We lived within walking distance. There is a huge market nearby. A functioning madrasah, paid entrance, a dress code, a cozy picturesque courtyard. On the second floor there is a workshop with beautiful souvenirs made of precious woods. If you solve the secret, the master gives you good discounts. Special thanks for the free entrance, when we were allowed into the souvenir shop (on our return to Tashkent) after 7 days to buy a previously liked box. They did not find a better quality and price either in Bukhara or in Samarkand.
I was born in the Ancient city of Samarkand, I often miss its historical places, I come here to feel the atmosphere of Samarkand) it's very cool, you can also buy souvenirs and gifts for friends!
The historical landmark is well preserved as a madrasah is currently not functioning, but the doors of the madrasah are open to tourists as a workshop of artisans of applied arts.
One of the legacies of our history of the people and religion. At the present time, everything has turned back. There are students studying like the old days with excellent teachers. Now many tourists come to the madrasah to see the beauty and life of those times. I recommend everyone to visit and immerse themselves in the history of our religion.
A small well-kept courtyard. You can only walk around the perimeter. You can climb to the second floor by a steep stone staircase. On the second floor there are souvenirs and artists, as well as just a view of the courtyard. Entrance is paid - about 106 rubles in Russian
To my surprise, Samarkand has been transformed - the infrastructure for tourists is very developed.
We visited Samarkand in October 2023.
Not far from the train station, we met a guide with a car and a partner with a car.
There were 7 of us and they accompanied us.
They showed us Gur-Emir, Registan Square, Ulugbek Observatory and the Holy Spring of Daniel at the intersection of the Silk Road.
Took us to lunch
The guide was very cheerful and we all had a delicious lunch together.
Difficulties were only with the purchase of tickets for Afrosiab, and in general, a great trip in a fun company 👍
The place is very beautiful, but women are not allowed in, since this is a place of study for men, for religious reasons, women are not allowed to visit a place where there is a crowd of men, and men can only enter by covering their avrat (legs above the knees, headdress)
It is mandatory to view, but not large, the monks' cells were not allowed, the tourist service is extremely underdeveloped. The place is religious. In general, the new model, the old one was not shown. For single viewing.
This is one of the old buildings of the city of Tashkent, I managed to visit it once.
Artisans are still working inside.I especially liked the handmade jewelry boxes.
The oldest surviving architectural monument in Tashkent and one of the most beautiful in the city. A pleasant small courtyard, which can be admired from the gallery on the second floor.
A beautiful place where the history of the 16th century has been preserved, it still functions as a madrasah (religious educational institution)
There is a workshop on the second floor, check the price before you buy something))
They take care of the mini garden, it's clean.
An impressive structure, an operating madrasah, you can go inside for a little money, we even managed to walk around the perimeter of the second floor and look into the study rooms. Near Chor Su Market
This is a historical place , when you go there , you get satisfaction and peace of mind , especially when you climb the stairs and touch history with your hands
The madrasah is good, God bless the teachers. In general, the area from the central telegraph to the CRSU is good places and people, especially bookstores
