I visited the mosque in Avsallar — and, to be honest, it is not just a building for prayer, it is a real architectural oasis of tranquility and spiritual harmony. From the outside, it's like being in a fairy tale "One Thousand and One Nights": slender minarets, neat mosaics, refined shapes. And inside, it feels like someone has pressed "pause" on the hustle and bustle of the world.
It's very clean and tidy, and there's a sense of respect for traditions and people. The local parishioners are polite and hospitable, even a tourist like me was greeted like a family, although I came not so much to pray as to soak up the atmosphere.
By the way, the muezzin here is just the voice of an angel! After such an azan, I want to be better, kinder, and, to be honest, even less argumentative in the comments on YouTube.
I definitely recommend stopping by, even if you're just walking around Avsallar — you'll find silence, inspiration, and maybe a little inner zen here.
