The castle was built around 900-950 AD. By visiting it, you will plunge into the historical era of that time. Looking at the accompanying accessories, knights' armor, weapons, and torture chambers, you can vividly imagine the way of life and lifestyle of the people of that time. It's very unusual and I really liked it,

a beautiful castle, but it's better not to visit inside: it's expensive and nothing interesting

Ghent is generally a beautiful old European city, I liked the castle, but I didn't get inside.
The Castle of the Counts of Flanders is a must-visit place in Ghent. For 10 euros (free for 18, discounts for 19-25 people), you can walk the entire castle along a specially designed route, get an explanatory brochure in your own language - and it's all very interesting! The halls are of stunning beauty, everything is medieval, breathtaking. The ticket offices have toilets, and you can get from the station by the 1st tram.
