P.S. Yandex maps showed routes to Gagra departing every 15 minutes, in practice these turned out to be vague minibuses with a marker painted on the windshield. You should not go there with children in a stroller and suitcases.

You can quickly leave the Psou bus station to almost any locality in the Republic of Abkhazia (every ~ 15 minutes a minibus departs to Gagry, to New Athos, to Sukhum). You can also take a taxi from here.

After 20.00, minibuses inflate the price as they want (500-to Gagra!, and in Gagra they already say 600, if given with change!), some minibus drivers with signs of intoxication and fumes. They're driving like the last time.

Today, 09/23/23 at 09.20 we crossed the border, reached the bus station, where an Abkhazian with a badge "dispatcher" directed us to a white minibus with g/n 788 (PSOU - Pitsunda route). We got on this minibus with my wife. There were 7 more people inside. They waited for 20 minutes, the driver did not show up. The woman in the back reported that she had been waiting for an hour with a small child. Fellow travelers offered to chip in a taxi and take a ride. When trying to find a taxi for 4 to Pitsunda, I was literally attacked by a minibus driver (as I understood it due to the fact that I beat off his clients, who with children have to wait for hours for the master's departure). An angry driver in a dark blue T-shirt grabbed my backpack and tried to pull me behind a gazelle. Since he couldn't do it, he kicked me hard on the thigh. "Thank you" for the hospitality. We were forced to abandon the trip to Abkhazia and we will not recommend "such rudeness and lack of culture" to any of our numerous relatives and friends. Beware of this gazelist, he is absolutely inadequate.

Taxi drivers are infuriating, they almost force them into the car where there are already no seats, and ask for 300 per person, if you go alone, then it's fine, and if you go with your family, it's better to use Yandex taxi, for the price for 4 people you could get to the airport by business:)

On January 4, at 15.00, we passed customs, we wanted to go to Gagra for a couple of hours, take a walk.
The man at the entrance to the station clarified where we were and sent us to the bus. about half an hour before the bus filled up, but the driver did not come in any way and we, a company of 6 people, decided to get out and change into a taxi, because we sat for an hour and did not understand what we did not want to wait. Then a full circus began, bus drivers and taxi drivers staged a skirmish, saying that taxi drivers beat off customers. As a result, we sat in a taxi for another half hour while they sorted it out.
But the problem of going back is even more fun - after 18.00 there were no buses at all, no taxi drivers either, there is no connection. We voted at the bus stop, picked up the bomb, took it cheaper than the bus drivers at the station offered. By the way, prices for the beginning of January to Gagra:
Bus - 150 per person
Taxi - 1300 per bus for 6 people

The bus station is something...It feels like I got to Pripyat and not Abkhazia, "scoop", ruins, graffiti, everything is dying or withering, well, and every corner stinks of urine. And all this against the backdrop of a beautiful mountain landscape! No one from the authorities wants to develop infrastructure, or at least maintain a decent appearance. And the price tag for services is already well, almost "Sochi"! Although, as for me, a vacation in Abkhazia may and even somewhere should be more expensive than Sochi! What is the most beautiful nature, unique places, architecture, history, calm and warm sea... well, it's not for nothing that the "first persons" of Soviet times had their residences here in these places. Of course, you can throw everything at the "capriciousness" of the Republic, sanctions, etc., but all this is nonsense and excuses! There would be a desire and desire of the authorities for development, less greed for profit, well, local people will become kinder, at least to vacationers. In the meantime, my personal opinion is that Abkhazia is at most a weekend in the most beautiful and unique places for a couple of days, where the Russian service is not intrusive, with a partially annoying and not particularly cultured local population.
