A great hotel in the old town. The location is excellent, close to all the sights of the old town. We lived in a new building: the rooms are very large, bright, and have a terrace with a beautiful view. Excellent snow-white linen, towels, bathrobes. Fast Wi-Fi. There is a restaurant in the main building. It is decorated very interestingly and stylishly. Breakfast is four points out of five. The waiters are trying very hard, but I didn't really like the food.
The hotel is magnificent. The location, the service, and the price are not bad (especially for the old town).
I would especially mention the restaurant. The serving is unusual, everything is very tasty. If you get to Nikolai's table, then consider yourself very lucky. You haven't met such a waiter for sure!
We stayed at the Art Club Hotel for 6 nights in a SUITE with a terrace on the 4th floor. This is the most expensive room in this hotel. We paid 1,500 manats for accommodation. We booked through the website.
Objectively in general: the hotel is pleasant, very small, in a super location! This is a good 3+ stars in the "Boutique Hotel" format with its own nuances. And this is not really a hotel, but a mini-complex of a restaurant (not cheap by the way), apartments and an art gallery. Overall, we liked it. We didn't want a chain hotel on principle. We were looking for such a plan on the streets of the old city.
But I want to point out what really SPOILS the impression of the hotel and what upsets you during your stay in it.
This is an elementary INATTENTION of the staff, unfortunately!!!!
We had an overnight flight from St. Petersburg, checked into the room early in the morning (and by the way, we paid for a day's stay even for this, we wanted to sleep after the flight). By the way, we were not accommodated for free, although the room was free (((
They closed the windows, just fell asleep, the bell rings. We were already startled. The receptionist asks if cleaning is needed. ((( What a cleaning service we just checked into the room!!!!! They just woke me up....such a lack of respect for the comfort of the guests....
We had some kind of eternal problem with towels. There are no shelves in the bathroom. Clean towels are put in the closet where the clothes are. After a walk or an excursion, you take a shower, forget about it naturally and get wet (!!!) you go into the room to get a towel.... so-so pleasure. Note to the management!
On the day of arrival, we were given a towel with a huge hole!!! How in general could the maid put to the guests what should have been sent to the rags for a long time ... And one day they completely forgot to put towels on us, and we returned to the hotel late in the evening. I had to contact the receptionist on duty, a young guy who brought towels himself and WET ones (apparently he had just taken them off the dryer....). Well, there are no options here....
The breakfasts are very meager . It happened that you came and there was nothing left to eat. They are questioning which room we are from , which is also strange considering that there are not so many guests. For hotel guests, they promise a discount on the restaurant at the hotel when booking. We had dinner at the restaurant, told the waiter about the calculation. So the whole INVESTIGATION began . Prove that this is so. We had to show our booking electronically on the phone. It's a strange situation and very unpleasant, of course.
One of the advantages is the location. Decent repair , original design . The room is well equipped. A refrigerator and a Smeg kettle . The plumbing is working properly. A good bed and a hard mattress. The room was chosen because of the terrace. In the evenings, we admired the flaming towers and sat with a glass of wine.
Special thanks to the driver from the hotel. A very pleasant, polite driver!
Conclusion: not a bad mini-hotel, but the price is too high and the management definitely needs to change to work with the staff!!
We stayed at this hotel during the May holidays of 2024. It is located in the old town, close to all tourist places.
The room is new, everything is clean, there is air conditioning, kettle, hairdryer. Welcome pack: tea, coffee, sugar, bottled water, shampoo, hair conditioner and shower gel. Everything was replenished every day.
There is no window to the street, there is a window to the hall on the floor.
There is a restaurant at the hotel - expensive, but the food is ordinary, nothing special.
An unrealistically cool hotel!)) the main thing is to take a room with a terrace or balcony and not on the top floor, but on the 2nd!!!
If you take it with a large terrace, then everything is OK, but you will look at the backyards of 4 sizens. Although it's very atmospheric)) the flaming towers are visible, the sunsets are magnificent)
Room service is beyond praise!!!
I won't say anything about the food... We ate in local restaurants and fast food (the most delicious food in Baku)
We wrote to several hotels from the Old Town. They answered only here.
The staff is friendly. Russian-speaking. We asked for this particular room and were allowed to check in with a 7-year-old child.
We made a discount, but removed the breakfast;) we are not upset, there is a kitchen. The time difference from home is 3 hours, and by 8 a.m., after breakfast, we were ready to explore the old city.
There is a panoramic rooftop deck where you can have lunch and breakfast with views of the evening city and the towers.
We stayed at the hotel for a week in October 2023 (suite with balcony). A very atmospheric and soulful place in the center of old Baku. I definitely recommend it. Aesthetically pleasing, cozy, delicious. Beauty is at every turn. The room is large, clean, and has everything you need. But a little dark. The staff is amazing. We repeatedly made requests - we brought breakfast to the room, an ironing board, etc. We went to a tasting in the hotel wine cellar and had dinner in the restaurant. The waiters will be in close contact with you all evening, they will tell you what kind of dish and how to use it correctly))) I would like to single out Nikolai Nikolaevich separately.
In general, if you like small hotels with a history and a great aura, then you will like the Art Club.
The hotel is very remarkable, both for its interior and exterior. Next to the amazing balcony with decorative birds, almost everyone who walks around the old town is photographed.
The interior is also impressive, it is clear that the designer has done a good job to harmoniously combine the style of the 18th-century building with modern renovation.
The only (but for me, for example, very significant) disadvantage is the lack of windows in some rooms. This is exactly what I came across (( Unfortunately, they could not change it for me when the hotel was fully loaded. But in fairness, I want to note that the hotel management did everything possible to smooth out my negativity. Therefore, when booking, it is necessary to clarify about the presence of a window.
As for service, hospitality, courtesy, here only the highest ratings. Thanks to all the staff, it was very nice to communicate.
Delicious breakfasts in the style of "a la set of everything-there is a lot of everything", but this is generally accepted in Baku.
Opposite the art gallery, 20 steps from the sidewalk, where everyone is splashing "damn it!" at the filming location of the film "The Diamond Hand", Shirvanshah's Palace is 150 meters away.
In general, the impressions are very good, as well as from the beautiful city of Baku, which I want to return to again and again.
I want to share reviews about this hotel. We lived from 03.01-08.01. Upon check-in, we were kindly greeted at the reception, took the suitcase to the room. The room was a deluxe with a balcony-just super. A large cozy, beautiful view. Cleaning every day. They respond quickly to all requests. We asked for advice on where to go to eat, so that it would be delicious. The girl even wrote us restaurants on a piece of paper and told us the location. We decided to go to the restaurant at the hotel right away: delicious, interesting serving of dishes, help with the choice, but not cheap. But it 's worth it. The hotel is located in the center of the old town, near the maiden tower, many mosques, restaurants, the promenade and everything you want. I definitely recommend this hotel
A wonderful hotel, we stayed in it for 5 days. The staff is just a fairy tale!
The location is excellent!
The rooms are cozy and beautiful, the only moment, most with Windows inside the hotel) but we did not sit in the hotel, there is where to walk and what to see in the city))
The hotel is chic, calm, the location is excellent in the old city of Baku. And what an amazing restaurant. Friendly atmosphere. Art lovers will definitely like it. Special greetings to Nikolai Nikolaevich! The best service in the city. Amazing menu and incredibly delicious cuisine. We will be happy to return ☺️
A gorgeous place, practically a museum-restaurant with household items from the 18th and 19th centuries, the most atmospheric in the Old City, Baku! The waiter Nikolai gave us not just a wonderful lunch, but conducted an excursion, was so hospitable that we did not want to leave the restaurant! Additionally, he treated us to tea, offered assorted jams and fruits! We were absolutely delighted! Thank you to the owners of this fantastic restaurant for the wonderful emotions!
I read a lot of positive reviews — and this became my next mistake. I chose a hotel to travel to celebrate my birthday. One of the advantages is the location of the hotel and the spaciousness of the room. That's absolutely all.
The most "memorable" is below:
1) there was an attempt to book a transfer from the airport to the hotel in advance (!). The cost and other details were sent to me by the hotel when we had already checked into the hotel and spent the day there. That 's how service and care are 😅
2) There were problems with the key card at the hotel on all days of arrival. We constantly had to ask for a room to be opened for us upon returning to the hotel. One day we came back and our room was just open, obviously it happened after cleaning. Having made a remark at the reception about the fact that there are things / money in the room and this is an unacceptable oversight, we did not really receive any apologies and only an answer in the format "Well, it happens"
3) inconsiderate cleaning — for two days we just forgot to put our slippers in the room (and the floors are very cold). Again, at the reception, when asked to give them out, the reaction of the staff left much to be desired
4) there are problems with the sewerage in the hotel, a terrible characteristic smell in the toilet did not leave us all days.
5) it was very cold in the room
6) they asked me to recommend a car rental company where they speak Russian and have good reviews about it. We were given the contacts of the best (according to the hotel staff) company. Again, about the "attentiveness" of the employees — of course, no one spoke Russian, which means they had to speak and sign the lease agreement "blindly"
Reading here about the advantages of the staff, I did not expect that the staff would cause so many problems. In fact, if people who knew the basic basics of service worked at the hotel, would be attentive and empathetic, then all other disadvantages would not be so acutely filled by us. And so ... all this left a mark on the holiday vacation (by the way, when a guest checks in on his birthday, it's a good tone to congratulate him in words; this is the basic point in the customer service)
We will not return to the hotel and will not advise anyone
We advise you to pay attention to the staff, most of the employees are clearly out of place
thank you!!! WE RESTED AT THE HOTEL FOR THE SECOND TIME. And as for the first time, we had a great rest. The rest begins as soon as the threshold of this cozy hotel is stopped. The girls who met us gave us the warmest welcome. We turned to them with any questions and always helped us. I thank every employee of this hotel, because they know how to meet guests and create all the conditions for guests to relax. Always with a smile and participation. I do not know everyone by name, so please excuse me. But here are Aidan and Emina, girls, thank you. YOU DID WELL. I recommend this hotel for a holiday as the location is great, the restaurant is great, the room service is excellent.🌹👋👍
The Art club restaurant has become our most visited place in Baku ) it is like an oasis, envelops in a pleasant atmosphere, caring attitude of the staff, incredibly delicious national cuisine! After long walks around the city, this is the best place for relaxation and gastronomic pleasure. Big greetings to Chef Samir, waiters Ravan and Nikolai! With great respect and gratitude to the founder Elmar Hashimov! Your regular guests, Alexander, Olga, Vika and Makar
amazing hotel. we got a room with a balcony. how nice to sit there in the evening, when the heat has subsided, with a glass of local wine.
the service is excellent, the staff is hospitable, almost everyone speaks Russian.
there is a restaurant, delicious, but it takes a long time to order
Nice hotel bright cozy rooms..
The staff is attentive and will tell you where and how ..
The hotel has a restyk noooo ....I'll say this, you can go to another restaurant it will also be noooo much cheaper
The location is very convenient here you have the metro and the park nearby and restiki all around
The hotel is just super, huge beautiful rooms, the service is beyond praise. The hotel is super cozy and beautiful, the location is perfect - close to everything. The restaurant is incredibly delicious. Thank you very much!
Unfortunately, I couldn't stay at this hotel, but I was a daily guest of the restaurant. Lovely, friendly staff. Especially many thanks to Nikolai Nikolaevich) a man with a big heart)
Ilya is a professional stylist from God, his vocation is to make the world more beautiful. I have been visiting this salon for several years. The administrators are very friendly and will always find a window at a convenient time, today they were treated to champagne and dessert) It is convenient to come by car, there is its own free Parking. Everything is just super!!! I recommend it!!!
Suite room, no refrigerator. The bed is small. It's not worth your money. The restaurant is great, the staff is friendly. Customer orientation at the level.
It was at the end of September. The location is very convenient. The hotel itself is stylish, pleasant to the eye.
The price for the room does not match!a room on the 4th floor is a suite, breakfast is not included,15 tr a day,the terrace itself is not wiped, dust is dirt.
Super great boutique hotel with about 10 rooms in the heart of old Baku. Distinctive features are the highest service, an excellent restaurant downstairs from the owner of the hotel. Don't hesitate to stop here.
