The restaurant has an unusual layout. The unusual thing is that the tables are located in the aisles. I do not know the history of this place, but it feels like it was an apartment building, and someone came up with the idea to make a restaurant out of it. Cool. The food was delicious. It turned out to be more comfortable in the cramped space. The beauty of the old walls and the view from the window. It's like I've been in a fairy tale.
We were there at the beginning of 2020 (the pre-pandemic era). I wonder if he's still alive?
1221 there is no more here. Most of the dishes have also changed their name. The visit has lost its meaning completely. If you recommended it very much before, then now you can safely pass by.

One of our favorite places, in old Riga. Whenever we come to visit or on business, we certainly come here for lunch or dinner. Pistachio soup is above all praise , it is simply adored by children , game lovers will be pleased with the beaver , tasting menu 👌
Local liqueurs will warm you up in any bad weather and the serving will please you!
Special thanks to the staff, always at the highest level! The waiters have tact, humor, and professionalism! I hope that in a difficult "covid" situation, the management managed to keep the entire squad.
I would like to wish the restaurant to preserve its individuality, intimacy, and its flavor! We are waiting for the opening of borders and rushing to visit 🙌
We visited this restaurant in early January 2020.
Pros: a historical place with its original atmosphere.
Cons: the discrepancy between the price and quality of the dishes. We ordered modestly - peas, caesar salad, coffee, tea. 101 euros came out for four, that is, about 7,500 rubles. The peas were served with the remains of the plastic bag in which they were packed. The impression of the dishes is average.
This place is good only in terms of drinking coffee in a cozy atmosphere and no more.
The price tag in this place is not the cheapest, but it's worth a visit! A large selection of game dishes (varies depending on the season). A quiet, cozy place.
The service is disgusting. Absolutely the worst restaurant in terms of staff skills. Such incompetence from the waiters and the manager has not been seen anywhere, in any country. The price tag is too high, the food is ordinary. The atmosphere on the second floor is very good. But the author's cuisine, game dishes - do not waste time and money. They're not worth it.
