The airport is quite small by European standards (flights every 15-20 minutes), the work in which is organized with German accuracy and clarity. Check-in at 2-5 counters, depending on the queue. The toughest preflight inspection that I have met was forced to give the mourners a tube of cream (due to exceeding the norms) and a turbo lighter (only ordinary ones are allowed). Extremely friendly staff - presented with a personal authorized lighter, as they did not miss the last one. At the exit to the clean area, they unobtrusively reminded that luggage can only be checked in at the check-in desk.
There are no queues from the word at all. The halls of the clean zone are empty, after which it is strange to get into a crowded plane.
Excellent transport accessibility - railway and bus according to the schedule.

I had to use it once back in 1987. A lot of time has passed since then and the airport has changed a lot for the better. Dresden deserves to have a modern airport in the city that meets all international requirements. I remember taking off flights of planes that were clearly visible from my window in a patch on a regular bus to my apartment then there were 3 stops.

It's a great airport. Gorgeous, native Dresden, with its own unique history. The city is twinned with St. Petersburg. German friends also live here, soon I will live here))))
