This is a very nice hotel close to Paddington Station and the underground. Hyde Park is within walking distance. I lived in a very small room: a step directly from the door is a toilet, a step to the right is a bed, a built-in wardrobe and a TV. But I don't need to be in London anymore, I walked around and collapsed to sleep. The street is quiet and shady.
A typical 2-3 star hotel in the first metro area.
Paddington Metro Station is a 3-5-minute walk away. Your suitcase will have to be lifted manually up a narrow staircase (width for one visitor) to the second or third floor. The double room includes a combined bathroom with a shower cabin, a single-door wardrobe, a table, one chair, a TV. You can't put two suitcases, there's no room for that. There is a kettle in the room. There was a set of tea and coffee bags and sugar bags at the entrance. WiFi in the hotel is paid. It is better to buy a separate SIM card in the store "her". For 10 pounds, you can buy 500 minutes in England and 500 SMS in England for 10 gigabytes per month . Meals are only breakfast from 7:30 to 9:15. There are toasts, sliced cheese, ham, boiled eggs, jam in containers of 20 grams (for half a sandwich) yogurt, cereals (dry breakfast) of three types. Orange juice, coffee (from a bucket) (Meals according to the availability of stars in the hotel)
If you save on transport and walk, then Science Museun, Victoria&Albert Museum, Natural History Museum (these are free museums) are about 40 minutes on foot through the park. And there you can walk around the whole center. (Because the subway is expensive - like everything else). But in general, if you have breakfast and run around London all day, then you can come in the evening, wash up and sleep, then you can.
Pros: the main advantage is the convenient location. Hyde Park is a five-minute walk away, Tesco store is ten minutes away, near the metro and Paddington station, a bunch of cafes, bars, small shops, etc. Because of this, you do not need to spend money on the subway.
Also, the hotel does not have the most huge prices for the center of London, although for sure, having set a goal, you can find a better place for the same price or the same, but cheaper.
The rooms have kettles, bags of sugar, instant tea and coffee, but I preferred to carry my own.
Cons: but there's a lot of stuff here. First of all, small rooms, you can't turn around, you can't really stuff a suitcase anywhere. There is one small closet with one shelf and three hangers for three people in the room. Windows need to be lifted in order to open, and it will not work to make a small crack for easy ventilation - these "shutters" are fixed in one position, while there are often cracks in the windows. There are no heaters. In spring and summer (although probably in winter too) there are sheets with a decorative bedspread on the beds, there are no blankets, and an additional blanket was brought to my friends after a request at the reception, but not to me. There are also several rooms in basements with no windows at all or with one rundown window into an empty, dusty room. The cost of the Internet: £ 1 per hour, £ 3 per day, £ 10 for 7 days, it is cheaper to buy a temporary SIM card, unlimited Internet and always and everywhere with you. The included breakfast is sandwiches that you make yourself, toast, coffee, tea, juice, cereals, yoghurts, for me it's not breakfast, but a quick snack, but I made a bunch of sandwiches with me and ate all day that way.
In general, an average hotel, if you walk all day, then it's fine, the location is generally excellent.
This is a good hotel with a convenient location in the Paddington area. Delicious breakfast. Train station, metro, parks, pubs, exchanges are all nearby 2-5 minutes on foot. The staff is friendly, especially the night shift in the person of Ilir. Only positive emotions.
It's just awful! The room is soooo narrow, everything is old, shabby, there are friendly men at the reception, but probably because we speak English, the breakfast is a cold buffet - ham, cheese, boiled eggs, muesli, jams- butter, cold milk, tea, coffee, bread, croissants (tasteless). The room is warm, the mattresses are good, there are no blankets, instead of blankets there are old quilts, .I didn't want to go back to the room - this is probably a plus - we walked around London a lot!!!Nearby Hyde Park, Kensington Palace. The entrance to it is 23!! pounds. The only plus is close to 2!!! The metro is easy to get to all the attractions in a straight line!Padington Station area is accordingly a lot of people, the area is pleasant but boring, Oxford Street is a 15-minute walk to the left from the entrance to Hyde Park. But we are still satisfied, because a more decent hotel cost 30,000!!!! More expensive!I had to put up with it, although, of course, we rarely find such hotels anymore! We didn't expect it from London!
An amateur hotel.
If you are ready to live in a tiny room with a window to the basement (although there was a ground floor, but there was probably another level in the courtyard), tolerate the monotony and scarcity of breakfasts, some indifference of the staff and heating in January "as it turns out", then this hotel is for you.
One of the advantages is the location, good repair.
If you go towards Paddington station, and turn right into a large street in front of it, then for a kilometer or two you will get to the Arab district, there are only shawarma shops, hookah bars, beggars and the appropriate audience, not England in general.
I dragged my suitcase to the 5th floor without an elevator! Moreover, the last steps were just the top of the balance!!! I hate you for this, dear hosts! It was sooo hard! The room is tiny!
