A great hotel. I rested here in February 2024.
The rooms are warm, clean, have digital TV and Wi-Fi, refrigerator, bathroom.
There is a heated swimming pool on site, where you can swim even in winter.
The playground is small, a pond with fish, plenty of space for recreation and Parking for a personal car.
The dining room has been renovated in the hotel. Very beautiful and clean. During the off—season, meals were not included, but in the summer - three meals a day.
The hotel is located on the 1st line. The sea is across the street, the park is next door. All the sights of the city are within walking distance.
I am very happy! We will definitely come for a summer vacation with the whole family!

The hotel is not bad, the renovation is fresh, but for some reason there is no mirror in the room and the problem is to dry things....
The food was very annoying.. Coffee for an additional fee. A fee, no choice at all, savings on the part of management on everything. Dessert on kefir, it is impossible to eat very hard.... Cutlets and everything related to meat were falling apart, only pork was made of meat, and then my neighbor got only 1 piece of goulash and then dry, the rest was gravy. We had a large group, when we skipped lunch, and it was paid for, they added soup to us, although they could offer an additional one. A cutlet, at least for men. It was annoying when the wife of a sick man was not allowed to take dinner into the room, even into her dishes, and then they checked the bags..... Somehow it was low!!!! Oranges were cut without skins, I wonder how it was all prepared, remains a mystery....

I traveled to Abkhazia for the first time. The choice for this particular hotel was not accidental: it attracted the historical significance and geographical location. This hotel is located near the sea, it can be seen from any window of the hotel, which faces the outside. There is a road in front of the sea, but this does not interfere with rest. Even when choosing, I was attracted by three meals a day, although many hotels and boarding houses of New Athos (that's where I was) offer accommodation without meals. This is not critical, because there are many small cafes around where you can eat and drink on a budget. And there are also shops where you can buy something for a snack. In general, I realized one thing: you will not die of hunger in Abkhazia) They cooked delicious, homemade food at the hotel, not a buffet, but they gave an additive to everyone. The hotel staff is very helpful, and the administrator Anna takes care that the vacationers are comfortable. The only negative is the repair, which, although it caused minor inconveniences (lights, Internet, etc. were turned off), did not interfere with a good rest. What is noteworthy: there are many wonderful historical and natural places near the hotel, which tourists from other regions of Abkhazia are happy to visit: The New Athos Monastery, Stalin's dacha, a waterfall, a hydrogen sulfide spring, a park, various shrines - the list can be very long. And I also want to draw your attention: I always call it a hotel, not a hotel, because it is not a modern building made of glass and concrete, but a small two-story structure (elongated in length) that is attached to a fortress wall erected in the Middle Ages, that is, a very authentic place.

We had a rest in July . I liked everything very much. The location of the hotel is excellent. The food was delicious . There is a swimming pool. Everything was in the room , the room was comfortable . Good staff. Everything is within walking distance, the sea is across the street.

We went three times. The first year - the food was terrible! I had to finish eating in cafes and canteens, because what I was fed was impossible to eat.
Now they have built a dining room in the courtyard, spacious. New chef, menu... It's like in Rio de Janeiro and you're wearing white pants.
I like the rooms on the first floor the most - real castle halls. It's a pity that without air conditioning, but they are cheaper.
I had a tradition - on the first day of arrival, I ordered the film "A60lit-66" on the big screen at the reception. If we go again, I will continue the tradition.
But last year, the price tag soared very much, so we went on vacation to Gudauta (I didn't like it).

We had a rest in late May and early June 2023. I really liked the hotel. It is located right on the coast. The rooms are clean, but repairs are underway. The staff is polite. There was a TV in the room, it worked from the Internet, but it was not always turned on - it was not critical. There is wi-fi, it takes well. I liked the kitchen - as in Soviet times, what is cooked is what you eat, but everything is delicious. The portions are large. However, there were vacationers who did not like the food. There are many attractions nearby and there is a park.

I put only two stars, it all started with the fact that we needed a hotel with a history and a beautiful entourage, we found this one, in the photo in the rooms there are old brick masonry, furniture, a samovar, everything is spectacular, we write off, we clarify whether this room is booked for us, we send a picture, they answer that yes, the old room is booked, they send in response, a photo of the room. We arrive, we are settled ..... They settle us in some kind of outrage, instead of an old room with masonry, an incomprehensible room with bluish wallpaper, a leaky sofa and furniture from the late 90s, to our perplexity they tell us it's all the same thing that you don't like, we ask where the room that we were promised is, to which we hear -but this one is better, there is a new renovation. As a result, the hostess of the hotel was called, it turned out that our room was occupied and would be free only after three days, the price for this ugly room was the same, the mood was spoiled. They offered a room with antique masonry, but with a single bed and the same area, without a balcony and with a view of the garbage dump... They refused such luxury and decided to stay in a room with bluish wallpaper. Of the advantages, the windows overlooked the courtyard with a view of the New Athos monastery, it was quiet enough, you couldn't hear the noise of the roads. From the menu, three-course meals, the usual canteen food that could be better, the staff in the dining room is very friendly and nice.

The location is good. The place is suitable for a budget tourist. The food is like in the dining room. The rooms are damp, the ones with bluish wallpaper) The noise from the road is wild, but the view is beautiful. You can have a view of the construction site / garbage dump for it to be quiet😁 the choice is yours. The pool cannot be built for 3 years, but they promise annually)) Everything is very nice and good-natured in Abkhazian. In order not to get upset, you do not need to have a lot of hopes, this is not Turkey and not even the same Abkhazia 5* all inclusive, which is also the case. So it's very good, but there are disadvantages described above.

As of June 2022, a swimming pool is being built in the hotel, in general, a large renovation is underway and many rooms are being renovated. The dining room on the former dance floor is small. When we rested, there seemed to be enough places for everyone. The food is good: a lot and delicious. There is not much variety, but the dishes are not repeated during the week. The place is atmospheric, the staff is friendly. The sea is right across the road. You can walk behind the building through a small park via an underground passage to the beaches on the east side (in the direction of the White Beach). Immediately at the exit there is a beautiful park with the landmark Swan Lake. The monastery and the waterfall are a pleasant walk away. The only inconvenience is that the Sukhumi highway passes right under the windows, along which the horsemen like to drive at night with a breeze and loud exhaust.

The place is soulful, the view from the balcony to the mountain and the domes of the monastery is just a fairy tale. Movies on the big screen in the evening, on the ground floor also inspired. And here's the food.... Of course you can eat, but I was not impressed. If the owners of the sanatorium read reviews, think about nutrition. The elements of the buffet are tea, sugar and bread. In the morning, coffee from a bag.

We had a rest in July 2022. We were satisfied. The location is great! The park is nearby (very beautiful), shops, mini markets, cafes. The view from the window is fire! The rooms are cleaned daily, the staff is helpful. The food is delicious, the portions are impressive. In the evening, cartoons are shown on the projector.

We rested at the hotel in July 2021. A good Seymain hotel, ideal for a family holiday. It is located right on the seashore. Spacious rooms with air conditioning. Delicious cuisine with very large portions (we asked the chefs to put it on children's plates, because the choice is large, but they put it from the heart).
It would be great if they made sun beds for guests on the beach at the hotel.

And the hotel itself is unique in its kind with interesting architecture. The highway got in the way a little bit, but then I got used to it. Miracles begin in the rooms, the rooms are the former cells of the monks. But some have already experienced repairs and are very good. If your Windows overlook the courtyard, you will see beautiful bushes, a garbage dump and the construction of a future swimming pool. There is excellent audibility in the corridor, so you will not miss any events at the hotel.
Food is a separate song) It's not even the Soviet Union, it's a live queue where portions from the menu are handed to you. There is only porridge to choose from in the morning.
But in general, there are wonderful, warm memories.

I couldn't say anything bad for the hotel itself.The girls at the reception are trying 200%.But the NOISE is wild from the road, we slept with the windows closed, it's on the sea, which is across the street.The beaches are wide, some are equipped, some are not.To whom as to taste.Now about the terrible disadvantages.There's nowhere to wash your hands in the dining room!!!From the word "completely".Unsanitary conditions, with one rag all the tables after the end of the meal, since there are few tables, there is nowhere to sit, during which no one cleans up after the visitors.Almost everyone has rotavirus.The rooms that are in the courtyard are quieter there, but there is an endless construction.For very unassuming travelers.For sightseeing, no more than 2-3 days, with antibacterial wipes.

Someone may not like the Historical hotel Abkhazia, and many people come here from year to year. Excellent staff, cleanliness and attention to detail. I don't know how it is on the ground floor, they say it's a bit damp, but on the second floor it was very comfortable. Three meals a day, delicious food, you can even ask for an additive))) All the sights of New Athos are within walking distance from the Hotel, you will not be bored even on rainy days.

Hello everyone, this year we rested in August in Abkhazia, took a trip to a hotel for 11 days, a big plus is that the sea is very close to cross the road and here's the sea for you.the power was on, I can say the power for 3 next time we would have taken a ticket without power. the staff is kind and polite. The room had air conditioning, a large bed, cleaning was carried out every day, stylish linen was changed every other day - the TV did not show channels. The name sanatorium Abkhazia does not justify itself. It seems to me that this is a hotel. The room I lived in is not worth the money. It's a little dirty, the furniture is broken. The view from the window to the sea is wonderful! The receptionist is friendly and pleasant. We washed the floor ourselves, we found a mop in the hallway, there is also a washing machine and dryers (I don't know if they can be used for free).
