The building in which the museum is located is very beautiful and striking in its beauty. In the main building (in the historical building) there are paintings by Russian artists of the Romanov dynasty - the works of Repin and his students, Aivazovsky, there are works by Vrubel. If you have often visited the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, then the first building of the museum will be native to you, since most of the works will be recognizable. There are also miniatures of horses from the Anichkin Bridge, the same miniatures are located in the Tretyakov Gallery. In other buildings attached to the museum there are works of Asia, India, works by Italian artists, as well as preserved objects of local art - the Lithuanian Principality. In the same new building on the floor above, you can find works from the time of the existence of the BSSR. The museum is very interesting and informative, as a tourist I really liked the museum - it seems to combine the grains of the Russian Museum and the Hermitage at the same time.
I was also surprised by the fact that the museum hosts photo shoots of the newlyweds, as well as organized practice for students and activities for children in the halls of the museum.
The museum is certainly worth attention and is recommended for visiting by both guests of Minsk and local residents.
A beautiful majestic building, the architecture and monumentality of the structure are impressive.
Several exhibition halls, including in the new buildings, do not need to leave the building, they are connected by galleries and passages.
The history of the museum is both tragic and vital - during the Second World War, during the difficult time of occupation, the collection was almost completely lost, taken by the Nazis to private collections and museums in Germany. But thanks to such incredible enthusiasts of museum business as Elena Vasilyevna Aladova
Director of the State Art Gallery (1944 – 1977), a new collection was assembled, including the largest in the world - Belarusian art (painting, sculpture, applied art).
Now it is a very worthy collection, about 37,000 different exhibits, among them masterpieces of national art and different countries and peoples.
Russian Russian classical painting of the 18th and 20th centuries was a special gift to me - paintings by Polenov, Aivazovsky, Tropinin, Shishkin, Levitan, Kustodiev, Repin, Korovin, the famous "Moonlit Night on the Dnieper" by Arkhip Kuindzhi (author's replica), the first painting was painted in 1880, is kept in the State Russian Museum of St. Petersburg (Oil on canvas. 105 × 146 cm).
Other versions of the canvas are kept in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow (oil on canvas, 104 × 143 cm, 1882), the Simferopol Art Museum ("Night on the Dnieper", oil on canvas, 111 × 147 cm, 1882), the Astrakhan Art Gallery named after P. M. Gadadin ("Night on the Dnieper", oil on canvas, 110 × 146 cm, 1882, received from the Guchkov collection) and the National Art Museum of Belarus ("Night over the Dnieper", 1880s). There was another one in the Kiev Art Gallery (until 2017 — the Kiev Museum of Russian Art)...
A special place is occupied by the Collection of ancient Belarusian art (about 120 works of the XII — late XVIII centuries) - rarities of the past centuries, carefully preserved and allowing you to feel the flavor of Belarus, unique and unique (frescoes, icons, carved sculpture, book graphics, decorative and applied art).
The museum houses a large collection of works by Ivan Fomich Khrutsky, famous for his bright decorative still lifes ("Flowers and Fruits", "Flowers and Fruits", "Fruits and Candle", the second half of the 1830s). Landscapes and portraits from different years present in the exhibition the work of Apollinarius Gilarievich Goravsky, a native of the Minsk province, a graduate of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and a friend of Pavel Tretyakov.
The new buildings feature works
by modern authors, very talented and original.
And also the collection of Oriental art (China, Japan, Asia) requires special attention.
It is impossible to get around the entire museum in a day, and it is not necessary, it is better to stretch the pleasure and impressions, so plan a couple of days, you will not regret it!
I recommend it, with pleasure and pleasure!))
A gorgeous museum collection of picturesque masterpieces! Excellent layout of exhibits in the halls! A true enjoyment of art! Special thanks to the museum curators ♥️♥️♥️ - nice people, polite, suggested that you should not forget to look!!! But, in the very first minutes of my arrival at the museum, I wanted to turn around and leave! I am an ordinary researcher at the State Museum of the Russian Federation, an extremely polite and good-natured person, I never "sparkle" with regalia. I went to the ticket office and asked if I could visit the museum using a museum employee's ID? The lady at the checkout didn't like my question (it was obvious from my face) and I was directed to the administrator. I gave the administrator a certificate saying "Can I visit the museum for free, as an employee of the museum?", she made a face in response, then I came to ask for a loan for a piece of bread from bayaryni! Yes, I was allowed to go to the museum. But it was just a "great favor from the Empress herself"!!!! I walked away from the reception desk, not knowing where to go. I turned around, asked the same receptionist about the place of the beginning of the inspection, in response there was an "automatic burst" - "We have a free visit!". I didn't say anything, I think okay, I'll figure out the route myself. But in the back I heard the administrator say with a certain disgust in his voice: "Yeah... The keyword is "employee". I turned around and asked, "Colleagues, is something wrong?" The answer is "Nothing" (again from the master's shoulder). Maybe my story is too subjective, but at that moment I felt ashamed. I scolded myself in the first halls, why I showed this ID, etc. Thanks again to the beautiful young ladies, the caretakers and my favorite artists! Many thanks to the keepers and all colleagues! Walking through the halls, I forgot the nonsense from the lobby and got a lot of emotions from watching the exhibition! I wish the museum prosperity, strengthening the collection with new masterpieces and getting rid of people who do not know how to work with visitors!!!
The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus is a real treasure trove of art. A magnificent collection is presented here, covering both Belarusian art and works by world masters. The halls of the museum are spacious and well-organized, which allows you to quietly enjoy the exhibitions and immerse yourself in art.
The halls with works by Belarusian artists are especially impressive, where you can learn a lot about the culture and history of the country through painting and sculpture. The museum also features works by Western European, Russian and Oriental masters, which makes its collection really diverse.
The museum staff is always ready to help and tell you more about each work. For those who are interested in art and history, a visit to the National Art Museum will be unforgettable.
A wonderful museum, excellent modern architectural solutions for the new interior space. The museum was founded in 1939, when the annexation of the Western Belarusian lands took place. Therefore, the museum's exposition is very interesting. There are paintings by Serov, Vrubel, Korovin, Bryullov, Vasnetsov and original portraits of Polish magnates Radziwills. There are a lot of unusual things. You can wander here for hours. There is a nice cafe on the ground floor where you can pause and then continue the tour.
Exceeded expectations! I thought it would be smaller. But the collection is impressive, there are many modern works, as well as many famous artists (Vereshchagin, Kuindzhi, Shishkin, Makovsky, Vrubel, Vasnetsov, Aivazovsky, etc.). The interior is very very beautiful in archetectural terms! Transparent ceilings, stairs, passages... I really liked the museum, I recommend it to all guests of Minsk!
Quite wisely, the "Museum ["... on the third floor there are works by the Belarusian ethnographer Yazep Drozdovich.
This is very unusual.
Long before man's flight into space, he tried to draw Saturn, to represent Saturnians-the inhabitants of the planet"] was founded in 1939, when the annexation of the Western Belarusian lands took place"...
Briefly about the main thing for those living in the Union State (supranational formation of Russia and Belarus with a phased unified political, economic, military, customs, currency, legal, humanitarian, market and cultural space.
The names "Union of Russia and Belarus" (SRB), "Union State of Russia and Belarus" (SRB), "Union of Belarus and Russia", "Union State of Belarus and Russia" are also found in the press.
A common holiday is the Day of Unity of the peoples of Belarus and Russia (celebrated since April 2, 1997)):
"Among the collection of Russian paintings of the 19th century, you can see the author's version of Vasnetsov's painting "Three Tsarevnas of the Underworld".
It differs significantly from the canvas in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, but the style and the search for the author are absolutely clear."
The most beloved museum in Minsk. I recommend visiting both residents of the capital and tourists. Convenient location, beautiful monumental building with columns. The staff is nice and friendly, the caretakers do not bother. A gorgeous permanent exhibition and, from time to time, there are exciting temporary ones. A spacious space for "classical" art
When traveling to cities and countries, we always visit art galleries. It is in them that there are paintings reflecting the soul of the people, the faces of people living in the country, everyday life, sights and much more. The National Art Museum is no exception. Livitsky's portraits, Shishkin's landscapes, Aivazovsky's sea and more...
In the museum, on the third floor there are works by the Belarusian ethnographer Yazep Drozdovich. This is very unusual. Long before man's flight into space, he tried to draw Saturn, to represent the Saturnians-the inhabitants of the planet. Be sure to visit this museum!
A small museum, there are very interesting paintings. Foreign artists are practically not represented. Russian painting and sculpture are well represented in two halls. The employees are professional and friendly. The building is large, there are many rooms for scientific activities and storage. Beautiful architecture, very conveniently located.
A fantastic art gallery! I advise everyone to choose a time for a mandatory visit! Russian painting is represented not just by good paintings by famous artists, but by canvases of the highest category. In the list: Tropinin, Shishkin, Levitan, Venetsianov, Aivazovsky, Ge, Makovsky, Kramskoy, Polenov, Savrasov, Surikov, Repin, Kuindzhi, Nesterov, Arkhipov, Malyavin, Korovin, Serebryakova and many, many other masterpieces.
A beautiful historical building, an impressive collection of works by various artists. The halls are beautifully decorated. And it is also worth noting the museum staff, everyone is very friendly, friendly and attentive. We got a good impression and aesthetic pleasure from visiting the National Art Museum.
There were positive impressions of the museum, the exhibition presents real masterpieces, it's great that you can see them live for such a modest ticket price. The staff is polite and friendly. I do not think it is appropriate to compare this museum with the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, etc., each museum is beautiful and valuable in its own way, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus is a place worth visiting.
I really liked the museum. Three floors and plus an additional exhibition building. There are many different exhibitions of classical and modern art. The staff is responsive and not intrusive. You can take pictures. The building is also beautiful in itself. The exhibitions are decorated at a high level. There is a toilet, a cafe and a shop. The prices are reasonable.
Very interesting expositions. The main one in the hall with a balcony is from relics of antiquity and ancient China to Renaissance paintings, and two floors for modern art. The latter are also worth visiting — these are the works of Marc Chagall's teacher Y.M.Pan, the portraitist of the Jewish intelligentsia J.M.Kruger and the contemporary expressionist Mikola Bushik. The exhibition of works by blind artists of the Belonica Art project deserves special mention. There is definitely something to see in the museum, I highly recommend it
If you love fine art and find yourself in Minsk, be sure to visit the National Art Museum. He's amazing. From the architecture of the building itself to the collection of art objects. In 2 hours, I managed to get around barely a third of the museum. I managed to pay attention to the collection of Russian iconography of the 15th-16th century. There are very unusual exhibits. Among the collection of Russian paintings of the 19th century, you can see the author's version of Vasnetsov's painting "Three Princesses of the Underworld". It differs significantly from the canvas in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, but the style and the search for the author are absolutely clear.
Contemporary art of Belarus is also of interest.
The National Art Museum. Permanent exhibition of Russian art.
What can you expect from a museum that you've been to an infinite number of times? I remember almost all the exhibits from the time when I still went here as a child with my parents.
And now, when I go to new expositions and exhibitions, I definitely pass by.
.
Therefore, I decided to test myself and go through the QUEST EMOTIONS IN THE WORLD OF RUSSIAN ART OF THE ART MUSEUM.
.
Passed on the phone from the site https://whatiftour.com/ru /
.
I must say right away that I was pleasantly surprised.
.
It was unusual and very entertaining for me.
I didn't notice how I got carried away with the subjects of the paintings and the search for answers.
The quest was made interesting.
Tasks are both simple and complex. But the difficulty is regulated by hints.
After each task, there is an interesting little story - rare facts about the exhibit. Those that you will not hear from the guide and are unlikely to find quickly on the Internet.
.
I'm thrilled! I learned a lot about familiar works of art. I've rediscovered some things.
Thanks! I got a lot of emotions!
I think this is a great format for visiting a museum. And it doesn't matter if you go there for the first or the hundredth time.
In my opinion, it is suitable for everyone! And for one, and for a couple, and for a company and for visiting parents with children.
I would like to have more such quests in the museum!
I don't like comparisons - the Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Louvre. I believe that in every art museum of the city of aphis in the country you can find your own highlight, your great value. Let the canvases be not famous, but the collections, their presentation, even the building itself and the staff will deserve their uniqueness and incomparability. I will say this - for me, the NHM RB was a pleasant discovery. The audio guide is not bad, I picked up some interesting points and new facts. The most beloved Kuindzhi and Brullov are available. "Returned masterpieces" are thrown out of contemplation and reality and forced to involuntarily recall the dark pages of the country's history. And any place I visit in the Republic of Belarus, I involuntarily remember what it cost to save all this, to build anew and continue to multiply.
Let the museum collection be filled with masterpieces, let local artists and sculptors reveal themselves! I recommend you to visit.
In my opinion, this museum is one of the main assets of Belarus and Minsk. To put it bluntly, the reality exceeded all my expectations of the place. An incredibly rich collection of Russian paintings! A wonderful collection of Belarusian art, painting and sculpture, up to modern. The museum building itself is also wonderful, or rather, there are several of them: the main building, which you look at from the street, is a monumental building, the main staircase inside is like a scaled-down copy from the Russian Museum, and the halls resemble the Tretyakov Gallery: there is also ceiling lighting, but not as aggressive as in the Tretyakov Gallery, glare on the canvases is less but there is clearly not enough light, some canvases turn out to be in semi-darkness. The hanging of the paintings is dense, in 2 rows, the atmosphere is very cozy and semi-domestic. There is a strong feeling that there are so many exhibits that the room is simply overflowing with masterpieces! And they say there are also 30 thousand paintings in the storerooms! That's good! And when you move from the main old building to the new one, you open your mouth in amazement: such a bright, exquisite museum space has been created! it looks like an Italian palace, with stairs, light atriums, a courtyard, art lectures and probably concerts are held here, there is a grand piano. And you also go through the glass gallery to the exhibition building, temporary exhibitions are held here! The main building is still hosting the exhibition "Repin and his disciples", just like in the New Jerusalem Museum in the Moscow region, it's all for the 180th anniversary of Repin. The Minsk Museum contains paintings from the collections of this museum and from Vitebsk. A wonderful exhibition! We planned to visit the museum for an hour and a half, spent 3 hours, realized that we couldn't cover everything at once anyway, and we'll be happy to come back again! I think this place is a must-visit in Minsk, pleasure is guaranteed!) The staff is very good-natured and sociable, they will tell you a lot of interesting things. The overall impression of the museum is a delight!
I was marking the time. 111 minutes were spent on a tour of all the halls and the new extension with three additional expositions.
A small, modest and clean museum, there are interesting works like Unequal Marriage, Shishkin, Aivazovsky..
For a general outlook, it is definitely worth a visit.
If you are a miser, do not take an additional ticket to the new building.. it costs 4 rubles (120 Russian rubles).. there are probably always expositions of local artists.
I liked everything as a pastime
The most interesting museum in Minsk. An excellent selection of domestic and foreign art. The exposition is located in three buildings. There are not many visitors, there is an opportunity to look at the paintings without a time limit.
The museum itself is not bad, there are very few people, almost no one. My son and I took a quiet walk and looked at the exhibition. But the staff are not very friendly. Even the child noted that the cashier was not polite and not friendly. She answered questions about tickets sharply and rudely, as if we were personally interfering with her, although she was not at her workplace and she came to the checkout after inviting other employees. Such an unpleasant incident spoils the whole impression of the museum (
It turned out to be quite interesting)) Different painting techniques. There is a hall dedicated to military topics. There is also a hall where icons and church utensils are located (a little). I was interested in one point, but I don't know on a permanent basis or not.. I noticed children in one of the halls who were allowed to draw (there was a film on the floor and the children laid out sheets and paints there) This pleased me, as the children are busy with creativity, and adults could safely enjoy the art)) I plan to return there, but now with the children))
A beautiful building, a magnificent collection of works by Belarusian artists. They also got to Russian painting, beloved Shishkin, Kuindzhi, Grabar, Repin, Korovin. That's great! It is very atmospheric and pleasant, I would like to return.
The impression begins from the entrance group, an ancient building and continues with magnificent halls, old and new buildings, and an amazingly selected exposition.
It is definitely necessary to visit, especially for those who have already visited the Hermitage, Tretyakov or Vladivostok galleries.
We got into the Art Museum, thanks to the Quest Emotions in the world of Russian art of the Art Museum. Passed on the phone from the site https://whatiftour.com/ru/
You will need the quest in the following cases:
You have decided to set aside time exclusively for yourself and at the same time spend a couple of hours without boredom. An independent, thoughtful walk through the halls of the NHM with the simultaneous passage of the quest is an exciting and informative study of art objects that will not let you get bored.
You are choosing a place for a romantic date. The quest will allow you to get closer, learn character traits, behavior in difficult situations, and assess the level of intelligence. There will definitely be topics for an interesting conversation, and maybe a dispute, as well as a compromise.
You want to spend time with the whole family together with the children. After receiving the task from the quest, the children will be passionate about finding answers to the tasks. And you can enjoy the paintings of famous masters in peace.
The quest is perfect for families, but even for us, adults, it was very interesting.
Our experience:
Not all the questions were easy to answer.
I admit, I had to use hints a couple of times.
Additional information to the correct answer is very useful. Interesting facts supplemented the knowledge where the answer was chosen intuitively.
The quest helps, and even forces, to thoughtfully consider the works of artists and notice the details.
The quest will help you express your emotions and impressions, and in some places it will require you to put them into words.
I recommend thinking over the list of cherished desires in advance. Then you will understand why and say thank you. 😊
In general, when you have a couple of hours of free time, run to the NHM with your favorite gadget (phone) in your hand, launch the quest and enjoy a selection of emotions.
It's like the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, only it's better and more logically arranged. It's like the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, only poorer.
The most interesting exposition is on the 4th floor with Belarusian art of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is necessary to start from its left side, where the self-portrait of the founder of the Vitebsk school of painting Yudel Pan is located. And then move clockwise: the chronology is simple - this is the development of Belarusian art by year. On the other side of the room there will be the 90s and the 2 thousandth.
On different floors there are Aivazovsky, Korovin, Kuindzhi, Popov, church art, ancient Belarusian.
The museum also has a separate building where temporary exhibitions are held. You can get there through the passage.
A wonderful museum. An excellent collection of Russian art is represented by paintings by Repin, Kustodiev, Aivazovsky, Shishkin, Kuindzhi, Makovsky, Vrubel, Mashkov, etc. Definitely worth a visit!
This is a must have place to visit. The new building is doubly good both in content and exteriors. During the visit, we got to a concert of the Belarusian chamber choir - we got creative ecstasy. In general, it is necessary to visit and find "your" work of art. Recommend 👍
The exposition is extensive and worthy of attention, icons are presented on the ground floor, works by Shishkin, Aivazovsky, Repin, Kuindzhi on the second floor, artists of Belarus above, modern art in the new building. I advise you to visit and get aesthetic pleasure.
A rich exposition of works dating back to the XVI century. Paintings by artists of the XIX-XX centuries are especially widely represented, but there are also more modern canvases.
Poor lighting: there is only light from the ceiling on the spacious hall, a lot of glare and shadows at work. The color of the walls often interferes with the perception of canvases and sculptures
We visited the museum with children aged 9-11. A beautiful building, the collection of paintings is impressive. The museum is huge. Icons of the 16th-18th centuries, paintings by Russian artists. I haven't even seen many paintings before. And some paintings are presented as options. The art of India, Japan and other countries is presented. Everything is very interesting.
A wonderful museum on 3 floors in a beautiful building. An excellent collection of paintings and sculptures by European, Belarusian and, of course, Russian masters. There are many famous names and paintings. You can't look at everything at once. I definitely recommend it.
I love our museum.Handsome, stately, interesting, modern..Wonderful thematic exhibitions are taking place. For those who love museums, culture and just think in the museum silence, I recommend visiting on a weekday, not a holiday.
A great place to spend a day off with your family. Always, after visiting the museum, you feel a little more cultured and enlightened. We also tried to explain to children the value and beauty of a particular work of art: be it a painting, sculpture, or carpet..
A good and quite large collection of paintings. I really liked the collection of Japan, China and Korea, interesting exhibits.
The halls with the main collection are stuffy and dark. I would like a little more light.
The museum has several halls where a magnificent collection of Belarusian, Russian, European and Asian art is presented. Audio guided tour technology is available and guided tour services are provided for groups of visitors.
Of course, not the Tretyakov Gallery or the Hermitage, but there are interesting paintings. Aivazovsky, for example. I also liked the new building. Beautiful and bright. That's probably why it attracts newlyweds for photo shoots. By the way, there is a very nice coffee shop here. I recommend to take a look)
A beautiful, beautiful place with many paintings and exhibits... There are many halls, the building itself is very beautiful.. There are soft sofas to relax and sit on.. I really liked it, and the ticket price is not big at all
A great place for art lovers , a huge museum , many halls, two buildings and there is a passage between them, several floors, many artists are represented, there are also exhibitions of Belarusian artists
A magnificent museum with a rich collection of paintings.
Russian and foreign paintings of the 18th and 20th centuries. Sculpture, ceramics, porcelain.
Paintings by Belarusian artists.Be sure to visit.
A gorgeous museum, beautiful and interesting exhibitions, one museum building is worth a lot! Delight! but! The disgusting work of the staff, starting from the cash register, from the very entrance you are discouraged from visiting this wonderful place. A group of students came to the exhibition, provided for the availability of student tickets (and not only!!!) to receive discounted tickets. Our student papers were not considered valid, the whole group presented test books, where there was all the evidence that we were really students, with the seals of the dean's office, etc., they also presented data from electronic journals (after all, the year is 2024), where there was also an even clearer confirmation of all our student data. All this did not prove to the employee of the ticket office that we are really students, and in response we heard only "you're wasting my nerves." But still, the dispute was over, and they conceded and sold us discounted tickets. But we didn't know that this was just the beginning. Then, after going 2 steps to the next employee to check tickets (who was closely watching our showdown at the checkout all this time!!!), we were faced with the fact that we had to prove again that we were students, and we stubbornly did not want to be allowed into the museum, because the women started the game "who's in the museum is more important." Disgusting impressions for a long time. We came to the art museum, but we ended up in the circus! According to the reviews below, it is clear that we are not the first to face the boorish attitude of employees. We ask the management to take appropriate measures. You are the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus! It is terrible and shameful to bring guests of the capital here!
I liked the museum. A good collection of Russian paintings, bronzes and porcelain. A wonderful collection of icons and oriental art. But modern painting is for the amateur.
Perov, Serov, Vasnetsov, Savrasov, Semiradsky, Roerich, Kuindzhi, Repin, Pukirev, Shishkin, Aivazovsky - there is! Many other things are also present. An audio guide can be purchased separately, but not all canvases are commented on. There is modern art (for an amateur). There is religious painting and much more.
A very large museum. We spent two hours, but we could only look at the overview. There are many interesting exhibits, the works of famous artists are presented
artists. There are thematic exhibitions on the ground floor.
A wonderful museum. There are many paintings in different techniques and on different subjects. Some paintings remain in the memory for a long time.
Plus, the museum has very clear navigation, which is sometimes very lacking.
A large, beautiful modern museum .There are a lot of art collections and exhibitions .Those who love art should definitely visit this museum)) The museum is located in the city center. The staff is good, everything is clean, beautiful, and tidy. There are places to relax .I recommend the museum to visit) You won't regret it )
The richest collection. It's not in the Russian Museum, or in the Tretyakov Gallery. But this is Minsk. Great collection, modern playground, easy navigation. The museum is worth visiting.
A large museum consisting of two buildings connected by a passage is not inferior to its counterparts the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian or the Hermitage. It has two buildings where samples of both foreign and domestic art are presented. All lovers of classical art are required to visit, modern art is presented here in a very limited number
There is a separate hall dedicated to the history of Minsk, I advise you to take a walk around the city first to find out the places in the paintings
There is also a hall dedicated to iconography, there are two small Three-handed icons on large icons, a rather rare icon of the Mother of God with three hands
I must say right away that the museum is really very large, in 3 hours last year we did not complete it together with a friend. There are many very interesting paintings, and many of them are original, not reproductions. In addition to paintings, there are also other art objects, such as vases, statues, etc. There was even a separate room with Japanese, Chinese vases, figurines and other elements of their art, it seems to be a permanent exhibition, but I may be mistaken.
