A place worth visiting. It is located on the embankment in Side, free to visit. The view is impressive: something ancient plus a delightful sea, next to a bay with modern ships and boats. There are streets with shops and cafes nearby, everything looks very European.
There is also a museum part with the rest of the ruins nearby, admission for September 2024 is 17 euros per person, but payment is only in local lira (the cost in lira is not indicated, probably due to rampant inflation). Whether it makes sense to pay this amount is up to everyone to decide. It's probably more economical as part of the tour.
I have long dreamed of visiting this place. I strongly recommend you to visit. It is very interesting to observe and walk among the history. It's very crowded and has its own atmosphere. I really liked it. Get ready to walk a lot. But you can shorten the walking route either by a special train for 1 euro or by a golf cart . Of course, you can also take a taxi. When it gets dark, everything plays with completely different colors with the backlight. You definitely need to visit in the evening
All the cafes in this place are very unusual, the food is delicious, but at a cheap price (3 salads and 3 non-alcoholic cocktails - 10,000 rubles). Almost all the sights are behind the fence, far away. Admission is 17 euros per person (for a family of 4 people, about 9,000 rubles, this is for admission). I do not recommend going here on an excursion, perhaps it would be different with an interesting guide...
A great neighborhood. There are fragments of history on every street. I recommend both watching with a group guide and taking a private walk. There are recommended routes, but you can also come up with your own options right on the go. Do not forget that the stones cannot be carried away
An interesting landmark place. It is mandatory to visit and, preferably, with a tour of the old Side.
We got to the amazing sunset and watched a photo shoot of a beautiful couple of newlyweds.
If you want to touch an ancient landmark, then come here. Beautiful photos are provided: during the day-on the seashore and overlooking beautiful yachts, at night - beautiful lighting. And most importantly, you can touch everything and imagine what these columns could have seen over a millennium if they had eyes.
A beautiful place in the old town of Side. A beautiful promenade with cafes and restaurants. A place where you can touch the history, enjoy the dishes and the beautiful scenery of the sea.
Side is a wonderful open-air museum. Clean, cozy, beautiful, but really expensive. In addition to the Temple of Apollo, there are a huge number of other archaeological sites, there is something to see.
A great place to walk, both during the day and in the evening - it opens in different ways. I really like the old town, its flavor and views of antiquity are amazing in their scope.
Guys, it's sooo beautiful, be sure to go, in the evening there is a backlight, people are walking, taking pictures, the sea is noisy nearby, a light breeze and the rustle of waves, beauty.
I recommend a nice and inexpensive family bus ride for those who are vacationing near this place. There are cafes on the shore and of course souvenirs).
A beautiful place worth visiting. But it is best to visit in the evening. There will be a backlight and there will be less heat. And the photo will be more beautiful at sunset.
People still could not solve the mystery of who built this creation and how!? For the last millennia, scientists from all over the world have been racking their brains and the right answer is before your eyes!
Everything is very beautiful! Cool, cool, thoughtful! Perfectly crafted columns and patterns on them, it would be very interesting to see how the lapot peasants worked on this beauty with a hammer and chisel. I strongly recommend you to visit
The Temple of Apollo in Side, according to local guides, served as a meeting place for Queen Cleopatra and commander Mark Anthony. Which is quite possible if you remember that the building was erected in the 2nd century BC, although there is no documentary evidence of the legend. 8 centuries later, it was demolished by an earthquake along with the nearby temple of Pallas Athena (or Artemis). The natural disaster deprived us of the opportunity to admire the beautiful creation of ancient Roman architects on the shore of the azure sea, but even its ruins are admirable.
The Temple of Apollo was surrounded by 66 columns along the perimeter, only 5 of them stood, the rest lie in the rubble that littered the entire territory. White marble 9-meter pillars with Corinthian finials support the corner of the pediment with bas-reliefs of the Gorgon Medusa. The path to the columns through the ruins is fenced with a metal mesh, through which you can see the surviving foundations, fragments of walls and ceilings. The fine work of the stone carvers, whose tools were only hammers and chisels, is amazing.
Access to the ruins of the neighboring temple is closed, everything there is hanging by a thread and can collapse at any moment. In the evenings, the lights turn on, and the columns seem to float above the waves in the rays of the spotlights, it looks especially romantic from the side of the boat, and even more wonderful — from an expensive yacht.
It is very beautiful, I advise you to look at those who are vacationing in Side. Beautiful photos are being taken, goddesses drag your Apollons there. Admission is free
All the ruins are currently in c (and the season has already begun) under restoration, scaffolding, curtains, there is no sense of history, or any interest. Landscapes, streets with shops and coves are much more interesting.
Beauty. I advise you to visit. The old town of Side is a miracle. The atmosphere itself disposes to rest.
I really liked the architectural monument, a great place for selfies.
A beautiful and peaceful place in January. Instagrammed. Deserves a visit. It is easy to get from Antalya by car. There is a very picturesque restored city nearby.
The only thing left is this arch, the rest is being rebuilt, houses are being built from above, all the streets are rebuilt, there are a lot of people, there are small shops, but autumn is expensive there, compared to the city
We drove here from Kemer )
I saw and learned about this place from the TV series "Knock on my door" and never regretted that we arrived. What are the views of the sea and the city itself is very cozy
It's a beautiful place. It is located at the very end of the old town. Sea view, beautiful sunset. I recommend to visit, there who travels around Antalya

Very beautiful! I recommend you to visit. It would probably be more interesting to have a guide. It's crowded. It is very sunny in the afternoon, an open space, it is better to take a hat and water))
To be honest, I didn't get into the grandeur of these ruins. I agree that it's worth a look. But, whether it was the August heat, or the endless crowds of tourists, we almost ran. Checked in, so to speak.
An incredibly beautiful place, with a very strong energy! The Temple of Apollo in Side was built in the II century AD, during the reign of Antoninus Pius. It was destroyed during the construction of the atrium of the Christian basilica.
Be sure to visit the old town if you are in Side. During the day, you can walk through the ancient ruins, find interesting places for photos. And in the evening they turn on the backlight. You can see the remains of columns, walls, amazing patterns on stone blocks
