It is located next to the Temple of Vesta in the Roman Forum. A rectangular atrium has been preserved from the house, which was previously framed by two-story porticos on columns. There were statues of the high priestesses of Vesta in the porticos, some of them have survived to the present day. During the latest excavations, the remains of the temple of Vesta were found, along with the Vestal home. This house is located at the foot of the Palatine, near the Forum. Nothing distinguishes it from an ordinary Roman house. Previously, the house was intended for the great pontiff - a public house; Augustus, after he himself became the great pontiff in 12 BC, presented this house to the Vestals.
