This is not a bus station, it's a collection of private cabbies and obscure minibuses, all complemented by a bunch of stray dogs. If possible, look for detours, use the railway.
P.S. Yandex maps showed routes to Gagra departing every 15 minutes, in practice these turned out to be vague minibuses with a marker painted on the windshield. You should not go there with children in a stroller and suitcases.
The time is 19.19 hours. 09/28/2024
The driver is insane. Drives a car full of Potatoes.
People are Potatoes.
All Russians, and all are silent. They are afraid to say something to the Driver. He even lit a cigarette for no one and everyone is silent.
The route of the Pitsunda of Dogs. Maybe someone will hear and try to do something about it without limit.
Help solve the Yandex issue.
If you take a minibus, it's a big risk to your life. They drive like in Formula 1. Drivers are often stoned. When I was driving, I slept and woke up from the wild scream of horror of other passengers in anticipation of death.
There is no train station for three, there is NO bus schedule! And there are not always buses at all, minibuses work mainly, few people take passengers during the season, it's good that they agree to take minibuses to New Athos or Gudauta. And yes, the fare is slightly overpriced!!!!

You can quickly leave the Psou bus station to almost any locality in the Republic of Abkhazia (every ~ 15 minutes a minibus departs to Gagry, to New Athos, to Sukhum). You can also take a taxi from here.
There is a queue, of course, we went to Abkhazia at night in an hour, back in 1.5 hours. But remembering the sea in Abkhazia is as clear as a tear, the queue is worth it.
We quickly found a minibus to Sukhum - 350 rubles per person plus 50 luggage. We also drove back. Taxis are VERY expensive. There are minibuses to Gagra, Pitsunda, New Athos, etc. There is a breeding person who shows the necessary transport.
Well, the station, what can I say, is a good store with a decent assortment of Turkish preserves and Abkhazian tobacco, well, coffee on the sand, in a nearby shop, alcohol is cheap and not problematic by sample.

The most negative place is Abkhazia!
Dirty, noisy, someone is always swearing!
After 20.00, minibuses inflate the price as they want (500-to Gagra!, and in Gagra they already say 600, if given with change!), some minibus drivers with signs of intoxication and fumes. They're driving like the last time.
If you are not traveling alone, it is better to call a taxi!
Today, 09/23/23 at 09.20 we crossed the border, reached the bus station, where an Abkhazian with a badge "dispatcher" directed us to a white minibus with g/n 788 (PSOU - Pitsunda route). We got on this minibus with my wife. There were 7 more people inside. They waited for 20 minutes, the driver did not show up. The woman in the back reported that she had been waiting for an hour with a small child. Fellow travelers offered to chip in a taxi and take a ride. When trying to find a taxi for 4 to Pitsunda, I was literally attacked by a minibus driver (as I understood it due to the fact that I beat off his clients, who with children have to wait for hours for the master's departure). An angry driver in a dark blue T-shirt grabbed my backpack and tried to pull me behind a gazelle. Since he couldn't do it, he kicked me hard on the thigh. "Thank you" for the hospitality. We were forced to abandon the trip to Abkhazia and we will not recommend "such rudeness and lack of culture" to any of our numerous relatives and friends. Beware of this gazelist, he is absolutely inadequate.
Minibuses run according to the filling - you can wait an hour or even more if there are no people, the bus runs according to the schedule but it is impossible to find it. Different minibuses to the same place may have different prices
Buses are full bottom. Pay special attention to the social route of large long buses. Inside, everything is stripped and spat on in the literal sense, they hurried out immediately. Instead, there are minibuses in which you will sit until you are fully filled, maybe a couple of hours, they can promise to go in 15-20 minutes, as an option to say that we will all chip in for a taxi and go right away, there is an option to leave right away, you will sit in silence. The scheme at the bus station has been worked out, and no one will take you any other way!
Try to figure out your route in advance! There are touts who get into the right minibus. The cost is fixed, there is an additional charge for luggage. Calculation of the output.
Gagra is about 250 rubles away (with luggage).
Taxi drivers are infuriating, they almost force them into the car where there are already no seats, and ask for 300 per person, if you go alone, then it's fine, and if you go with your family, it's better to use Yandex taxi, for the price for 4 people you could get to the airport by business:)
Thank God not everyone there is like that, if and 0 good people;)
Be careful with taxi drivers, when you leave the border post, you are immediately surrounded by taxi drivers and after the words "don't", threats immediately arrive and it becomes not pleasant
The gateway to fairyland. There is enough transport, there are no queues, the service is fast. Nothing overshadows the feeling of the beginning of the holiday and the long-awaited journey. The prices for travel are pleasantly surprising. Have a good trip!
From this bus station you can go anywhere in Abkhazia and for a cheap price, immediately at the entrance you are surrounded by many taxi drivers who offer to take you wherever you want, you can always agree on the price
This is not a bus station, this is an asphalted site in a gypsy village... Mess and chaos reigns everywhere. It's better not to ask the locals anything, because they immediately start to fool around and figure out how to rip off coins from you, and there's nowhere else to get more information... You have to rely only on luck. By the way, the RFIA's cellular networks are already switching to roaming mode here and shut down if you do not have 1000 re in your account, which may be enough until the evening... In short, your journey through Abkhazia begins with a complete thrash. Be careful and careful!
You can go where you need to - by minibus or with a private car at reasonable prices. But some shuttle bus drivers work very strangely. Others have been waiting for passengers to complete the bus for too long. During this time, some passengers prefer to choose another way to get to the right place. And it all starts over again. Greed is a bad quality.
I did not observe buses , from the word in general , very annoying taxi drivers , after the message to their mountains they muttered to themselves for a long time, but somewhere a kilometer from the station I finally found Kin dza dza👍
On January 4, at 15.00, we passed customs, we wanted to go to Gagra for a couple of hours, take a walk.
The man at the entrance to the station clarified where we were and sent us to the bus. about half an hour before the bus filled up, but the driver did not come in any way and we, a company of 6 people, decided to get out and change into a taxi, because we sat for an hour and did not understand what we did not want to wait. Then a full circus began, bus drivers and taxi drivers staged a skirmish, saying that taxi drivers beat off customers. As a result, we sat in a taxi for another half hour while they sorted it out.
But the problem of going back is even more fun - after 18.00 there were no buses at all, no taxi drivers either, there is no connection. We voted at the bus stop, picked up the bomb, took it cheaper than the bus drivers at the station offered. By the way, prices for the beginning of January to Gagra:
Bus - 150 per person
Taxi - 1300 per bus for 6 people
Bombed - 800 for a bus for 6 people
And why do people go to Africa to visit the aborigines... It's closer here. And beggars and gypsies and children of the mountains! Lawlessness rules... Therefore, the beaches of Adler and Sochi are crowded.. And Abkhazia is empty.
The bus station is something...It feels like I got to Pripyat and not Abkhazia, "scoop", ruins, graffiti, everything is dying or withering, well, and every corner stinks of urine. And all this against the backdrop of a beautiful mountain landscape! No one from the authorities wants to develop infrastructure, or at least maintain a decent appearance. And the price tag for services is already well, almost "Sochi"! Although, as for me, a vacation in Abkhazia may and even somewhere should be more expensive than Sochi! What is the most beautiful nature, unique places, architecture, history, calm and warm sea... well, it's not for nothing that the "first persons" of Soviet times had their residences here in these places. Of course, you can throw everything at the "capriciousness" of the Republic, sanctions, etc., but all this is nonsense and excuses! There would be a desire and desire of the authorities for development, less greed for profit, well, local people will become kinder, at least to vacationers. In the meantime, my personal opinion is that Abkhazia is at most a weekend in the most beautiful and unique places for a couple of days, where the Russian service is not intrusive, with a partially annoying and not particularly cultured local population.
You can wait a long time for departure, usually until they dial the full number and leave. You can wait 2 hours in the morning in winter. If you need to get to Sukhum early in the morning, then at 7:00 there is a bus to gal, only it runs according to the schedule. At the same time, when entering the station, it must be said that you are exactly in the gal. If you say to Sukhum, they will put you on a bus to Sukhum and you will not be able to sit in it until 10 a.m.
Alas... It's dirty. Annoying and boorish taxi drivers.. Car drivers. Broken gazelles and buses. Stalls, with sellers, that you can run short.. Cheat. We hope that someday they will put things in order there.
You can leave, but you need to clearly understand where, and get on a regular bus, it goes a little slower but 2 times cheaper and dials two to three times faster than minibuses.
Summer 2022. The price of a minibus to Gagra is 200 rubles per person. Taxi 1000 rubles. You can go 20 minutes without waiting and vote on the highway and most likely you will leave in 5 minutes.
If you are eating with a couple and a company, then count and Immediately say the total amount at the rate of 200 rubles.. per person.
It is important to have small cash. There may be problems with the delivery.
A picturesque place. And frankly speaking, it causes more negative impressions and emotions. Most of the drivers have unfriendly faces and looks. It doesn't even feel right. The service is too intrusive. You still need to manage to use buses, since absolutely nothing is clear. Where and who is going, from where.. Guess for yourself. The help window didn't help much with that. You can use private services and take a taxi. But here, too, as luck would have it.
We came across mostly friendly drivers, talkative.
Among the advantages: convenient location. We crossed the border and here it is, please.
Quite an ordinary bus station. One of the disadvantages is the lack of rain shelters. Minibuses stand spontaneously, but all are equipped with signs. Minibus drivers help you navigate. There are also taxi drivers, but their price tag is noticeably higher. There are many shops around.
You cross the border and go to the minibus. They immediately ask where and show which one to sit in. As soon as we get full, we won't wait long. The minibus stank of gasoline, we reached Gagra in 20 minutes.
You can wait an hour for the minibus to pick up and go. If it is possible to travel on several routes, it is not known which of them will go first. In general, it's a complete mess.

Everything is spontaneous and colorful. But people will explain everything and there are no problems with buses.
There are many minibuses to all cities of Abkhazia, prices are fixed (at least this year). Sometimes you have to wait a long time until the download is fully loaded.
Dirty, annoying taxi drivers.. Minibuses leave as they fill up, you can leave in 5 minutes, you can in an hour. Prices for minibuses are available (200-250r to Sukhum, Pitsunda)

It is better to find out in advance which directions are suitable for you) Otherwise, they can take a minibus with the endpoint that you need, they can dial for half an hour, when you could take a minibus with another endpoint, but which passes through your point.
Well, taxi drivers are very annoying)
There are a lot of minibuses, but we waited 30 minutes to get to Tsandripsh (100₽), they leave according to occupancy, so if you need to go faster, then a taxi is better.
The fact that after crossing the border you get to the bus station is of course fine, but no one canceled the local flavor))) A taxi to Pitsunda is 2000 rubles, a minibus is 350 rubles from the face, although you can wait for its departure until you turn blue, until it is full...
The most important thing is that duty free only works on departure from Abkhazia))). In general, there are a lot of minibuses, as well as taxis. The minibus to Pitsunda is 300 rubles. A taxi can be traded for 1000
This is some kind of madhouse, not a bus station. Nothing is clear. There is no bus schedule. They go as soon as they fill up. There is a special person who distributes people on buses))) the Stone Age in a separate place)
As soon as you pass the border and find yourself here, choose a minibus with a stencil in your direction, keep in mind that the direction of the most populated minibus "Sukhum" is suitable for Gagra and Gadauta and Athos, and with a transfer in Gagra and for Pitsunda. However, minibuses usually leave on filling, so look towards the departure of regular buses, they run according to the schedule and you can find out the departure time from the driver. Buses are cheaper, but travel slower.
