Clean, cozy, with thoughtful logistics and friendly staff. By the standards of large megacities, it is small, with a standard set in duty-free shops and inflated prices for all locally produced goods.
A cool, modern airport. The terminal has everything you need. You can rent a car without leaving the building cafes, snacks, all at reasonable prices. It is very convenient that there is a subway, right at the exit from the terminal, on the left.
It's not a big airport, but it's a convenient one. There are few people, there is a place to sit. The metro station is 50 meters from the exit. 25 minutes by metro to the center of Sofia. All control procedures are lightning fast. 13 minutes after entering the airport, we were already in the boarding area. Well done, the feeling is that not Bulgarians but Germans are working!!! Of the minuses, only the non-sane currency exchange rate of 1.6 to the euro (in the city of 1.98) and a huge commission for withdrawing money from banks of 20%.
Convenient location near the metro station. There is everything you need for a comfortable flight waiting. Good duty-free shops, cafes and vending machines with drinks, clean toilets.
The airport is not big, but it is very functional. All services worked quickly, I passed registration, security and the green corridor in 20 minutes!! The staff is discreet and polite. I liked.
The terminal is fully operational only from 8-30. Until then, there is no place to change the currency, most car rental offices are closed. It is impossible to put things in the storage room, in principle, according to safety rules.
