An amazing museum, very interesting, so many exhibits on the history of the city, all the important milestones in separate halls, and Zheltoksan, and Ermek Serkebayev and Kazakhfilm during the war
I really liked this museum because I chose the tour service in it. The tour was conducted by Alexandra, a knowledgeable, experienced guide who grew up in Almaty and loves her city, who told me in detail about everything-everything about Almaty, from ancient times to the present day, answered all my questions! It was incredibly informative and interesting! Thank her very much!))))
The museum has a good exposition, in my opinion: antiques, old plumbing, and cabinets of the 19th century, when Almaty was a military post of Verny, and even a motorcycle of a local figure and traveler who rode it about 100 (+/-, I don't remember exactly) countries!!!!
Such facts are especially they are interesting during the tour.
I wish everyone who wants to get acquainted with the city and its history to visit this wonderful museum, especially with the tour service!
The Charm of Seoul exhibition runs until August 20. The exhibition presents the history, culture and traditional heritage of South Korea. Amazingly beautiful costumes and jewelry💞

A wonderful museum. It's nice to immerse yourself in the history of the city and Kazakhstan as a whole. You definitely need to take a tour, because it's just interesting to look at the exhibits, but not informative. A lively story enlivens these exhibits. There is a lot of interactive viewing. The impressions were very pleasant, and this atmosphere of museum comfort remained in my mind for a long time. Three hours of the tour flew by like an hour. The only negative is that my legs are tired. It's a cool museum.
It is very interesting and informative. Modern!!! There is a lot of information in electronic form. There is an audio accompaniment! I had a good time. There is a lot to see and read.
The best museum in Almaty.
Modern exposition - there are few exhibits, but they are all first class, proper lighting, installations.
Evgenia is the best tour guide in the city, very competent, 5+.
A must for tourists to visit.
The tour took 1.5 hours.
A great museum, interesting. Children are always delighted to visit.

I visited this museum with great pleasure. In it you can learn about the history of this region from ancient times to the present. Unfortunately, I was there in the morning and on a working day, so without a tour. A guided tour would be even more interesting.
I especially liked the halls about relatively recent events - Zheltoksan and sports
The museum building is beautifully designed by a Russian architect of French origin.
The building is made in the Russian style, but in European traditions.
A fragment of a clay pipeline is remembered, which speaks of the high quality of amenities for residents.
The Museum of the city of Almaty. It's not big, but there are many interesting exhibits. It is also located in a historic building built of wood. It is located in the center, near a pine park.
It is recommended for newcomers to visit Almaty - the main milestones of history from antiquity to modern times are highlighted, there is a separate exposition about Zheltoksan, but not yet about Kantar
A wonderful museum, we recommend it to everyone! Many thanks to the guide Anular for a very interesting and detailed tour, which helped to learn more about the history of not only Almaty, but also the whole of Kazakhstan, as well as to take a closer look at the most interesting exhibits.
A beautiful well-maintained, modernly decorated museum, there are very original installations, it is a pity that there are not so many exhibits and there is no such unique and interesting thing. But you can go
I really liked it here, it's a great place for the whole family

I liked everything, but the exposition is very small, the staff is polite, clean, you can even say cozy, but due to the small number of areas, it is impossible to make new halls
To be honest, more was expected from the museum with tickets for 1000 tenge. The exposition, representing the 19th and 21st centuries, is extremely scarce. This is the museum of Almaty, and the issues of urban planning, urbanism and transport are not paid attention at all, however, as well as industry, leisure and recreation of the city's residents. I expected more.
As far as possible, the history of Almaty is fully presented, including with the help of the latest means (various electronic scoreboards). The museum building is very beautiful. There are many exhibits of the Soviet era that were mass-produced in Almaty and are now antiques.
The museum is boring, there are no interactive areas, few exhibits, even those that should be missing. It is not worth wasting time and money on visiting.
An interesting, small museum. It is divided into the epochs of the formation of Kazakhstan. The tour was conducted by Evgenia, for which I am grateful to her in many ways! 😽
