We bought an excursion "Vienna Forest", which was conducted by Alexander. To be honest, I have visited many countries and on various excursions, from individual to free student tours, but I have not met with more hack work and negligence. For 130 euros for two, which, you will agree, at the current exchange rate of the ruble is not such a penny, you will receive transfer services, they will not tell you anything on the way, as if the minibus is going, honestly! Just lucky from point A to point B, no stories, short stories, we just arrived at the Lichtenstein castle, took a picture, the driver, who for some reason was mistakenly called a guide (because, sorry, this is not a guide, but just a driver), smoked and said from the series "well, here's the castle, there is and prettier" and drove on to the underground lake. We boarded a boat for an excursion in English, our guide sits and looks into the distance at length, we had to listen to an English-speaking guide. Then quickly to the monastery, where there is also NO excursion, and then to Baden, where again there is not a word about the casino or the city itself! We stood in the park, took a look, it's time to know the honor. There is no declared Habsburg house (the brochure indicates that it was notorious for something. What, we never found out). All the way, we tried to somehow wake up our guide, at least to find out something. In vain. I can conduct the same tour, and if you give me 2 hours to read about the route, then the tour will be more interesting at times than what Alexander conducted for us. I'm not a fan of speaking unflatteringly about people, but I just have to share so that you don't waste your money. Outright hack work, dislike of his work, despite the fact that Alexander moved to Vienna from Belarus and, logically, it was his interest, including in the culture of the country, that should have pushed him to leave his homeland and become a guide in the Austrian capital. The climax was the situation when we were driving away from the monastery of the Holy Cross. There is a sundial next to the monastery, we were interested in how time is calculated, to which the guide answered us wearily and eagerly opening the doors of the Mercedes minibus: I don't know! Let's go already!
I am sincerely sorry for the money spent on the tour, the time spent and the fact that the Viennese Forest has not revealed its beautiful side to us. I really hope that Alexander will find a job he likes and will not spoil the impression of such a beautiful city as Vienna.
Now when my husband and I meet an outright hack, we nominally call her "Alexander from 7travel", that's it.
