We were here in March 2019... generally fine, the price-quality ratio is adequate, but without frills. The city beach is a 20-minute walk away, but I do not advise swimming there. We took a car and went to different places every day (Coral beach, Dolphin Reef, Observatory), so the "proximity" to the beach is not so important. But there is a convenience store nearby. It resembles the "private sector" in Anapa :)) The owner is adequate, speaks English and Hebrew!
