Once upon a time, this hotel was most likely really a 4-star hotel, but today this is no longer the case. We got here by "roulette" from a tour operator.
What you liked:
The staff is polite, they go to a meeting, they will explain and prompt everything.
- Daily room cleaning, towel change, toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo, soap. I don't remember any toothpaste. They also bring bottled water.
- Transfer at 9.30-9.45 to Doha Sands Beach
- Good breakfasts.
- Room 616 has an awesome double bed and good air conditioning. The room itself is very spacious.
- There is a swimming pool and a gym.
- We all know that Qatar has a hard time with booze, and it's a big plus for the hotel that there is an Irish pub on the M floor. Entrance is based on your passport. Aclogol is expensive, it's better to stock up on cigarettes in advance, for example, Malboro Gold will be issued in 35 units of local currency, which is our ~ 1050 rubles per pack. It costs about the same for one glass of beer. The bar has a different discount program every day with something new. And every day there's a live cover band playing with a great repertoire, I recommend checking it out.
What didn't you like:
- It's not a very convenient location relative to the metro - it's 1 km away, but that's not the main thing, but the fact that you can only go to the right places with transfers.
- The rest of the furniture has seen the sights and the carpet too. A little dirty, untidy. Windows facing the street are generally something with something.
- There are questions about the kitchen. According to our tour, we had half board. On the first day of arrival, there was a delivery directly to the room. It was delicious.
Then we were invited to dinner at a nearby cafe (in the same building) starting from 19.00-19.30. English is poorly understood in the cafe, even with a translator. It is better to write immediately in Arabic. For dinner, there is only one main course, one salad, and one drink.
Regarding breakfasts, there is a similar and small selection of dishes, if I may say so, a buffet. In general, it's not bad, you definitely won't stay hungry, but you can see that they save a lot on guests.
- There are a lot of broken ellipses in the hall. It is better to come to the pool in the morning. Before or after breakfast.
Overall impressions - everything is not bad today. The hotel handles the basic needs very well, but you should not expect that there will be an all-inclusive service. In fact, the hotel is about 3 stars, no more.
