We visited the Ararat brandy factory with an excursion. The factory building stands on a hill and can be seen from afar. At the entrance, everyone is greeted by the staff of the establishment, there is also a store for all types of factory products and a comfortable waiting area. The tour lasts about an hour and costs from 1100rub. During this time, you will learn about the history of cognac in Armenia, its main production and aging processes, and get acquainted with the historical collection of bottles. In addition, you will hear the stories and stories of the guide related to the Ararat factory. And already in the final part you will feel the taste of the drink at the tasting. Alcoholic beverages, including cognac, are a gift from God, but it is important to use them wisely and to know the measure. "Wine leads to licentiousness, strong drinks lead to violence, and everyone who is addicted to them is foolish" (Proverbs 20:1).
A very interesting place, 3 in 1: the Ararat cognac museum, production and store. The tasting tour is very interesting from different points of view and certainly unforgettable. And in the shop at the factory, you can buy different types of cognac, including small-volume souvenirs, cheaper than in supermarkets. I definitely recommend visiting while in Yerevan
Thank you for the wonderful tour and digustation. Special thanks to Lucia's guide, it was very interesting))) I liked everything completely, although I am a person who does not drink cognac. But there, strangely enough, I tried it. Thanks a lot)
A beautiful building, visible from afar :)
It's great that there are excursions and your own store with a large selection of products at affordable prices. Nice staff and there is a cooler :) in the heat, that's what you need.
We bought a 7-year-old cognac as a gift and to pamper ourselves.
It's delicious, there are no words... We don't know, of course, maybe cognac wouldn't be so tasty at home, because Ararat in Armenia is drunk in its own way - it has its own atmosphere!
Once again, we were convinced that such drinks are a gift from God. The main thing is to use it correctly :)
We were on an excursion to the cognac museum. It was informative and delicious. Many thanks to the guide Elina for her new knowledge, interesting story and fascinating interest in her work.
I expected something else from the tour: the real production process, the workshop, ... But it's not interesting to look at expensive bottles behind glass and barrels with signatures of politicians.
If you choose between Noah and Ararat
Definitely ARARAT, the organization, and the guide are on the level, very interesting different locations, drinks and the tasting itself are top. Incredibly liked it
Там делают атличны каняк, очынь укусны. Я бывала, прыду с работы, бульбы навару, кпньичка наллю сибе, ды як выпью! И жонка мая эты каняк любит, аж нивись як! Я эта усе всем рикаминдую
Great tour! The guide is an expert in his field, it was very interesting.I got to the tasting, which consisted of only three types of cognac. According to my information, there is also a tasting of five types of cognac, but it is a little more expensive. I recommend you to visit.
I am from Bobruisk, Belarus. Ararat always took part in the feast . I recently bought Akhtamar in its original packaging and a factory bottle in the Korona 075 supermarket. It's just terrible. It hits the head like a sugar moonshine. What happened? How to understand? Where is the pleasant intoxication?
The tour is a bit tedious, there are few life stories and a lot of laudatory odes to the plant, listening to it is tedious. In general, the organization is good and the tasting is also good.
I want to draw attention to the disrespectful behavior of the guard towards tourists. After the tour, we decided to use a breathalyzer, asked for a tube, when we started using it, the guard came up and turned off the machine from the outlet, saying that he was already showing everyone the presence of alcohol. There was an unpleasant aftertaste after such a magnificent tour.
I've read a lot of reviews. Everyone praises me so much. Before that, I was on an excursion to Abrau-Durso, this is an excursion for +5 points.
Here they held one tiny floor with photos and that's enough for this.
I didn't like the word at all😞
A tasting tour to the Ararat factory! You can order online, by phone, or come and pay on the spot. A very interesting tour and subsequent tasting. Different types of cognacs. There is a shop at the factory where you can buy the cognac you like.
The guided tour with Kristina was excellent. They took us through the galleries, with the exception of sealed barrel warehouses - but this is the requirement of the French owners. The tasting itself is very informative. They explained everything in detail and showed how to open the cognac, gave them time to taste it calmly.
I liked everything! All employees, starting with the security guard and ending with the seller in the store, are professionals! We bought tickets for the tour and tasting, and the first thing we really liked was that we didn't let tourists with children on the tour! The tour introduced me to the history of the development of cognac production in Armenia, it was very interesting. And at the end there was a cognac tasting.

A very interesting Tour and a shop in the building
I took a tour of this plant. It was very interesting, the history of the plant is closely intertwined with the history of Armenia. The tasting was excellent, we tried three types of cognac, learned how to use it correctly))) I advise you to be without a steering wheel
We walked through the museum of the plant, we liked everything very much. The plant has a rich history.Unfortunately, it was not possible to try cognac at the tasting because I was driving, but we bought several bottles with us as a gift.Thank you for a pleasant time.
It's a great place. I learned a lot about cognac, as well as the history and traditions associated with it. After the tour (of course not all over the plant), there is a tasting, which allows you to understand the importance of aging, taste and quality differences of varieties. An indescribable fragrance accompanies the tour. Products can also be purchased there. I recommend.
I recommend it to everyone who is not indifferent to Armenian cognac. Prices are slightly lower than in stores. But it's definitely high-quality and pleasant.
We visited Armenia during the New Year holidays. A mandatory point for us was a visit and an excursion to the Ararat Brandy Factory in Yerevan. Everything was organized perfectly. And the cognac tasting at the factory set a new taste standard for Armenian cognac.
During the tour of the factory, we got acquainted with the rich traditions of the production of the famous Armenian cognac.
And at the tasting we were taught how to drink cognac correctly - it's a whole science!
We are very sorry that we could not get on the tour. but in the store at the factory, everything was politely and intelligibly told about all the products of interest. after the test, we were very satisfied.
Good afternoon.
A very tasty place filled with history, traditions and flavors.
The "Share of angels" permeated the air in the basement with magical scents that turn your head.
The tastings are different, from simple to aged drinks.
A good store where you can buy products according to your income and taste preferences.
Thank you ARARAT for the impressions.
An extremely unfavorable impression of the company was left by an attempt to visit a factory tour in Yerevan with a tasting on 06/28/19 at 12:00. The tour was booked, which is confirmed by correspondence. However, when we arrived at the factory, we were told that the factory had not received our confirmation for technical reasons, and there would be no excursion at 12. We've wasted our time, and the mood has soured a bit too. We believe it is necessary to restructure business processes, take measures to eliminate technical failures and improve the skills of staff in the excursion department. Otherwise, the brand image suffers.
A wonderful excursion and degustation, it is very interesting to tell, when approaching the factory, the smell of cognac appears, inside it only intensifies))
I was only in the store and in the courtyard in front of the museum. The prices are high, the courtyard is beautiful. Plus, of course, the view from Isakov Street is beautiful.
