The museum is nice and new. You can see exhibits from different eras and different spheres. It is mandatory to visit.
But there are also points worth working on.
1. It was not possible to take a tour, the guide said that it was necessary to make an appointment in advance, although he was absolutely free and when we left the museum he did not have any groups. Visiting the museum sometimes happens spontaneously and I would like to have people who can conduct a tour.
2. At the checkout, they said that we could visit 9 halls, as a result, we got into 4 in total, the rest are closed. There may be a mistake that there are 9 halls, and we were given incorrect information, but the fact that several halls were closed also spoiled the impression.
3. A woman "watching" is assigned to each hall, who makes sure that the exhibits are not touched, etc. So for the first time in the museum I saw such a thing that these employees gathered in the lobby near the halls and loudly discussed and laughed something, the feeling is created not by the museum but by the bazaar. In one of the halls, this woman was following us around, and that's OKAY, but she had YouTube or tiktok turned on on her phone and was happy to watch videos at high volume. This situation overshadowed the entire stay at this beautiful museum. I really want to study and view the exhibits carefully in absolute silence, since you have not provided a guide.
One of the advantages: a new, modern building, excellent repair. Interesting expositions.
On the downside: only 5 of the 9 halls were working, and many of the exhibits were under restoration.
The ticket price for Russian money is just fire, 200 rubles per visit.
It is a pity that the tour was not available on Sunday.
But the ticket was definitely worth the money.
I recommend this place
A very interesting museum, many historical and interesting sights of antiquity. I liked everything that is there. There is not only antiquity, but also the Second World War and Afghanistan. I recommend it!
