The checkpoint itself is modern and well equipped. There are two duty free on our territory, on Polish territory you can buy a green card (car insurance), get tax free, an exchanger with a good exchange rate.
but!!!! Queues can be simply gigantic. Standing 5-7 hours to cross two borders is more the norm than the exception, but there are also happy cases when both borders can be crossed in less than an hour, but this is more the exception than the norm.

There is a magnificent highway from Kaliningrad to the border without settlements.The checkpoint itself is modern and convenient.There are many lanes for cars, there are toilets, Duty Free.On the Polish side, you can have a snack, drink coffee, get Tax Free. Currency exchange (a completely acceptable exchange rate, not like at Gdansk airport).I recommend

The point itself is large, there are a lot of built-in passes-but they work a little.Poles keep mostly 3-4 hours on trips to Poland.For the last 2 years, Russians have been at a maximum of 30 minutes. But the Poles crossed it 1 time in 2 years - in an hour.And usually 3.5 hours.There are queues for a couple of hours in Russia on working days in the evening.

This is the policy of the Polish authorities and the attitude towards Russians. And in vain - ordinary Poles are wonderful people. We tolerate this piggishness only for their sake.
