Totally incompetent staff, rude security staff. Trying to push their guide services for crazy amount of money.

The first building that greets you when visiting the Gur-Emir mausoleum. Nicely. Next to the mausoleum there were madrasahs and khanaka (not preserved). Burials of famous personalities were also held there, but not Temurids, now their numerous tombstones stand near the portal on the remains of these structures.

It's a great place. It is very beautiful and historical. There are good neighborhoods with guest houses and restaurants nearby. Samarkand may be the old capital, but thanks to such places it is very memorable to this day.
