To be honest, I didn't really like it. Very few activities, nothing much to do. Half of the castle is occupied by builders, and the castle itself, although interesting, is only for about 5 minutes. In general, you can visit, but I would recommend going to the skyscraper area, there is not much to do here.

Rich and vibrant nature, great atmosphere! Zilkale is a medieval castle located in the Firtina Valley. On the Pontic Mountains. One of the most famous historical monuments in Rize province (Turkey)
The castle is located at an altitude of 750 meters from sea level on the cliff of the mountain.
From the top of the castle, you can see the entire Firtin Valley and its surroundings.

Municipal employees are not happy. Some houses around the castle have been restored, but some of them are so outdated that they take a person back to B.C... I mean, I have a hard time understanding how this anachronistic terrible image can happen in the heart of the city.
