The day before, I contacted about the assembly of a PC from the customer's components. This service was listed in the price list. Why I applied - because I have at most three sets of assembly experience for ten years, and installing Windows for a period of three days on a friend's laptop at his request. That's why I decided to contact a specialist with work experience, a full hand and a stand at hand with all the necessary tools. The latter, by the way, was confirmed in the preliminary call: assembling a PC from components only at the stand, not on the road; and I perfectly understand and accept this. There was, however, one caveat: non-standard components, obviously such do not pass through the workshop every day. At the appointed time, I brought the necessary components for the assembly and outlined the task: install the processor, fan, memory in the motherboard and run the kit in open form and see the picture on the monitor. This result would be considered a success. Or, if there is no picture, fix a potential problem and see the picture. Or localize the problem as accurately as possible, which is why this picture is not visible. With these words, the master accepted the kit and ... refused to do the job, along the way calling some components g *** om. After that, he offered to assemble the constructor for a reduced price compared to the previously agreed price. I refused, seeing that the master had no desire to engage in this task, and I am not a supporter of coercion, because I believe that such an approach is destructive.
After that, I returned home and assembled the constructor on my own without a stand, stuffed hands and tools. And it started. Yes, not immediately, but after dancing with the "tambourine", but it started: despite, not thanks. It took all that evening and half the next day. And that's why I initially decided to contact a specialist with a willingness to spend money, but not to waste this time.
What is the result: on the one hand, a specialist with extensive work experience, a stand, all the necessary tools, and possessing the wonders of verbal balancing, refusing to complete the task. On the other hand, the kettle, which screwed the M2 drive into the board for 15 minutes the day before, because the bolt, damn it, constantly fell out of hand, and for three days put Windows on a neighbor's laptop, assembled a working constructor, which the aforementioned master refused to assemble.
I would recommend it to others... Perhaps, but only with some standard problem: to clean the keyboard, install Windows, assemble a PC from new branded components, etc. But obviously not when something non-standard is required. Which, in fact, is the lion's share of all the tasks of any specialist in any industry, I'm talking about a significant factor of uncertainty and the inability to predict the result in advance. And this is exactly what is the measure of professionalism and skill of a specialist.
