Quite an interesting place, a modern museum with an interesting composition, is not expensive, there is a small garden with a pond and fish inside, and of course peacocks walk along it. Inside the building there is a specially guarded room with a bust of Hercules and his exploits in the form of frescoes.
The museum is small, even small, but the exhibits are impressive, you realize that you are on the Mediterranean Sea - in a place where life has been in full swing since ancient times. There are many monuments dating back to the Roman and Ottoman Empires. I recommend you to visit!
A very worthy museum. Small in area, but with a well-built exposition. The halls are divided into several epochs in the ancient history of the region. There are enough exhibits not to overload the eye, but to leave a clear idea of the presented period of time. Part of the collection is located in the courtyard of the museum in the open air, which gives the place even more charm. The visit will not take much time, but it will allow you to see the resort town of Alanya from a completely different angle. And that's fine!
A great museum!
Succinctly
Nicely
Modern
Informative
I liked that each showcase represents a specific theme. The design itself is very clear and concise! The museum is on the level!
A visit to the museum for the cost of Turkish coffee allows you to learn more about the history of the region, even if you suddenly do not know English ☺️
I would like to recommend adding an audio guide rental option to immerse yourself in the topic even more vividly.
Thanks!
The museum is about nothing. Firstly, the Internet calls one price (on request today), 2 times more at the checkout and only in cash (
Secondly, the exposition itself is literally for 15 minutes, one large hall with three tiny branches. Well, it's not worth a thousand rubles for two! And thirdly, if in the summer heat you want to go into a cool air-conditioned room, then this is definitely not here. Stuffy and hot, like on the street(((
. I looked, everyone writes , the price is 75 lira, it cost us 144 lira per person in July. For what???
I highly recommend it to fans of ancient Russia. The museum is not big, but there is something to see. And plus there is a room for children with books, coloring books and a daub. My 8-year-old daughter was interested in asking curiously and looking at each exhibit
The museum is small, but the collection is of interest because you can see exhibits from the Greek, Roman, and Ottoman eras. Ceramics, various stone objects (column capitals, gravestones, household items, sculptures) are collected on the street and in the halls, and minted coins are presented. There are also several inscriptions carved in stone, the translation of which can be read in English. In one of the halls there are objects from sunken ships. Two peacocks were walking around the museum.
There are a lot of beautiful statues and other exhibits in the museum. There will be a lot of interesting things for lovers of history, archeology, and sculpture. You can use the audio guide in Russian. There is a patio where after viewing the exhibition you can drink coffee and buy souvenirs. Large parking lot in front of the museum.
There was a very good feeling from watching the exposition, it's a pity I didn't have time to listen to everything in detail.
A great museum! With a cool exposition, and most importantly explaining the stages of the history of Alanya. Who will come without knowledge of English or an online translator will not be interested because information about the exhibits is not duplicated in Russian, but with a translator everything becomes terribly interesting. And yes, there is a peacock in the aviary outside)
It is a very beautiful place, peacocks are walking in the yard, the child and I were delighted. I also liked the exhibition. It is located both in the building and on the street.
A visit to the archaeological museum in Alanya gives you the opportunity to plunge into the era of antiquity and feel the energy of antiquity. The museum presents exhibits of sarcophagi, urns for ashes, there is an exposition of an ancient village with a preserved structure for making olive oil and making coins, and the coins themselves, respectively, raised from the bottom. And a great many other antiquities that have survived to our time. Their number cannot be described in a small paragraph. To do this, you will need to write a book. We recommend you to visit. An important comment is that the description of the exhibits is presented in Turkish and English.
This is an excellent place, the exhibits are interesting, visiting in contact with history as if plunging, falling into the past! I advise you to visit it very interestingly! I really liked it!
Such a cool little museum! So much beauty is gathered in one place! The working hours are until 20.00. the price in early June is 40 lira, a child up to and including 7 years old is free of charge. There is a small game room, they even seem to look after the kids there, you can leave and walk around to see. There is a separate beauty on the street, a fountain with fish, exhibits. A pleasant place. It's a pity there is no duplicate information in Russian, so I'll Google it myself)
I am delighted with the exhibition. I love history and archaeology. This museum is like the jewel of my stay in Alanya. Household items, sculptures, jewelry, a large collection of antique coins.
The entrance is 75 lire. Opening hours in October 2023 are from 8:30 to 19:00. Interesting exposition both inside and outside, albeit small. There is a small recreation area with fountains, tables, chairs, benches. I really miss the Russian language))
I visited this museum for the first time this year, the entrance is 75TL, a large number of exhibits and you can immerse yourself in history! It is a pity that there were no audio guides, because walking around the museum of another country, without a guide, is like writing a content plan without understanding who it is for!??
Very good. A small but very informative museum. There is a playroom for children. In the courtyard, you can sit in the shade of trees and watch peacocks or historical finds. The price in January 2023 was 20 liras, free for children under 8 years old.
A wonderful museum, interesting exhibits, on the territory you can walk in the company of peacocks. There is a souvenir machine in the museum, which is not adjusted, they bought two magnets, gave one and took money for two. The museum employee returned his money. I recommend the museum, it's interesting, I liked it
An interesting history of the city and these places, which is associated with the Roman Empire. The museum is small. Peacocks are walking on the territory. Who pleased with their marriage dances
There was no interior, but a large exposition of ancient amphorae, columns and other architectural forms was presented right on the street. They can be seen on the way to Cleopatra Beach.
Peacocks live on the territory of the museum, which walk along the fence, in the mating season they scream like donkeys and periodically escape over the fence, walking along the road between cars. But they always come home. A very exotic sight!
An interesting museum. Ancient artifacts. In your opinion, tourists rarely come here. It's a pity that there is no audio translator. In general, I liked the museum. I recommend it!
The museum is small, but very cute! We advise you to take a walk and admire the historical exhibits.

The Archaeological Museum of Alanya was opened in 1967 and is still updated annually with new exhibits. The fact is that excavations are constantly being carried out in Turkey, so many more artifacts will soon end up in the museum. The exposition of the Archaeological Museum of Alanya is solid — antiquities are exhibited in 14 halls. Here you can see a variety of things dating back to the Bronze Age. The museum contains historical monuments from Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Byzantium and other countries.

A compact museum, interesting. Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece...Peacocks are walking in the yard :)
It is a very interesting museum, it is not large, but informative. All inscriptions with information are written in English and Turkish, which may be a disadvantage for someone.
It's beautiful and interesting there. We need English to make it clear. There is an aviary with peacocks and guinea fowls and chickens on the territory. They walk freely. But! The work schedule on this site is INCORRECT! ATTENTION SOTO
A very small museum, if there is absolutely nothing to do, then you can go, in principle there is something to see, but the price does not correspond to what you will see.
A remarkable collection of antiquities found mainly in the Alanian region. You can see objects from the early Bronze Age, artifacts from the Hutt, Hittite civilizations, as well as the state of Urartu (brought to Alanya from Van province). There are many exhibits from the Roman and Byzantine periods. It is possible to reconstruct how people lived many centuries ago. And also, looking at objects of worship and religious rituals, it is possible to trace how people's worldviews and beliefs have changed. The whole hall is dedicated to the glorious history of navigation in the Mediterranean. A very interesting museum with a diverse collection reflecting the rich history of the territories occupied by modern Turkey.
The location of the museum is also advantageous - in the very center of the city, opposite Cleopatra Beach (plot N 2) and the city park (100.Yıl Atatürk Parkı), next to the Palace of Culture. The ticket is inexpensive (round 12.lira in 2021), paid strictly in cash in local currency. Children (under 18 years old!!!) they are free of charge. There is an interesting self-service souvenir machine on site. Peacocks walk around the park, which belongs to the museum complex and where interesting exhibits from different centuries are also exhibited, kittens run around, and goldfish swim in the pond. It is a great place for self-education and for family holidays.
A wonderful inexpensive, modern, compact museum. In 1 hour you will learn the whole history and realize all the influence of the cultures of the tribes and empires that controlled the region from the Paleolithic to the Ottoman Empire, most importantly, in chronological order.
The entrance is 12.5 liras.
A very interesting museum, some of the exhibits are in the open air. Most of all, we were surprised by the shells of marine inhabitants of different shapes.
The peacock of the museum was sitting in the house, not walking(
A small but interesting museum. Even children will like it - there is an interactive steering wheel for controlling the ship and a children's room. Some of the exhibits are right on the street, turtles are walking along the paths.
