The hotel is located on a spit, the territory is good, especially considering that you can freely walk around the territory of the neighboring hotel (avantara). There are good views. There are strong waves on the ocean, there is always a red flag and the guards make sure that they do not swim often. We went into the ocean to dig in the rocks. Since the waves are strong, the color of the water is not very beautiful (the sand is constantly rising). The sand on the beach is large, the entrance to the ocean is not shallow. We had breakfasts and dinners, but other guests said that there are different types of meals in this hotel (we met with all inclusive and only with breakfast). There are buffets for breakfast and dinner. The food is 3+, there is always something to choose from, but without frills. Drinks for dinner are all paid except water, plus they include a tip of 20%. There is a gym and a children's room on site (on the territory of the neighboring hotel). We went both ways. I liked it there.
There is a supermarket 1.5 km from the hotel, and it takes 15-20 minutes on foot. There is a choice, but you can't walk around, there is a separate alcohol store in the same supermarket. Food prices are higher than in Russia. They also take you by tuk tuk to the shops from the hotel (focus on the price of 100 rupees per 1 km, calmly bargain up to this cost). There is fast food nearby (KVS, pizza hut, domino's pizza).
There are restaurants near the hotels (red lobster and georgie): nothing special, in general you can eat, the quality and taste of the food is about the same as the type of restaurants)

We stayed at this hotel in February. Wonderful staff, polite, kind, smiling, always ready to help. If you have any questions, you can safely contact the staff, especially Praneeth and Kanishka have always helped us out. The cuisine is varied and varied. The rooms are clean. The view from the balcony is amazing. The ocean is roaring, birds are singing, chipmunks are jumping around.

There are 2 hotels on site - 4 🌟 and 5🌟. I had a rest in the four. Beautiful green area, good location, responsive and caring staff. They are greeted with a smile and a ritual. When checking in, I did not like the room, or rather the view from the window. Without any problems, the additional fees were changed and even given a choice. The tour was with breakfast, which is optimal, since the kitchen in the hotel is not wow. I ate in local cafes, it was very tasty.
On the first day I met Sunny, a very respectable local resident, took me everywhere on a tuk tuk for adequate money, always on time and with care. I recommend it!
I liked the hotel, of course the beach is dirty and the waves. I went swimming in Bentota. But overall, the impressions are positive 👍🏻

The hotel is generally good for Sri Lanka. The territory is beautiful, the rooms are small in my opinion, the balcony is too, but everything is clean, cleaned. The food is good. The beach is absolutely unsuitable and you need to understand this if you want a beautiful ocean and swim, here it is brown and with a wave that does not even allow you to go there.

Excellent hotel, the area glows beautifully in the evening
There is a big disadvantage - this is the sea, a sharp descent and unpleasant coarse sand of orange color. We didn't really swim there , we went to Bentota beach , you can surf there.
The rooms are all the same, everything is fine)
There is a Red lobster cafe next to the hotel, we recommend eating seafood there

We've been here since 01/19/2025.The hotel is declared 4 stars, I will try to attach a photo, see for yourself.Dirty old hair dryer,dirty rusty refrigerator,dirty fan..The room with the neighbors is connected by a simple old wooden door and we heard sneezing there and..))We connected two mattresses, they keep moving apart..There is no beach (it's deep and the waves are huge, there are no breakwaters, there are no lifeguards)but we knew that, and we went to Bentota, no problem.But!Sick, hungry dogs on the beach who crawl under the sunbed while you decide to lie down at least without swimming... they were forbidden to feed them, I tried.They don't treat, they don't expel, but they don't feed, dogs are walking corpses, they are animals!!!How is that possible!The mood was spoiled, tourists were forbidden to feed them....I've never seen such a large number of hungry sick dogs on beaches anywhere else..Treat them, feed them, and let them run around happy and healthy, not walking corpses!I would like to see the managers of this hotel!The tuk tukers are sitting on the beach in the morning and waiting for you..It is not possible to call a taxi to the hotel via the app (it is three times more profitable this way)The tuk tukers disperse them, cut them off and yell at the taxi drivers!What a level, and next to the premium hotel for a minute, where tours from 500 tons are combined with the territory of Avani..The food is for 4, there is almost no seafood and they are quickly disassembled (shrimp).And the most interesting thing is that we paid 267 tons for the tour for 9 days with breakfast and dinner, so the drinks are paid!Water is poured for free at dinner, but it is not possible to drink it, it smells of chlorine, as if from a tap.The pool is muddy, and I still haven't decided to swim there.…Tip, take hotels in Bentota, even though the beach is cool and we ate in a cafe there, it's delicious.

We were in November 2024. I liked the hotel, the staff was smiling, friendly, if something was needed, all requests were immediately fulfilled, well done, in a word, they know their job. Great hotel, polite staff. The only downside is that there is a river flowing into the ocean nearby, because of this you will not see the normal color, the water is dirty, they swim in the pool. The place is very picturesque and sparsely populated. Locals like to rent part of the territory and hold their weddings - with songs and dances, very beautiful and colorful, like in Indian films). The food is excellent, the only thing is two varieties of tea bags for breakfast and this is on the island of Ceylon!

The place is good, near the beach (not the best, but not bad). But the room is full of tiny ants. The staff, especially the lower ones, speak English mediocre.
It takes about an hour and a half to get to Colombo by car.
