I was on an excursion with Varadero. A nice little island, there is a bar with a cool bartender who prepares a Pinya Colada in coconut. The beach is awesome, with a shoal. But if you compare with the beaches in Varadero, then Cayo has a lot of algae on the shallows, it's not very pleasant to walk on them. The overall impressions of the island are positive, I recommend you to visit.
A great island to diversify your trip. We rented a boat for $ 800, divided into 6 people. This included unlimited alcohol and the purchase of lobsters from fishermen, they were cooked right on the deck, and not given away like everywhere else. Everything is delicious. We went to this island for 3-4 hours. The sand is white, the ocean is cloudy like milk, but if you swim further away you can see the aquatic world. Lots of interesting animals. There is a bar, it also serves food and drinks, for free. Tc this price includes a ticket to this island. I recommend it!
Awesome tour! On the island, you need to eat quickly and go deeper, there is untouched nature, many animals and birds! We saw iguanas, many hutias, hermit crabs, woodpeckers, geckos. 2 hours was not enough (( dolphins are great, but swimming with fish that are not there for an hour - I did not like it.
