One of my favorite cafes since 2007. It was the first one that opened as a modern restaurant/cafe. I really miss their delicous chocolate cakes called apra which still I remember dearly.

I liked everything very much. The place (overlooking the sea, gorgeous sunsets, sea breeze, very beautiful), food (rolls, pork steak, local wine, beer... Everything was delicious), the service (the waiters are responsive, they will do everything in the best possible way). I advise everyone who will be in Sukhum.

I have never reached this restaurant by the sea, and when I finally managed to overcome the Turkish restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the chic menu with European, Mexican, Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. At first glance, the menu is bloated. But surprisingly, all the dishes I ordered were always served without delay and well cooked. Mussels, seafood julienne, phasitos, scallops, salads can generally be talked about for a long time and only in a positive way. The restaurant itself is located directly in the sea. While eating fiery fajitas, a fresh cool sea breeze will blow over you and in front of the guests of this institution you will never be ashamed of breaking a sweat (who knows Mexico tastes, then he will understand me)) I recommend 100% ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were passing through Sukhumi, decided to have dinner, and since we had been to this cafe many times before, we decided not to change the tradition. We ordered chicken fillet, salad, everything was delicious and beautifully served. We also ordered mullet and mullet. From the barbecue menu. But... they just brought fried fish. It was impossible to eat the lamb- the taste of marsh mud. I don't even know what had to be done to her to ruin it like that. The mullet was a C grade... when butchering, there was a strange substance inside- either badly gutted, or I do not know what… To our comment about the taste of fish, the waitress said, well, it's fish, so it tastes like that... by the way, it's not the first time we've eaten fish in our lives and we perfectly understand its taste. A very unpleasant aftertaste remained. We won't come here anymore. Also among the disadvantages are smoky curtains and sofas with cigarette burns. As non-smokers, the smell of smoke in the room was not pleasant to us. In general, the beautiful view and location and 50% of the food from the receipt did not compensate for the remaining disadvantages. It's a pity, there was a favorite cafe in Sukhum.

For me, this is the ideal meaning of life in the off-season - to be closer to delicious sunny food, and not some kind of diet.
What should I say? A delicious place where they cook well and treat you heartily. The atmosphere is on a high level, welcoming and welcoming. And most importantly, I definitely want to come back!

We walked along the embankment in the evening and decided to visit this place, there were three adults, one of us was very hungry, ordered salads, mussels, chicken, etc. As a result, after half an hour they brought us 2 salads, after another 40 minutes they brought mussels that were iced, i.e. they were not even completely defrosted, after 1 hour and 20 minutes we ask how things are with the chicken, the waiters answer that it is already in the oven and in 5 minutes it will be ready, after another 15 minutes, apparently the senior administrator comes and says that the chicken is not ready yet and we need to wait at least another 30 minutes, we refused and left after paying off, and the hungriest person remained hungry.

We went to have dinner at the institution on 07/22/24, there was not a full landing at 22:00. The order was made 10-15 minutes later, cocktails were served from the bar for about 30-40 minutes after the order was made. (2 pcs bottled beer, 75ml chacha, negroni cocktail and Mexico tonic cocktail).
We ordered the second course - meat in Abkhazian, quail, scallops with mashed avocado and two salads.
There are basically no questions about salads.
Meat in Abkhazian is dry , there are more onions in the dish than meat .
Avocado puree is tasteless, no salt, no lemon juice, as if they just crushed the avocado, and early in the morning, as all the puree turned dark .
Quail with narsharab sauce is wildly dry , spicy herbs and narsharab sauce are declared in the composition . There were no herbs, narsharab barely had a teaspoon. It tastes like this quail has been warmed several times. The dish was waited for a very long time, served the very last, almost before leaving.
We ordered negroni again, waited 40 minutes, as the waiter did not punch in the receipt.
The waiter did not take the empty plates from the table, the appliances came up and asked for themselves.
Approaching the administrator, the girl was extremely surprised that the dishes had some deviations, also saying that their cook was ill and another one was replacing him, that we were not the first to complain about problems with the taste of the dishes. We were sitting in a company (4 people, but different checks), meat had to be removed from my check in Abkhazian, they removed it from another check for the guys. When we decided with the administrator about the cocktail, the bartender said that there was mint syrup and it gave such a taste. Mint syrup does not give the taste of the rinse aid and the smell of the washing machine.
After talking to the bartender, he said that he had been preparing drinks for a long time because of the large number of receipts. The boarding was not full in the establishment and most of them drank beer and wine, which just need to be poured from a bottle.
A company left nearby, no one came to the table for about 40 minutes to clean the table for the guests.
After talking with the administrator, the meat in Abkhaz and the Mexico tonic cocktail were removed from the receipt, thank you for resolving this issue.
If you feel sorry for your time , nerves and health , you do not need to come here . The service is very long, the staff does not interact with each other, does not interact with the guests.
It's a pity for the time spent, they left hungry. We won't be coming back here anymore.

The other day we visited this institution, from the positive sides, only the view itself and the panorama of the coast, then only the cons, ordered pork in a hot frying pan, asked three times not to bring spicy, they brought spicy anyway, the mussels were chipped, it is almost impossible to eat, and the laying out of mussels expects the best, piled up just in general, it did not take long to wait for the preparation, since the landing of people was minimal, it seems like they call themselves a restaurant, but it does not look close to the service, so I do not recommend this restaurant👎

The restaurant has the same name, price and quality are unequal, there is no service, the food is tasteless: 1) we waited for the order for 50 minutes, instead of the promised 15-20 minutes (well, we turn a blind eye to this, because it's like this everywhere)2) we ordered warm baked rolls: tasteless, boiled rice, slightly warm, we also closed our eyes to this, we already wanted to eat very much, in a couple of days we had dinner at Leon restaurant, 100 times tastier; the next dish that was brought was a frying pan with chicken and vegetables, all meat and vegetables floated in a huge layer butter, the dish is very salty, they didn't eat it at all, and of course the mussels in Kim Chi sauce (we came to Apra two years ago and ordered the mussels were delicious, we went to this * restaurant* because of them) cold, the sauce is frozen, the cheese is frozen, the mussels were returned, after which the administrator came up and provedthat they are warm, and all the guests like it (half an hour before, I watched the picture as the girl also returned the mussels and the receptionist swore at her, of course I thought we would be lucky, but no, I wouldn't be surprised if we were given her mussels). The administrator is from God, does not solve the situation, but argues with the guests, and says :< don't sport with me, because I'm the administrator here , I know better > 😀 there's no way to prove it, because they don 't taste good or something can 't be wrong;

. We waited for trout (reported waiting 40 minutes) for 74 minutes. I had to go to the administrator myself and ask: what happened?
They said that their stove burned down (?)
Why didn't they tell me about it right away? Why did I come up and find out about it myself?
It really spoiled the impression, just tin. The salad was delicious, no doubt, but the attitude of the staff is tinny

It's kind of so-so. The views of the city are good, BUT: the tables are low, at knee level - it is not convenient to eat, they stand so tightly that you have to place those very knees sideways, some seats without backs like stools, there was a terrible draft inside. We wanted to sit for a while, take a break, ordered a milkshake and looked. The cocktail was beautiful in appearance, but it tasted like milk diluted with tap water. And there was some kind of tasteless (probably from instant coffee), ice cream too (how could this be, I had not imagined before).
The table where we were sitting stank terribly of rotten clams (we ate shrimp nearby, but fresh ones don't smell like that), and from the other end of the restaurant there was a smell of hookah (while there were a lot of children inside).
Payment was requested in cash, allegedly there are no other options, although the next table has just paid by transfer... And the change was not brought.
Three races just for a view of the city, although this is not their merit.

It's not the first year we've been coming to Sukhum. We really like this place. The staff is very polite, friendly and attentive, this is not the case everywhere! The food is delicious, we ordered a lot of things, pasta, fish, salads, soups, sushi, everything is decent. I would call Apra a full-fledged restaurant. Great place!!!If you want to eat delicious food in Sukhum, then you are here.
Pros: the location, the kitchen is excellent, 5 points, the cocktail list is 5 points, the administrator and waiters are always in the hall, spinning like bees-class!!! Always in touch, gorgeous view from any window.
They have disadvantages. And the most important thing is the tables-low, and not all with backs. And of course a good kitchen is not with a low price. The check is above average. Hookah 3.5 out of 5 can be supplied. The taste at the initial level is excellent, further on the decline.
We took: pasta Bolognese at a good level, salad "velenie" I want a recipe * very cool 5 out of 5, cocktails- obviously they did not spare alcohol and ingredients. Bottom line: I recommend the room!!!
