A good hotel, a normal pool inside, cocktails are made well in the bar. The breakfast portions are huge. Wi-Fi is working and all that. In general, I left only pleasant impressions. The coffee at the hotel is divine. Trying to buy it in local supermarkets was not successful, they brought some kind of bullshit back. Ordinary grains.
The hotel will offer guided tours. They cost $100 - $ 150 per person. They're worth it. It takes at least an hour to walk from this hotel to the beach, and in February it is under 30 degrees sun. Apply the most resistant sunscreen, otherwise there is a shuttle service to the beach from the hotel 2 times a day (at an inconvenient time and not very large, with an appointment in advance). There is a bus stop in 15 minutes that goes to the beach, every 5 minutes, very often, it is impossible to miss. there is a huge supermarket 20 minutes away, everything can be found on maps. Take an adapter to an American outlet with you, no one at the hotel will give you an adapter, but it is very difficult to explain that this is very difficult.
Explore the city map, the hotel is 15 minutes from the border with non-resort areas. Don't go the wrong way)
I liked the hotel, the location is very good, but for those who are interested in the city itself and do not bother to go to the beach by bus. In the evening, returning from the beach after 5-6 pm, you can get into traffic. Accordingly, you should either return earlier and, for example, take a walk around the city, or return later. In the hotelier's area, it becomes very active in the evening, parties begin, etc. Buses R1 and R2, running between the city and the hotelier's area, work around the clock. The fare is 12 pesos.
Prices are much lower in the city than in the hotelier's area, this also applies to shops and cafes. Therefore, if you want to drink a beer on the beach, it will be cheaper to buy it in the city and buy a foam box for ice, and then you can not leave the beach at all, everyone does that there.
The hotel is located next to the ADO bus station, which is of course very convenient for independent travel.
The room was nicely decorated, clean, and the bathroom was also in good condition. The cleaning was daily, everything was clear.
On the downside, our room did not have a refrigerator or a balcony. They found out about the refrigerator at the reception, maybe they have at least some kind of common one, but no. It hardly bothered us, since we only spent the night at the hotel, the only thing was, we bought a lot of fruits (mangoes, pineapples, tangerines, they are cheap and delicious there), we would like a refrigerator for them, but we ate them very quickly, nothing had time to spoil.
There was also a coffee maker in the room and tea bags were attached, we tried it once, it turned out to be a very strange coffee, as if Americano was diluted with two more cups of water, in general we did not use it.
There was a safe in the room, we didn't use it.
There was a cafe on the ground floor, there were quite a lot of people eating, but perhaps those who had it included could also be ordered for a fee. The territory of the hotel is clean, everything is very cozy. There is a swimming pool.
A great vacation, it's a pity that not all Russians can afford it, I recommend: visit the Mayan pyramids, beautiful beaches with sand soft and white as powder. The weather is super all year round....
