I decided to come here and was pleasantly surprised. Good service, reasonable prices and most importantly, the quality of the wine corresponds to what the seller said.
I took semisweet and chacha, I did not regret it..
I was surprised by the bad reviews below, perhaps the wrong institution.. In any case, I recommend you to visit, you will not regret it.
I absolutely agree with the previous review. Just walk around this place. On
September 13, 2022, we went to this store with a friend. Behind the counter is a sweet blonde girl, told-showed-advised.. I want to emphasize that we have chosen ONE of the most expensive wines in this store. "Cutol." Semi-dry white. According to the saleswoman, this is the best they have, "divine nectar, hand-picked, small private winery.." and blah blah blah.... My friend and I "fell for it"…. Indeed, among their entire assortment, the most expensive wine is about 900 rubles. By the standards of Abkhazia, there really should be "nectar of the gods" there.
The wine was on the shelves (where the entire assortment was along the wall) and on the shelf at the counter.
They gave us what was on the shelf at the counter. Explaining that the same wine, just a new batch, a new label, all the bottles on the shelf did not fit. We did not attach importance to this, since there is a lot of wine in the store and it costs everywhere.
In reality, it wasn't wine.
It was a swill: something in between grandma's "mushroom" (do you remember such a drink in cans our grandmothers grew?), vinegar and some kind of acidic water.
It's just "G".
It wasn't just bad wine. It wasn'T wine.
Basically.
The product of fermentation of some kind of acidic slurry. 😠😩
The next day we took the bottle and went to the store to hand it over and get an explanation.
Have arrived.
There is no blonde girl in the store.
And - strangely - these bottles are not at the counter either.
Instead of a girl, there is a young Abkhazian. First, the traditional Abkhazian "hospitality" from the series "Wah-wah-wah! How glad I am, our store is the best store with the best wines," etc. etc
. We - CALMLY (!) - absolutely without any nerves, explained the situation, asked where yesterday's girl was the seller, and politely asked for a refund for wine or exchange for another, equivalent, explaining that the taste qualities the wines described on the label DO NOT CORRESPOND TO the contents of the bottle AT ALL. And that maybe it was stored incorrectly and the wine just went bad and just return the money or give a similar bottle. Everything is polite and calm.
WHAT STARTED HERE!😱 - the seller was replaced : the true face of "Abkhazian hospitality" was fully revealed!🤬 We heard a lot of bleak things about ourselves, to the point that 😆 - "there was no sales girl yesterday")))))))) and in general, "this wine wasn't standing here" and in general, like, "get out."
The seller brought some kind of bowl and poured himself out of a bottle (a la demonstrative tasting)- HE WRINKLED his NOSE, but said that this is "the best wine in Abkhazia" and that we "don't understand anything about wine at all" and the like.
Moreover, all this is done in raised tones, with claims, with aggression and the like. He was already twisted with anger. The customers who were in the store at that moment, seeing such an ugly scene, left the store.
To be honest, my friend and I did not expect such outright rudeness, obvious lies about the "super" wine and rudeness in response to the usual request to refund money for a low-quality product or simply exchange a bottle.
They left a bottle of this stuff and cursed their address, left the store.
There was a very unpleasant "sediment and aftertaste"
Both from the wine and from the seller.
Photos of a bottle of wine are attached to the review.
Resume:
There are other wine shops in New Athos, where sellers are customer-oriented, polite and value the reputation of their store and products.
And there are certainly more worthy wines than what is poured into a bottle under the label "Cutol. Jonah Sakania."
I don't recommend coming in here at all! The seller, with an intelligent look, advised a good dry red wine for a long time. I swore to everyone that the wine was excellent and I definitely would not regret it. The cost is 600 rubles, I do not remember the manufacturer. As a result, the wine turned out to be, to put it mildly ...aries is an unborn braga. The next day, I took the bottle back with my best wishes... I didn't even hear a "sorry". Service in Abkhazian) I recommend dry wines from "Wine and Water of Abkhazia" from a more expensive line and you will not regret it.
