be photographed (for free). A lot of knight's armor, swords and other weapons. But besides that, there is something to see. Namely: magnificent, majestic architecture, fascinating views, both inside and outside the castle, a park, a pond with ducks next to it. There is a tomb behind the castle, which is also worth a visit. There is a beautiful antique-style restaurant in the basement of the castle and appropriate music is playing. It was delicious! For prices: if not often, then you can 😊 Moderate! The area around is well maintained, and the views are just awesome! The car was parked across the street in a huge parking lot. I definitely advise everyone to visit! 😊👍

The stairs are very steep, I was very afraid of heights, I did not go up to the very last floor, but those who were there said that it was empty.. there is an ordinary staircase that rises to half the height (on the wall), but it was made only for descending, which is a pity... Well, the halls in the usual halls were pleased, everything is very beautiful and interesting. There are atmospheric cafes in the basement (the children ate nuggets with French fries there, and we ordered chebureks), and a restaurant. There is an elevator in the main lobby (but I understand it is for the disabled), The overall impression is good. Tickets are not cheap... But you can choose what you want to attend. For small children, the lift is free. There is a souvenir shop on the first floor, where we bought a Crambambula (a family holiday was just planned). There are also tents with souvenirs near the parking lot, we bought magnets and bracelets, the dishes are very expensive. Almost everyone works only with cash. And one more nuance that we did not immediately understand... The toilet at the entrance to the complex is paid... And the building downstairs is free (you can go there without a ticket). There are also large pavilions on the Shchamkov territory where food is prepared (for example, kebabs). If one of the relatives or an acquaintance comes from afar, then a visit to the Mir Castle at home will definitely be included in the visit))

Due to the narrow castle passages between the towers and other rooms, with a large number of people, there are congestion and you have to wait. People with sore knees and musculoskeletal system are not recommended to wander around the towers and the passage - high and not comfortable ladders can cause an unplanned trip to the doctor. There will be no problems with this on the tour.

Mir Castle Complex is one of the most impressive architectural landmarks of the XIV century, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It is located in the village of Mir in the Grodno region of Belarus. I definitely recommend visiting, but we were all a little upset about the prison. We thought that this would be the most interesting and left it for last, but it turned out to be a waste of time, nothing interesting, only wooden pads and shackles, we went down longer than we inspected the premises. But in general, the impressions of the visit are very good, the castle is beautifully restored, everything is clean and tidy. We are thrilled to visit this castle. A very colorful and historical place! Be prepared for the fact that the whole castle consists of very steep, brick and dark stairs, we traveled with the baby and the poet, we were asked to leave the stroller on the street in front of the entrance (it is not being monitored, so we took it to the car). It took us about 2 hours to visit the dam with climbing these stairs (we ourselves, without a tour). At one point, the legs already refused to climb, very steep stairs. We also went down to the prison, at one point such a staircase led to the castle's own church, in general, it is unusual, but once again I would not like to go through this. We wanted to have lunch at the restaurant at the castle, but the waiters informed us that the food was waiting for 1 hour and we decided to eat somewhere else.

by chance, we decided to stay at the hotel for 2 nights and did not regret it,
we lived in a comfort room for one day, the second night in a suite. The staff is lovely
and polite. An iron and a kettle can be requested in the room. The rooms are clean
and tidy, but it would not hurt to refresh the renovation in the bathrooms (therefore, I remove one star)!
There are many impressions left and for a long time. We will definitely recommend

A wonderful place, we were on a weekday with 2 children of 5 years and 1 year old. We really liked it, they didn't take excursions, the children will grow up, then we will listen to the excursions). We were in good weather, it was hot and the wind was blowing. It's just like we got into a fairy tale as we entered the courtyard. And I don't want to leave the castle a bit. Very pleasant staff, very warm attitude to children especially, and to all the guests, some moments when the children wanted to touch everything were spoken very unobtrusively, at ease, it was very pleasant. A gorgeous place, beautiful souvenirs, inexpensive. Babble, beauty. I recommend choosing a weekday with good weather.
The walk around the lake was very pleasant, like in a fairy tale. The views are very beautiful. I will never forget the warm attitude towards our children, I have never seen such a thing anywhere. Thanks a lot to the staff and everyone who is involved in the reconstruction, work in the castle!!!

In general, there is a good exposition, weapons, armor, a lot of personal belongings, dishes. A separate tower is dedicated to the Jewish ghetto, but the exposition consists mainly of printed texts and photos in poor quality, so it is more like a prototype of a wall newspaper than an exhibition. Probably, if you read all this, it is very informative.
In addition to the floors of the castle itself, the main exposition includes towers and a basement. The towers are labyrinthine staircases and several small halls, either empty or with unremarkable exhibits. The basement is actually a small room with a shameful block, which would be a fun attraction for a roadside cafe, but somehow it's too weak for a museum. Given the stairs and passages that require physical effort, you can safely score on these extras, you will not lose anything.
I was at the time of the school holidays, the flow of visitors was large, but this, oddly enough, came as a surprise to the museum administration and no one thought of increasing the number of wardrobe workers. The only employee of the wardrobe, of course, could not cope, although she tried. The administrator also did not consider it relevant to lower any of the numerous cocktail aunts into the wardrobe. As a result, I waited in line for half an hour to hand over my clothes, which is the first time I've visited museums all over the planet in many years. In other words, the administration does not see the need to increase spending due to an increase in the number of ticket sales, which affects the overall impression. Well, let's say to ourselves, process optimization.
There is a restaurant with good cuisine and service in the basement of the castle. And, by the way, he turned out to be the only one not closed for "special maintenance" in the district.
I recommend visiting Mirsky to Nesvizh Radziwill Castle, and not vice versa.

We were with our family in July 2024. Not impressed, it's monumental from the outside. But inside, although we were on an individual tour, we were not hooked. In fact, this is a cottage of a noble family. There are mostly new models and few exhibits inside. One wing operates as a museum. And walls and towers are not for the faint of heart. It is narrow, dark in places, and the most important thing is that there is no meaning and no result. Crowds of tourists make their way between each other trying to find at least something beautiful or interesting, but they do not find it. And everyone's legs hurt, the stairs are very steep. There is a crowd of tourists in the souvenir shop, there is nothing to breathe, the weather was hot (there seems to be an air conditioner, but it was not turned on), maybe so that tourists would leave faster. The place looks like it has become like in eastern countries, they invented it, painted it and for money crowds of tourists are taken to see it. Somehow it turned out that way. Thanks for attention. In addition to the main exhibition, you can climb the steep stairs to the towers , go down to the prison basement , go to a separate chapel. Schoolchildren get a 50% discount on admission , they do not ask for Belarusian citizenship, they are pleased that children are treated loyally. I didn't like the audio guide , the same thing is written on the stand, next to the exhibits, I regretted that I didn't take a tour of the castle. A place with powerful energy, but you need to pay attention to the historical context, since the fate of the castle to a certain extent is the personification of the fate of the country.
