The castle is listed in maps and guidebooks as a historical landmark, a kind of museum complex. In fact, it is nothing more than a complex of photo zones, seasoned with souvenir shops, mini-cafes, ice cream stalls. You can take a lot of good photos with views of the sea, the port, the city from a height; but we did not find any museum and sightseeing events there. The fortress walls have been preserved in fragments, as well as some infrastructure facilities.
Try not to arrive there at noon - you can not escape from the heat anywhere in the castle.
There are bus stops on the territory; perhaps there is even some kind of regular route :)
A very beautiful fortress, the views of the surrounding area are excellent. But it is better to go to the top by car / taxi, since it is difficult to climb on your own, to put it mildly. And the funicular does not save you completely, since you still have to walk from it to the highest point.
