A typical 2-3 star hotel in the first metro area.
Paddington Metro Station is a 3-5-minute walk away. Your suitcase will have to be lifted manually up a narrow staircase (width for one visitor) to the second or third floor. The double room includes a combined bathroom with a shower cabin, a single-door wardrobe, a table, one chair, a TV. You can't put two suitcases, there's no room for that. There is a kettle in the room. There was a set of tea and coffee bags and sugar bags at the entrance. WiFi in the hotel is paid. It is better to buy a separate SIM card in the store "her". For 10 pounds, you can buy 500 minutes in England and 500 SMS in England for 10 gigabytes per month . Meals are only breakfast from 7:30 to 9:15. There are toasts, sliced cheese, ham, boiled eggs, jam in containers of 20 grams (for half a sandwich) yogurt, cereals (dry breakfast) of three types. Orange juice, coffee (from a bucket) (Meals according to the availability of stars in the hotel)
If you save on transport and walk, then Science Museun, Victoria&Albert Museum, Natural History Museum (these are free museums) are about 40 minutes on foot through the park. And there you can walk around the whole center. (Because the subway is expensive - like everything else). But in general, if you have breakfast and run around London all day, then you can come in the evening, wash up and sleep, then you can.
Pros: the main advantage is the convenient location. Hyde Park is a five-minute walk away, Tesco store is ten minutes away, near the metro and Paddington station, a bunch of cafes, bars, small shops, etc. Because of this, you do not need to spend money on the subway.
Also, the hotel does not have the most huge prices for the center of London, although for sure, having set a goal, you can find a better place for the same price or the same, but cheaper.
The rooms have kettles, bags of sugar, instant tea and coffee, but I preferred to carry my own.
Cons: but there's a lot of stuff here. First of all, small rooms, you can't turn around, you can't really stuff a suitcase anywhere. There is one small closet with one shelf and three hangers for three people in the room. Windows need to be lifted in order to open, and it will not work to make a small crack for easy ventilation - these "shutters" are fixed in one position, while there are often cracks in the windows. There are no heaters. In spring and summer (although probably in winter too) there are sheets with a decorative bedspread on the beds, there are no blankets, and an additional blanket was brought to my friends after a request at the reception, but not to me. There are also several rooms in basements with no windows at all or with one rundown window into an empty, dusty room. The cost of the Internet: £ 1 per hour, £ 3 per day, £ 10 for 7 days, it is cheaper to buy a temporary SIM card, unlimited Internet and always and everywhere with you. The included breakfast is sandwiches that you make yourself, toast, coffee, tea, juice, cereals, yoghurts, for me it's not breakfast, but a quick snack, but I made a bunch of sandwiches with me and ate all day that way.
In general, an average hotel, if you walk all day, then it's fine, the location is generally excellent.
This is a good hotel with a convenient location in the Paddington area. Delicious breakfast. Train station, metro, parks, pubs, exchanges are all nearby 2-5 minutes on foot. The staff is friendly, especially the night shift in the person of Ilir. Only positive emotions.
