Aphrodite Beach is located in the immediate vicinity of the highway leading to Paphos and is a small bay with several rocks sticking out of the water, which makes this place quite picturesque.
There is a belief that whoever finds a pebble on the beach, shaped like a heart, will be lucky in love. My wife and I found three stones.
A place about which there are beautiful legends that you want to believe in)
Ancient myths tell us that the goddess of beauty, love and fertility chose this beach in 1200 BC to get out of the sea foam and incarnate in human form. People believe that after bathing, they will find youth and beauty)
Men come for strength, unmarried women come to meet love, and couples believe that after bathing together, they will love each other forever. Believe it or not, the choice is yours, but
the place is definitely worth a visit, it's very beautiful 💙
My family traveled independently, took a car to rent. We drove all over the island. Aphrodite Beach is the most beautiful place! The water is the purest, stupefied color!A must-see!
This is something! Complete delight! Pristine pristine sea, waves, pebble beach - the beauty is extraordinary! But it is better not to swim close to the rocks in Volya, there may be whirlpools. The sea is deep from the shore, not for children, which pleased us.
The place is very beautiful! Of course, there are a lot of tourists, everyone wants to hear the legends about this place and see it with their own eyes! Amazing sunsets! And the sea, the sea, the sea....
Aphrodite Beach is famous for the fact that Aphrodite appeared from the sea foam a long time ago. The place where it appeared is reminiscent of a large stone protruding into the sea. There is an observation deck next to the beach on a hill with a beautiful view of the sea, the shore and the Aphrodite stone itself. The beach itself is rocky, there are not many people, but the sea in this place is something special: the waves run over the rocky shore, the water is cooler than near sandy beaches, but no less attractive, just as clean and inviting.
This is a place that tourists should definitely visit and touch the spirit of the legend that permeates this place.
Hello everyone
When we first arrived in Cyprus and rode a guided bus (2 hours) from Paphos to Ayia Napa, the guide enthusiastically and foamed at the mouth told us about the magnificent, romantic, mythical Aphrodite beach with stones in the shape of hearts, etc.
And so, we rented a car . And after a trip to the mountains, on the way back we stopped by and looked at the vaunted "wonder of the world".
Further on the points :
- we were on Friday in the middle of the day
- from far away (from the road) the sea was beautiful and blue
- the parking lot next to the beach is full of cars and buses
- people shouting "Lucy, bring your underpants!!!" ran past us like flocks of wild animals...
- they parked with difficulty and went to investigate, fortunately the bathing suits were already on us.
- I will send it expensive to the sea via the underground tunnel "claustrophobic dream".
- the beach is made of a large sloping stone.... beautiful view .... and MOUNTAINS of rotten algae, so you need to walk along them to get to the water
- and again the crowds ran screaming
- and the girls, as if in convulsions , pose, trying to somehow cover the algae....
- they went into the sea for 2 minutes, the bottom is rocky... It hurts my legs 😖
- they waved their hand.... purely entertainment and a lure for tourists
And then....
We returned to the car, and the shower is paid !!!!
And not just 50 euro cents for 10 (TEN) seconds!!!! And a queue of crazy tourists in the changing booths🤦♂️
Dear owners of the shower and cafe in the parking lot by the beach, I have a great idea - a paid toilet. What do you think? Moreover, the billing is minute-by-minute. Write to me, we will discuss the idea)))
The legendary beach, the place where, according to legend, Aphrodite herself was born. Everyone who came to Cyprus for a vacation should definitely visit here
