The museum in Ajman left a very pleasant impression, despite its simplicity. In fact, this is an ancient fort, which in itself is a historical monument. There are no modern bells and whistles here – everything is very authentic and oriental.
Inside there are exhibits related to the history of the emirate, but all inscriptions and explanations are only in Arabic. For Russian-speaking tourists, this is, of course, a small disadvantage, but even without detailed descriptions, you can feel the local flavor.
The architecture of the building itself is particularly impressive – typical for the region, with its characteristic narrow windows and thick walls. The halls feature household items, weapons, and traditional outfits. All this creates a special atmosphere of the past.
Despite the lack of interactive elements and multimedia presentations, the museum is definitely worth a visit to experience authentic Arab culture. This is a place where you can truly feel the spirit of the East, see how people lived in these parts before.
I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the local atmosphere and see the traditional Arab fort. This is not a modern technological museum, but a real time machine in an ancient castle!
I really liked the museum! Admission is 5 dirhams. There are authentic cafes nearby, the halls are diverse, there is almost interactive everywhere, the rooms are cool. The inscriptions are duplicated in English. You can take authentic photos in beautiful Arabic interiors.
