It is not possible to contact the phone number of the consular department. Constantly short beeps. Moreover, you click on the dialer, i.e. the dial goes on endlessly and the result is the same. It seems that the tube is just lying on the side.
My husband submitted an application by e-mail from September 2022, updated in October of the same year, but so far there has been no response. What's most interesting is that if you pay 700 rubles through a travel agency, everything will be open in 2 weeks, and if you want to, you can skip the appointment. I would like to know if all the doors are open to travel agents, most likely they pay some kind of%, well, let's do it in reasonable amounts and we will pay a consular additional fee, but you answer the phone, let people through for consultations and in the end I would like to ask: Well, do not make a shortage of visa openings.

Try to queue for a visa 2-3 months before the start of the trip, as almost always all dates are busy, so that there are no problems and nerves. There is no place to park the car, everything is crammed into junk. There is no toilet either. The queue is outside in the open air and in the rain and snow.
