It was built between 1901-1905 for the merchant Gorelik. The solution of the facade of the building is made in the Art Nouveau style. The corner of the building is emphasized by a faceted tower with a pointed dome. The tower used to house a chapel. The building stands out among other Donetsk buildings with the bizarre outlines of balconies, dynamic window framing, restrained facade decoration and inserts of ceramic tile cladding[2].
