Visiting the sights of Milano often starts with this historic center of Castel Sforzesco. An interesting castle, which he ordered to be built in the 15th century. Francesco Sforza, a successful and wealthy mercenary warrior, condottiero. There is a beautiful portrait of this founder of the Sforza dynasty of rulers, but, unfortunately, not here, but in the Brera Museum, but I will still capture this image. Just look at these expressive salt-colored facial features, even a white glance at the portrait shows what an outstanding and strong character in the story was Condottiere Sforza.
Earlier, in the same place where Francesco's soldier of fortune laid his stronghold, there was already a castle that belonged to the ancient Milanese Visconti family, no match for the upstarts of Sforza. This fortification was literally demolished by freedom-loving townspeople in the 14th century. But the holy place is never empty, a new dynasty of rulers and a new castle appeared, which was actively rebuilt. The great Leonardo applied his genius abilities to architecture and fort fixation here, the castle became almost impregnable. In the New Napoleonic era, the castle was again wanted to be demolished, but, fortunately, it worked out. Now there is a rare library and wonderful museum exhibitions.
The museum was robbed during an exhibition not so long ago. In its own way, it is also a high assessment :)
Russians are also interested in the castle because it is not much older than the Moscow Kremlin, you can clearly imagine what the Moscow princes took as a model for their order, which architects from the North could have called at the end of the 15th century. And Milan, along with the castle, was taken by Suvorov during his campaign.
A very beautiful place in Milan, there are a lot of athletes in the morning, tourists in the afternoon, and emigrants in the evening. It's better to finish exploring the park before dark. Cats used to sit in the loopholes of the castle until they were sealed with nets.
A must-visit in Milan.

The Sforza Castle is a wonderful place reminiscent of the Moscow Kremlin. There is a beautiful courtyard inside. There are many interesting things related to Italian culture in museums. I always try to pass through it on my way to Sempione Park.
An amazingly beautiful place near the center of Milan. There is an amusement park for children and adults on site.

It's fun to see the red "Kremlin" wall with the characteristic dovetail teeth section. There are no questions or doubts about where the construction engineers of the Moscow Kremlin came from. Northern Italy is full of similar fortresses.
Although there is nothing special in this castle, it is advisable to visit.
Looking at the towers and battlements of the Sforza fortress wall, you immediately understand who built the Kremlin. The territory is large. The scale was also loved in Italy. Sforza saw Leonardo da Vinci, Suvorov, Napoleon and millions of other tourists). Admission is free. Only museum visits are paid. It was bad with benches, I had to sit on the curb, on the grass, or in museums inside.
It is necessary to go here. The castle is not only beautiful from the outside, a gorgeous architectural monument, but also a lot of interesting things inside. A large art gallery, a wonderful collection of tools. You can buy a tourist card and explore it slowly, in several visits.
The residence of the dukes of Milan of the Sforza dynasty, which was built in the XIV century.
Looking at this building, you realize that people's lives in Italy have not always been serene. It's just that they built such walls and hid behind them...
A great museum full of interesting expansions. Everything is located inside the castle itself, i.e. when you look at the exposition, you go through about half, and in the second half there is a library and small museums, such as the unfinished work of Michelangelo. And all this for a purely symbolic ticket of 5 euros. There is a spacious park right behind the castle.
There are many museums inside, the most important museum is the castle itself. The height of the walls is amazing! It is clear that it is very difficult to take such a fortress without powder guns
It doesn't look like a remarkable fortress, but when you get inside, the scale and beauty are simply stunning. By the way, you can charge your phone here, use Wi-Fi and a free toilet.
It is very important to know that the Sforza Castle is the older brother of the Moscow Kremlin. Rafael Fiorovanti - led the reconstruction of the Sforza, and then designed and built the Kremlin in Moscow.
