I put the TV on 4. The rooms are small and dark, four small light bulbs in the room, but clean. We only spent the night in the room, so everything was fine with us. And here is the location on 5+. Everything is very close, within walking distance. It is better to enter a Racetrack in Google maps, then the UN will take you along the shortest road, and there all the sights are within a 5-minute walk.
The staff at the hotel is polite, they help, they show, they ordered a taxi back through them.
Near the hotel, the exchanger is not profitable, it is better to change money closer to the Grand Bazaar. Cafes are also quite expensive nearby, so Google Balkan Restaurant
Balkan Lokantası is a Turkish dining room, prices are 2 times lower, a huge selection and very tasty. Try all the national dishes for a penny. We took 4 dishes for 500 lire, and in a cafe one costs that much, and even more expensive, especially meat.
In short, just to spend the night in a hotel, this is a great place!
Breakfast is on the 4th floor on the highway, we fed the seagulls there. There is not much choice, but you will definitely not be hungry. Eggs, omelette, simitas, matzoni, cheeses, vegetables, pastries, coffee.

We stayed on January 4-7, 2025, solid 4, the rooms are small but clean and cozy, cleaned and changed towels every day))
All the sights are within walking distance)) there are many cafes and restaurants nearby and the food is delicious everywhere)) the breakfasts are not very varied, but you will not stay hungry (I personally was completely satisfied with the breakfasts)
The staff is friendly and courteous

The room is small but cozy. The room has a kettle, tea, coffee, two bottles of water, slippers, shower gel,soap. It is heated by air conditioning. Cleaning was done every day. There are polite, smiling staff at the reception, always ready to help. A buffet breakfast is included in the package. Breakfast is a regular Turkish breakfast. Eggs, cheeses, sausage, French fries and onions, vegetables, tea, coffee, sweets, fruits. Convenient location. Within walking distance of the main attractions: Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, St. Sophia Cathedral, Basilica Cisterns, etc. Near the sea, shopping streets, Grand Bazaar, many cafes and restaurants.

A kind and warm welcome at the reception. Extremely friendly and lovely maids. The cleaning is thorough, daily replenishment of cosmetics and accessories. Nice clean rooms. The room has a safe, kettle and tea accessories, refrigerator, water is added every day. The breakfasts are good, you won't stay hungry. Beautiful view from the terrace restaurant.

The prices are wild. On the first day, I asked how much the hookah cost, 400 lira was answered at the reception, I came to the restaurant at the hotel - some employee bent 750 lira, and this despite the fact that they did not have coal or tobacco.
A meager buffet. As meager as possible. There were salads stuffed with mayonnaise, which were absolutely impossible to eat.

Among the disadvantages are small rooms, an old building, and not the best location. The kitchen (breakfasts) is a C-plus - the range of dishes is average, only paper sausages and sausage are made from meat, otherwise almost everything is available for breakfast. The quality of the dishes is not bad. The price tag is captivating. January 2024, for a double room - about 4,500 rubles / day.

A cozy hotel in the historical part of Istanbul. All the main attractions are within walking distance. The room is cleaned, towels are changed, the staff is friendly. The breakfasts are very average, but the quality of the food is good. And there are cool pebbles two steps away. You can safely check in.

The rooms are small and shabby (I don't understand why not take the paint and just walk through the stripped places) the furniture is the same as the renovation.
From the pleasant - the restaurant is located on the roof and the view from it is not bad, but !!! Food is also about nothing!!! A banal omelet cannot be cooked properly, in general, it is miserable in all its real stardom so that there are no claims to it 2*
If this stardom had been declared, then I would say that the norm is a good option, but sometimes it is shown as 4 * in general, it spoiled the whole stay with such a hotel. And I will say that we were lucky enough to be given a two-level room (we did not have time to prepare a standard one)

The hotel is very clean... cleaning every day. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It is located 20 minutes from Sultanahmed Square and 10 minutes from Bayazed Square and tram tracks... there is a small market for products, which is twice as cheap as in other places... the exchanger is nearby, but not profitable... The market located on Bayazed Square is much more profitable.

Hot water, change of towels every day, although they are smelly, either bleach, or washed, if you are squeamish, take your own with you.
Most importantly, it's Istanbul itself, history, fresh fish and the strait! What's the difference where to spend the night)

Upon check-in, we were told that we would be moved to another hotel for 1 night... This is typical for Turkey... The next day, we returned to Amber and were given 2 rooms for 4 at the reception, below the reception level, almost in the basement!!! The room had a window that looked out onto the wall of the neighboring building, located half a meter away! There was no light in the room, dim lamps barely give shape to the room🤦🏻♀️Istanbul has a very dense building and there are windows only in the side that face the facade. In response to requests for relocation, we were told that they would be able to relocate only after 2 days-the hotel was overcrowded. The hotel is gorgeous. The breakfasts are fantastic. We were moved to this hotel after we were attacked near the previous hotel.
I later moved my mother into the Amber Hotel. We were very satisfied with everything: accommodation and varied meals, and very good-natured and responsive staff 👍 unreal guys)A separate attraction is Murad - 100 people in 1. He will tell you about the excursions, show you where it is cheaper to buy sweets and goodies (before him we bought 3 times more expensive), tell you about security in Istanbul (after all, this is a bandit district and after 20:00 you can only walk along the central streets, it has been proven the hard way). Murad also supports single travelers (in the evening he gave mom a small tour of the surrounding area), and the magical Murad can send you to the airport by taxi with discounts.))) Murad has many connections that help travelers a lot.👍 We were satisfied !))) Thanks a lot to the hotel!!!) And Murad and the rest of the staff - respect!!!!👍 You are cool guys )

A clean, comfortable hotel close to all major attractions.
The room was cleaned every day, clean, white linen. The breakfasts are hearty and delicious. A small hot dish, sausage, cheese (3 types), vegetables, dessert and fruits (+dried fruits)
are an excellent option for a holiday in Istanbul.

The hotel is normal. Nothing was flowing, the staff was very responsive and friendly, the water was left every day, clean (just don't look under the furniture, it's a nightmare). Yes, the furniture is a little shabby, it is clear that the hotel is not new, but the mattress on the bed is good, it is comfortable to sleep.
The breakfasts are delicious.
BUT there is NO sound insulation here
It's unbearable, you definitely won't get enough sleep. The door is just cardboard, as if it doesn't exist. We lived on the 3rd floor, you can hear everything from the hall. Other guests were constantly slamming doors with all their might at one o'clock in the morning and at six in the morning.
The windows, by the way, have no sound insulation either. On the first morning, I discovered that with the windows closed, I could hear the purring of the blue on the window grate.
Just because of this, I strongly do NOT recommend it.

We stayed here in early October. The friendly staff, in particular Murad, who was both the concierge and the caretaker in the kitchen. And he brought tea with lemon to the table when I had a cold. To be honest, the area is unpleasant, very noisy, with shopping and restaurants at every turn. But maybe someone will like it. By the way, there is an Aquarium restaurant 2 minutes from the hotel, I recommend it, you can tell them my name Kristina, they will be pleased. Very tasty fish!
There are a lot of cars near the hotel and they are constantly beeping. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the tram through the narrow streets to the hill. But it's okay. On the way, you can drink fresh pomegranate juice for 10-20 lire.
The main attractions are within walking distance in 30 minutes.
You can also walk to the Bosphorus embankment in 10 minutes.

And I also came during the pandemic, asked for help with obtaining a hez code, which all hotels give out instantly upon check-in, they refused me, said they were not doing this, after I started calling the guide and the staff of the welcoming company - they demanded a fee!!! It took 40 minutes to "force" them to provide a hash code!!! I do not recommend this hotel.
