Overall, the hotel left a very pleasant impression. The score is between 4 and 5, I'll put 5, but I'll tell you what I didn't like.
Good:
The atmosphere in the hotel. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Without helpfulness, with dignity, but you feel at every step the desire to make your vacation pleasant and comfortable, as if you really came to visit someone.
The heated pool was very pleasant at the start of the season.
Comfortable pillow-top beds. There is a decent coffee machine in the room, there are decaf capsules. Lots of built-in wardrobes, good sound insulation (which is rare, even in decent hotels).
The hotel's guests deserve special mention. With the exception of a couple of pompous British Rednecks, everyone is very polite, smiling, and friendly. Almost everyone has books, even teenagers! I can't remember where I last saw this :)
The kitchen is beautiful. Breakfast at first glance seems a little meager, but you can order something separately in the kitchen and it warms up a lot, lots of fruits, coconuts. The Pavilion beach restaurant deserves special mention. A great dinner. Dishes, serving, service.
Special thanks for the lawn chairs.
Clean, well-groomed, safe, beautiful. You can order a taxi at the reception, someone wrote in the reviews that the price tag for a taxi "from the hotel" is multiplied by two and it is better to use applications, we did not see a difference in price.
Oman is a very safe country, the locals are friendly. At insta, we met a local uncle who organized a boat trip to the sea to watch fluorescent algae, and the next day invited us to his house for dinner, introduced us to his father :)
I didn't like it:
Very small rooms. It's impossible to fit into the bathroom together, but for some reason they crammed a bidet in there. There is no separate shower, the shower is in the bathtub. The amalgam is peeling off the mirrors, the bathroom has some smeared chips, and some of the mirror hangers are chipped. The panel with the toilet buttons is loose.
The balcony is sooo small. There are two chairs, but if you sit on one of them, you will practically rest your knees against the fence.
The dishes in the restaurant are chipped.
Everything outside the hotel can be described as "we don't give a damn what's going on there." You go beyond the playground (it's on the edge of the territory), and there's some garbage piled up right by the road, concrete blocks, remnants of metal structures, cut branches, broken glass, the road turns into something pit-like. That is, you understand that civilization has ended behind the checkpoint.
The first couple of days I was strongly triggered by these shortcomings, but then you somehow get involved in this slow, measured rhythm of the country and it becomes "no matter" the little things :))
Oman turned out to be the place where I really exhaled.
We arrived as a family, and from the very first minutes everything inside began to slow down.
Clean, calm, unobtrusive. Even at the airport, there is no chaos, no fuss. Just quiet and comfortable.
But the most important thing is the condition that lasted all the days.
The tranquility here is as if in the air. It's in the people, in the landscapes, in the rhythm of life. No one is in a hurry, everything flows smoothly and freely.
And you suddenly start breathing deeper yourself.
The people here are special. Friendly, respectful and dignified.
You don't feel like you're in the scenery or "at the resort."
You're just visiting a country that knows how to be real.
And also — beauty. Simple, clear.
Mountains, sea, palm trees, white houses. Nothing superfluous. And everything is perfectly in its place.
Our Al Bustan Palace Hotel, A Ritz Carlton Hotel, was exactly what an ideal vacation should be:
lots of space, quiet, friendly people, and the feeling that you were being taken care of — but very delicately, without interfering with being yourself.
Oman is for those who are tired of "too much".
I sincerely advise you. Perhaps you will find your own silence here too.
The chic, unique hotel is located on Al Bustan Avenue, next to the parliament. There is a private beach, 5 pools, including a children's pool. Children's playground. SPA area, followed by access to the women's beach with its own bar. There are many restaurants and bars, and there are several shops on the ground floor. And you can write about lobio separately, the architecture of the palace in general.
It's a very good hotel, the beach area is gorgeous, the entrance to the sea is good, the room service is good, the breakfasts are varied, the buffet restaurant has a large assortment
Very beautiful hotel, amazing pool, kitchen. Everything is very clean, the service is cool, unobtrusive. I lived on the ground floor, where you can dive into the pool directly from the room, from the balcony. It's amazing!
In general, the location, food, and beach are great.
An ingenious solution is to put sun beds on a well-groomed green lawn, and not on hot sand. There are many shady palm trees. There is a sauna and tennis courts. Detox water on the street, no need to carry it to the beach.
But considering that this is the Ritz, there were a lot of questions during the stay:
1. Upon check-in, there is no hint that the hotel is a BonVoy participant, respectively, no greeting, no upgrade (if it is required by status), no dedicated counter, no discounts on food and drinks, which are provided in all BonVoy hotels
2. There was so much dust in the closet in the room ..., one would think that they had not lived in it for six months…
3. Accordingly, the rooms are cleaned by Indian guys who do not want or cannot…
4. The beds were separate, I would say that they are more similar in size to the children's ones. Narrow and uncomfortable.
4. There is no set of cotton swabs and discs in the bathroom ..., they brought only 2 pieces on request, and they were no longer replenished.
5. No beach bag! After the appeal, when I shamed them that the deluxe room, that it was the Ritz, that I was a platinum membrane..., they brought it! But in the neighboring and new Jumeirah in each room.
6. Taxi at the hotel is 3-5 times more expensive! Download the local OTAXI app, and go ahead. There is only one feature in Oman. You will not be able to call a taxi using the application directly to the hotel door, you need to put a "pin" a little further from the entrance, about a 5-minute walk.., and then you will succeed. There is no problem going back, the taxi will drive up to the entrance.
7. Food and drink prices are not cheap
Would you come back? Yes!
I really liked the hotel. Good service, delicious food in restaurants, a beautiful swimming pool, many sports fields, even for badminton, which is rare. It is a pity that the beach by the sea is not equipped and you can enter it along a narrow strip
A beautiful place, a great place for a relaxing holiday. Not a bad kitchen. Friendly staff, there are Russian speakers. The purest sea (bay). The rooms are on the ground floor with their own trails and access directly to the pool.
The hotel is nice, but old.
Don't take number 214 - there's MOLD there.
The service in the restaurants and on the beach is very good.
The food is delicious, the choice is great.
Room service is 4.
The tiled floors were not completely clean.
But people are kind and friendly.
we are currently vacationing in this hotel, we are very disappointed. I'm reading reviews right now and I understand that they are custom-made. Number: dirt, dust everywhere, someone else's hair. breakfast: since I don't eat much, I can have breakfast in principle, but without pleasure. the freshly squeezed juice is good, the fruits are probably unripe and you can not put them out. Food : the Chinese restaurant sucks, I didn't like the word at ALL! The beach is dirty, bags and all kinds of garbage are floating, no one cleans the beach. Really, we could rake through and remove the bright garbage. Crows are just like in a cemetery in Russia. the only good thing is the sun beds on the lawn. The communal pool is normal! We're only on vacation for a day and a half. The croaking of crows just makes me laugh, it seems to me that I am beginning to understand what they are cawing about.

A luxury hotel converted from the Sultan's palace, one can only now imagine how everything was then..with a beautiful green beach. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection....for every taste. Restran really liked the Chinese, everything is very tasty. The staff is nimble, everything is clean and pretty everywhere...It's all gone.....My 98th country is Oman!!!! Very pleasant memories . Thank you Sultanate!!!
A wonderful hotel - the interiors, the territory, the kitchen - everything is at the highest level. The deposit system is somewhat annoying - when you have to put a certain amount on the room and only then you can buy some additional services on the territory of the hotel. Just write it down to the number and then pay for the eviction will not work. But, apparently, there were precedents.
Another obvious disadvantage is a lot of brazen crows. For some reason, their employees don't chase them much and they literally rob - you can't leave anything on the table or on the sunbed even for a minute - literally in a moment there is a "bird feast". Otherwise, we did not notice any shortcomings.

An excellent hotel for all categories of tourists. It is suitable for both family holidays and couples. Great food, great spa, beautiful beach. Everything you need for a better holiday.
My first hotel where the sunbed is covered with 3 beach towels))) in general, it is very good, the kitchen is gorgeous. The beach is smooth and comfortable.
