I'm from Russia. I wanted to open a debit card in Kazakhstan. Before coming, I spent a lot of time chatting with the support service of this bank. I clarified several times what was needed to open an account, personal presence was mandatory. Having all the necessary documents in hand, I came to this department in the morning. I thought one of the bank's employees would register me. But instead, the employee just gave me a QR code link from which I can apply to open an account from my phone. Actually, for this it was necessary to come to another country, rent an apartment, come to the bank - in order to take a picture on the phone. Well, then more. During the application process, I took a picture of my passport and verified my identity with a selfie. The system checked the documents and confirmed that they had been successfully verified. Next, he asks me to enter the address, and this is the final stage after which the system without thinking twice replied that my application was rejected due to an internal check of the bank. That's basically it. The staff is there only for beauty, the mobile version of the site rules there. Neither the consultant, the manager, nor the support service helped me. No one told me the reason.
