The place is magical. Besides Azerbaijani, there are halls with books in Russian and English (and, it seems, Turkish). Spacious space, excellent air conditioning system. There are few books in different sections: just a little bit and for every taste. Inside there is a coworking space, a small library and a souvenir shop with relatively affordable prices (I compare it with the shops at the Temple of Fire and in the Carpet Museum).
An amazing place! Beautiful, interesting, thoughtful! The children's area is simply gorgeous - pillows, poufs, everything to make children feel comfortable! There are small niches around the perimeter of the second floor where you can comfortably sit and read! This is really a place that awakens the desire to read books!
A wonderful store, a lot of books in Russian, including children's books. There is a good selection of books in the psychology department, I even found the diary of Mikhail Saidov's effectiveness. The store looks like a Hogwarts library. Classics and psychology books are 200-300 rubles more expensive than in Moscow. If I forgot a book on vacation, it is quite tolerable to buy it here on the spot. The children's department is wonderful, there are a lot of books, different publishers
Delight! We need such places in every Russian city! It's all about the love of books, comfortable sofas, pillows, high shelves, a corner for lectures, a corner for children. And there is a large selection of postcards if you want to send something home to Russia. If you are one of those who believes that a book is the best gift, then this is the place for you. It's not better to find it.
A wonderful and atmospheric place where you can not only buy, but also enjoy reading books anywhere… There are many places adapted for quiet reading, a pleasant atmosphere. A place of rest for the soul and new sensations)
The place is great. Among other things, I would like to mention a small department with souvenirs "Baku". You can endlessly walk along the shopping streets and the Old Town, but you must come here, and you will certainly find THAT VERY souvenir, high-quality, authentic, with flavor, for a very long memory.
Great location!
As it turned out, not all locals know about this Center.
An atmospheric, cozy place for studying, reading and/or buying books, Baku souvenirs.
By order of a friend, I found an excellent selection of brands there
Wonderful coffee shop on the 1st floor
The coffee is wonderful, my daughter savored cocoa with the air of a connoisseur, and I saw that she liked it. A wonderful dessert. A very calm atmosphere: you climb to the second floor and read, study — everything is fine. Quiet visitors are your reward!
But this, ladies and gentlemen, is only with your book: there is nothing to buy in the store. There are no good books, or almost none. There is no question of buying a book here (if you care about what you read), and then reading the first pages of it over a cup of tea or coffee.
It's a very atmospheric place. The place of presentation of new books and literary events. The Azerbaijani interior, small exhibitions and many different books. It's crowded! There is a wonderful cafe at the bottom. I recommend
It's a very interesting place. If you are a book lover, then you are definitely here. The books are sold in different languages Azerbaijani Russian English. It's worth coming here just to admire this beauty. There are cafes and souvenirs. There are enough books in Russian. I won't say it's cheap, but the prices are reasonable.
A modern store with a coffee shop and a place to buy postcards and interesting souvenirs! But they went to the nearest mailbox to drop it! Everything came through and quickly enough)
A wonderful store! I would like to see such places in Moscow
it is very beautiful and cozy, a large selection of books. There is a cafe downstairs, and there is a whole lounge upstairs where you can read a book and work
Oh, it's a beautiful place! It's a shame that second-hand books, mainly for reading in the hall, cannot be bought. But the store is beautiful and atmospheric! I recommend it for a visit!
Any cozy space in the center of Baku where you can work quietly and read various literature (there is quite a lot of it in Russian, as well as in other languages). I wrote my thesis here and would come here again and again, but unfortunately, I came as a tourist to this wonderful city.
This is such an atmospheric place that it is one of the brightest impressions of Baku. Come on!!! Be sure to wander and look through the books. Or even just sit in these cozy interiors. And of course a cup of coffee in a cafe.
The place is beautiful, but it does not fulfill its function. I expected that the book center in Baku would be a place where you can buy any book or textbook, but this is another place for a tick and "dust in the eyes". There is a lot of space, there are not many books, another meal at the first stage, as if people can't without food. Put another roaster on the second floor, instead of those 4 single shelves with books.
I've been going here for a long time: all my friends are delighted: one buys scarce books in English for her student daughters, the other likes to meet friends there for a cup of coffee ...
And the other day I saw for myself: this is a truly unique place in Baku, where there is a special atmosphere, where you can get acquainted with new books, meet friends, and even buy a fashionable outfit on occasion. I regret that I didn't look here earlier: I missed a lot of interesting meetings that were held here. I hope to catch up. Many thanks to the city authorities and the management of the book center!
A big beautiful bookstore. There is a cafe on the ground floor, the prices seemed high to us. 4.6 manat tea and 8 manat piece of cake. Plus, it's very stuffy. The second floor is fresher, there are many areas where you can read or work with a laptop
A very colorful store, there is a place to read books. There is also a coffee shop inside, you can hold a meeting in a pleasant atmosphere. In general, it seemed to me that this is not a bookstore, but more of a tourist place.
For me, this is one of the "most-most" places in Baku.
Thoughtful, stylish, public space. You can take a lot of interesting books and read, work, come here with children, just drink delicious coffee and buy a souvenir.
A beautiful place, but constant nagging from the guards, so do not do it, you do not need to, they do not tolerate any criticism, although I see that most of the visitors do this, but the phrase these are children And so on sounds very strange
A place where there are more prohibitions than in prison. I came with a friend. Both guards with lowered masks and the words "You are forbidden to lower the mask" attacked at the entrance. At the entrance, they illegally demand to put things in lockers, otherwise: "something is forbidden." (they are not responsible for the loss or theft of your belongings) If you hold a book in your hands for more than 5 minutes, then a girl will come up and "sweetly" remind you: "something is forbidden." In general, this phrase of violators is "prohibited" without explanation is a very common phenomenon here. Get out your phone and take a photo - You have scared the guard and he is already running to you with the phrase "it is impossible, it is forbidden". Needless to say, reading in a hot room, with a distance of 5-20 meters and at the same time being in a mask is stupid and uncomfortable. However, a guard suffering from idleness is already boldly running to you, who, for self-affirmation in front of a colleague, will force you to put on a mask, significantly seasoning his speech: "it is forbidden, it is impossible." There are even sofas and chairs on which it is "impossible, forbidden" to sit down. I am very sorry that such a cozy institution has been turned into another place where I do not want to return.
