Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) is quite convenient and modern. It pleases tourists with its design, which reflects the Caribbean atmosphere. The airport space is bright and spacious, which creates a pleasant first impression.
Immigration and baggage collection are relatively fast, which is especially important after a long flight. The staff is friendly and ready to help if you have any questions.
Inside the airport there are many shops and cafes where you can buy local souvenirs or have a snack before departure. Prices are, of course, a little higher than in regular stores outside the airport, but this is normal for such a place.
One of the nuances is that sometimes there may be flight delays, but this is rather due to the weather conditions typical for the region.
Overall, Punta Cana Airport makes a pleasant impression and is suitable for starting or completing a trip to this beautiful part of the world.
An excellent airport, built in the style of a large bungalow. At the same time, it is modern and convenient. The staff is quite friendly, a few learned common words in Spanish will make you a welcome guest.
And there are very good duty free shops at the airport, you don't have to pack your bags at local stores, you can buy everything here.
Not too big, but a good airport in the Dominican Republic. Everything is here - duty free, cafes, and even a mini hotel. I have been here several times, the first time in my opinion in 2013. Since that time, the airport has greatly increased - in 2013 there was a very small airport, almost a small building under a thatched roof, and now we are usually all used to seeing the airport.

Have a good night, the feeling of a vacation from the first seconds and the heat
Have a nice vacation, everyone
A very cool airport, it looks like a hut, with a palm roof, arriving tourists are greeted by musicians, the atmosphere of relaxation is felt immediately upon arrival, gray everyday life is forgotten, you get to a tropical paradise right from the plane!!!
For those who are leaving. I was looking for information myself, do I need to arrive at the airport in advance? It is necessary!!! Everything is fine with registration. But passing through passport control is a huge queue. Lay down an hour so as not to jump up and break through without a queue. There are a lot of people who are late))).
A cool airport, without external walls, with thatched roofs, colorful. A good dutik is the last one in terms of location before boarding, we compared the prices with buying in a store in the village: the same, but we were told that all dutik are expensive there. Many thanks (gracias) to the employee at the check-in of the flight to Moscow on 09.12.2018 ZF778, they asked for a standard seat in broken English and provided it nearby, flew with leg comfort :-) the neighbors on the plane asked if we paid extra for them)))))
The waiting rooms are comfortable and spacious. The building is built as a "beach bungalow" and the walls are well ventilated. There are many shops - one big duty free, several with local souvenirs and mini shops for all occasions (there is no pharmacy). The food is only fast food, but decent (wendys, Pizza Hut, Cinnabon, Nathan's).
A very colorful Dominican airport. Friendly staff. Prices for food and drinks are the same as at many airports. It is quite spacious. Free Wi-Fi is a great DutyFree.
It looks like a hut from the outside, but it's more of a local flavor. Buses take you to the plane. Otherwise, everything is cozy, comfortable, clean and convenient. They work quickly and harmoniously, take care of people with disabilities. I have a pleasant impression, they take away one point for the small size of duty free stores and the not quite adequate price of products in them.
The airport is very hidden both from the outside and inside!Customs and inspection work very quickly.Very spacious.Everything is available in duty free and cheaper than in the markets or in the stores that our Russians keep.
A small and cozy airport, everything you need is there: a place to relax and charge phones, there is a food court, several shops. The bathrooms are clean enough.
In the Dominican duty free, prices are expensive, in the American one you can find American goods cheaper.
It's hot, there are no air conditioners in the waiting rooms, only fans. You can eat on a budget, there was no water in the toilet. Here was a surprise - I lathered my hands, but I couldn't wash them off.
"+"The airport is original, with a roof of palm leaves from the plane directly to the airport on foot 50 meters and went in. Outwardly beautiful.
"-" the toilets are very dirty. The food court is also poorly maintained. Foreigners don't clean up after themselves - the level of culture is low, but the staff has to fuss too. By the way, the Russians behaved more cleanly.
They announce everything in Spanish and very quickly. Despite the fact that the airport is noisy due to the lack of walls and closely spaced aircraft with turbines plugged in, the Russians can't make out anything when something is announced
that the airport is very expensive to maintain. Saying that the roof needs to be rebuilt once a year. It's very expensive. Perhaps that's why the prices at the airport are very high. The notorious Duty free is more expensive than in Russia, the goods in the shops are many times more expensive
It was comfortable to wait for the plane, there were enough seats, fast food would not let you die of hunger. In dutifrey, everything you need was found and purchased at a normal rate. It is not hot in the airport premises, because there are practically no walls))).
A beautiful unique airport with a leafy expensive roof. Some of the rooms are without air conditioning, they work faster than Russian and Belarusian border guards and customs officers.
Very interesting airport)) made of straw, the local people are greeted with live music, a necklace of fresh orchid flowers is put on their neck, just like in Thailand! The airplane itself is not big! It's very stuffy.

I was in October, I don't know how it is at other times of the year, but it was hard without air conditioning. We took turns going to the shops, that's where it blows to the fullest. This is while you check in your luggage and in the waiting room.During the inspection, the premises are already closed, there is air conditioning.
Huge fans are good, of course, but there are still not enough air-conditioned rooms for waiting. A large Duty Free with goods that I have not seen elsewhere. You can have a cheap snack
It is stuffy, because the waiting area is located on the street under the roof, not an enclosed room with air conditioning, as we would like. Prices in the waiting area are $ 3 per 0.5 l bottle of water. Among the advantages are waiting places, sedentary, in the right amount).

The airport is very comfortable. We left early in the morning, we were glad that we could have a snack in a cafe, tasty and not expensive.
With a large crowd of people in the waiting areas, it becomes quite stuffy and the split systems cannot cope. Prices in the due free are much higher than at other airports, if we consider Domodedovo in Moscow and Antalya airport in Turkey as an example.
Clean and well maintained. But it's very hot! Condos are only in the duty free zone and customs control on departure. There are no condos in the arrival area, but there are 100,500 checks and queues. After receiving your luggage, be ready for another check.
It's a good airport. The color of the design is given by the use of palm leaves as a roofing material.
Despite the frightening length of the queue for employees, the passage went very quickly.
Dutifrey was struck by alcohol samples. All local alcohol is poured and persistently offered to try.
WiFi is everywhere at the airport, but it is not designed for such a number of users.
There is no Irish bar.
This is the Dominican Republic)))))), thatched roofs, it's hot.......... but it's also unrealistically cool, I'm not talking about the airport, but about rest!)) And the port scares at first, amuses ... smiles)))

The hall is huge, there is a separate reception with children under 12 years old, it is very convenient, I have never seen this anywhere, there is no need to stand in a huge queue!
I will say that I liked everything so much that I would have stayed there! Now I'm learning Spanish to understand Dominicans!Duty free is so generally a bomb!I'll be back!Hola to all!!!)))Smacks! Dominicana wait for me!
The airport is small, with a thatched roof. A big disadvantage is that it takes a very long time to pass passport control, one or two customs officers are sitting, and even they are not in a hurry... Because of this, they pick up from the hotel earlier by 3-4 hours before departure, and it takes 20 minutes to get to the airport.
A large Duty free with air conditioning, friendly staff, however, there is no air conditioning in the hall where you are directly waiting for boarding the plane, so if you do not fly early in the morning, it is hot and humid
The airport is small and densely populated. In very hot weather in the Dominican Republic, there are very few air-conditioned rooms, only fans. Often, there is no place to sit while waiting for a flight, there is not enough space, there are many flights.
The airport is getting better every year. It would also be lazy employees of the coffee shop who would open earlier than 9, they would not have a price

Upon arrival, you go through the monkey house... Scary masks and voodoo dolls are suspended from the ceiling. It's creepy.
At the moment, the airport does not accept aircraft, but a year ago it provided us with excellent rest conditions as we flew with a transfer through this air route!!!😀
An extremely unusual airport with a ceiling made of leaves. There are enough places to land, but the prices for food are high. A slice of pizza with a drink of 1000 rubles
