A wonderful hotel in Schonbrunn. Excellent breakfasts, located next to the metro. Across the street from it are the beautiful Vienna Zoo and Schonbrunn Park.
Mind - blowing desserts , the atmosphere of imperial times , the proximity of the park and the location is excellent ! True, Cleaning is not always on top, but these are small things).
A nice hotel in a beautiful building with an ideal location. The metro station is 100 m away, the Schoenbrunn Palace is 900 m away. But, the rooms are 'tired', wi-fi is constantly turned off, there is no coffee machine in the room, slippers
The hotel is one metro stop away from the Schonbrun Palace Ensemble.
But it is from this side that it is closer to the entrance to the zoo.
The hotel itself, the former pompous residence of Franz Josef, left me confused.
Positioned as a 4*, you might feel it a bit in the lobby. Arriving on the floor (I stayed at 1m) takes you into the world of run-down medium-sized hotels - a strong smell of air freshener hits your nose on the floor, which does not interrupt the foul-smelling and worn carpet in the corridors. The rooms are shabby, thoroughly tired and require at least cosmetic repairs. The light in the rooms is dim. What I received was absolutely not consistent with the photos that I saw on the site.
The hotel positions itself as the next concept of proper and healthy sleep.
But you won't be able to sleep in it.
Of course, there are roll shutters on the bedside table next to the bed - an excellent (I'm not kidding) brochure on the rules of healthy sleep, there is the possibility of ordering pillows from the menu and even a sticker on the bathroom mirror with a recommendation to soar your feet or put on socks for a good night's sleep.
But all this will not help: the room is covered with parquet. The sounds of furniture being moved around the neighborhood are perfectly audible. Cardboard walls will help you listen to the conversation of the neighbor behind the wall. The maids' carts rumble by. There's a decent gap under the front door.
The cleaning is shoddy: the refugees don't bother to work: The floors are not washed or even swept. The dishes are not washed during cleaning, the Mini-bar and tea station are not bad in terms of assortment, but to replenish them, you need to call the reception every single day. A careless attitude is tiring. You will not find complimentary water here.
There are no cosmetics in the bathroom except for a bottle of shampoo/conditioner/soap/shoe cream screwed to the wall.
Calling a taxi is a problem. For an early departure, I clarified at the reception- the answer was: it will turn out 50/50. We did not undertake to book in advance
In general, if you do not bother, a spacious room next to the palace for 250 € can quite suit unpretentious citizens
Nice staff, great room. Clear. Nicely. The breakfasts are wonderful: very, very, large selection (buffet). Convenient location. The metro is nearby, the zoo and the Schoenbrunn Palace are nearby. Very nice surroundings, for lovers of urban walks, despite the fact that it is not the center. There are places to sit (cafes and restaurants). There is also a church nearby. Very beautiful. Keep in mind if you don't plan to get up early :) it was just to our advantage, the ringing of the bells was very invigorating :)
We stayed at the hotel in the summer of 2019. Very convenient location - metro, tram, buses. The beautiful Schoenbrunn Palace and Park.
A charming courtyard, silence, a fountain. Beauty, I liked it

The rooms are small, but the common rooms, the restaurant, the courtyard are gorgeous. You feel like living in a palace. Breakfast for 5*.
Underground parking is expensive, but we found several free parking spaces in the neighboring streets
An amazing place! The hotel is located in the former residence of Emperor Franz Joseph! Famous people, outstanding personalities and we stayed in this historical place.
