When we arrived, the entrance was closed. We stood at the gate, a guard came up and let us in. We enjoyed walking around the monastery, where we met a peacock, turtles, geese and goats)) There were no people except the guard.
It's an amazing place. Its own microclimate, like an oasis in the desert. It is located on the upper part of the island.I highly recommend visiting, especially since the entrance is free.
On the highest mountain of the island there is the most famous monastery in the Prince Islands, because of which US President Bill Clinton threw his pipe, Monica Lewinsky and himself blew something to the President of Turkey so that they would leave the monastery and not go to the monastery except on horses.
