Akun in Issyk Kul was one of our favorite places, but this time the service and food was great disappointment unfortunately. We have been coming to this place for past 5 years, but this time we did not like at all this place. The only good thing is here beach, nothing much is left. The prices increased drastically.

Excellent territory, water park, no discos. The beach is sand. The kitchen is delicious but disorganized. Meals are served in two shifts, you come in the second shift and the first one is still sitting.

Very poor service, terrible disregard for the guests. Upon check-in, it turned out that the toilet was not working, so it was repaired seven times!!! hours later, after not just persistent requests, but already a conversation in raised tones! It is inconceivable to be unable to use the toilet for seven hours with a child! The food is bad, and the organization of the buffet is just a disgrace! Imagine a waiter takes out a plate (not a dish, not a tray) with pancakes and a couple of people who happen to be nearby just sweep these pancakes away for themselves before the plate and them touch the table. Instagram publishes only laudatory reviews, after my truthful one was blocked. It is clear that there is not much to choose in the Issyk-Kul season, but this is something beyond the limit

A gorgeous area with disgusting service, this is how you can characterize the Shark. It took a lot of effort to ruin such beautiful places with such a service. The first thing you will have to face upon arrival at the hotel is that the original passport is taken away from you until the end of the holiday. I have not encountered this in any place on the IC and other cities and countries. And it's not a fact that you can pick it up. For example, my friend was tried 2 times to hand over a passport that was not hers, and they searched for the right one for a long time. Towels are changed every 3 days only for bath towels, beach towels remain for the whole vacation, even if you come for 10 days.At least it's not hygienic at all. Bath towels will also be changed from the 3rd reminder at best. Also in the rooms, which cost 17 thousand and there is no more soap, shampoo. Toilet paper is also brought only after a few reminders. The cleaning will be carried out, but the cobwebs between the railings and on the windows will still hang. Be prepared for the fact that the studio will be half broken, the faucet will leak and the sink will be cracked.
Meals for 4 people. The meat is tough, the soups are weird.
The site also does not always have up-to-date information. For example, Bonjour Cafe, which is indicated there with European cuisine, is not there, but there are 2 small ones near the water park and the pool, but half of the menu does not happen.
The rest was saved only by nature and the territory)

Food review at the Akun Issyk-kul Hotel July 2022.
I want to write right away that if you want a vacation at the level of Turkey, then you should not rest in Kyrgyzstan at all, because you will not see such a service and variety in hotel catering here. You are unlikely to be able to eat a tummy and add a couple of extra pounds on a hotel meal. If you want cakes with different colored marmalades on the tables and this is called diversity, then feel free to leave this page because there will be no such abundance in the diet. Why did I start the review with this one? Yes, because 99% of tourists are first of all interested in food!!! It feels like people are sitting exclusively on black bread and water all year round, and on vacation they want to get rid of (sorry for the slang) goodies for the whole next year. No, my dears, you will not succeed in this regard. In this hotel, the usual food from the category of "cooking at home every day", you will not see delicious dishes here, but you will not stay hungry either. The food is selected so that children can eat, as the hotel is designed for family holidays. So, we stayed at this hotel for 14 days. I'll make a reservation right away that I'm just writing from memory. What did we eat:
Breakfast – a couple slices of cucumber, tomato, sausage, cheese. A bun, a small baked pie with potatoes (or pancakes with sour cream, or a pancake), a piece of butter., a shortbread cookie. Milk porridge (rice, semolina, millet, oatmeal), boiled egg (omelet, scrambled eggs)It was served and served by the waiters. There are breakfast cereals and milk on a separate table! Naturally, black tea,green tea,coffee (instant)If you think that this is not a varied breakfast and it is impossible to get enough of it, then throw in the comments your daily breakfast, how you eat at home. It will be very interesting!
Lunch-The first courses are all on meat broth and with a decent amount of meat (borscht with sour cream, pickle, pickle, pea, with meatballs, and there was also a delicious soup with small pasta)
Second courses-pilaf, cutlet with puree, baked chicken with potatoes, lagman, rice with chicken in cream sauce, azu with rice, spaghetti with stew. Here is my comment about pilaf and meat. Beef, apparently, could not be stewed by the cook, it was always tough, and pilaf, I think, is difficult to cook, like at home for 300 people.The chicken and cutlets were great!
The salad-there is not much choice here. As a rule-cucumbers, tomatoes! There are also Korean carrots, olivier and crab, beetroot with cheese. Tomatoes and onions are traditionally served with pilaf!
Soy sauce, spicy ketchup and apricot jam stood separately on the table in sockets!
Drinks for lunch include dried fruit compote, green and black tea.
Dinner-probably does not differ in variety from the second course for lunch. Watermelons and apricots were additionally served. There were glasses of kefir on a separate table.
There is always a unit with drinking water.
Upon arrival, you will be given a ticket at the reception. You give this ticket to the canteen administrator and a table is fixed for you for the entire duration of your stay. I think this is a very convenient moment!
We tourists are not pretentious in food, that's not why we go on vacation. We don't need extra pounds. We eat well enough at home and can eat simpler food for a couple of weeks. We have never been hungry.
The hotel is open seasonally, so it only recruits staff for the summer! You don't have to wait for some kind of super service! Most often, young people who want to earn extra money work as waiters. Don't expect any training from the canteen staff.It used to be that waiters were recruited exclusively with education .Unfortunately, this is not the case now. If there are any problems at the table (there is no sugar in the sugar bowl or there is not enough bread)- ask the waiter and he will settle everything quickly. If you sit and wait, no one will do anything. I also want to note the fact that next year the cook may change, respectively, the menu and the quality of the food too.
The hotel can be booked without meals. There are 3 cafes on site where you can eat other dishes. Or you can go to Bostyri to the fair or to Cholpon Ata to the bazaar, buy everything you need, load it into the refrigerator and eat in the room.
In general, there is always a choice!!!
But the territory of the hotel and the beautiful Issyk-Kul beach will not leave anyone indifferent. But about this in the following review of the Akun Issyk-Kul hotel

Don't go to Akun! Complete irresponsibility! We booked one room, checked into another upon arrival, and still had to "jump" back and forth for 5 days. The food is disgusting, tasteless, it is impossible to eat it, the portions are scanty, they did not finish. If you don't want to spoil your vacation, DON't come here!

It's terrible! I'll start with the numbers themselves. The camp is a red eaglet of the 90s + PASSPORTS are taken before eviction. What century do you live in??? For that money (if you convert it into rubles, it's 15 thousand a day), it's just a nightmare!! There is a lot of one star. The water pressure is minimal, the mattresses are like a piece of wood, the toilets in the room do not work. No toothpaste, no brushes. Only slippers
This is not the first vacation at sea, but I have not seen such a nightmare in any country! Prices are at the level of Moscow and St. Petersburg. There is no service from the word at all!!!!
The food is disgusting, as cheap as possible, in a word, it's grumpy. At breakfast, people do not know about the concept of "queues", brazenly jostle, almost fight for food, wildness! In the cafe, a maximum of 15% of all positions can be cooked and the wait is an hour
And the cherry on the cake: music plays here on weekends. They called the reception, the music was playing until 3 am! The problem has not been solved. Families with children, the elderly, and in general, there should be silence after 23! You are not a club.
Definitely not here for a vacation!! People, do not come, you need to respect yourself, but this is definitely not the case here. Bishkek is a hundred times more civilized

A nightmarish hotel, exactly the same service. The price includes three meals a day with local products, cases of poisoning once a week, as per the scenario.
Another fat minus, when settling in, they take away passports!!!! Picking it up at check-out is a whole problem. The service is built on complete indifference, you can contact the administrator for a week and not get a response. The furniture is old. The linen does not change at all until the moment of departure.

The most terrible hotel. I don't know how people can give five stars for all this. We rested for 4 days and 3 nights and more than once the maid did not come, the administration is inactive on requests. I put one star because you can't leave a review without stars.
