The Parque de la Barceloneta is located between the beach of the same name, Passeig de Salvat Papasseit and Carrer del Gas. The park was founded in 1989, designed by architects Jordi Henrich and Olga Tarrasó and is located on the former territory of a demolished gas plant, which is reminiscent of the remaining water tower in the park - the Torre de les aigues, built in 1905. The park seemed pretty nice: lush vegetation from palm trees to Aleppo pines, neat paths, benches. There are cafes, playgrounds for children, and even a football field in the park...
