This is a magical place of power and a temple of female happiness, where all dreams come true! Tested on yourself! It's like it's on the Edge of the World, a very energetically powerful place! At least once, but it is important to visit it for every person who is vacationing in Abkhazia.
You can talk about the Bedia Cathedral for hours. I've been there 5 or 6 times already. Great view around. In general, it was a tolerable road from the highway, but we were driving a crossover. To be honest, I didn't understand. Whether they started the restaurant or not, there were scaffolding inside and the dome was boarded up from the inside with boards. The tent behind the temple was removed, some of the relic stones with ornaments were rather removed. Part of it remained under the sky. There are very few tourists and pilgrims. In fact, you will be alone. A must-visit. You'll like it.
Very impressive, especially the views around. The locals of the village are very sociable, when we were the temple was closed, but a young shepherd opened the sheep to us, led us inside, gave candles, told us about the temple.
The road through Tkuarchal. Look carefully at the navigator, at the entrance it lays the road not to the temple, but to the foot of the mountain! Everyone turns the wrong way in the village itself and wanders in a circle.
We went to the temple in April 2022 on our own in a passenger car, the navigator builds a route to the point on the right, but to get to the Volga you need to go upstairs and then you will get right to the goal. The road is very bad from the highway, 14 km over rocks and slides, it is possible to drive a car, but it is too late to leave the wheels, or you need to drive 3 km / h, but the journey will be about 1.5 hours. After overcoming this road to the temple, go uphill, but also a low car will cling strongly. A SUV or jeep/UAZ will pass the road well.
The temple itself is beautiful! There are mountains and the beauty of nature around. The view is gorgeous, you can go crazy at sunset. You can have a picnic, food shopping, etc. - you won't find anything there.
A beautiful place on the way to Tkuarchal. The temple is being rebuilt, it is dilapidated, but even in this state it is very interesting. I recommend you to visit
Oh, this place is some kind of godsend. I don't want to leave. I imagined how much he had been hammered for over the centuries. How many people were praying, begging, crying here…
The road is good, easy to get to! You need to visit if you are not a mattress-beach tourist)
The place is amazing in its beauty!!! The 10th century temple, the Caucasus Mountains, the air - all this creates a unique atmosphere of this place. Tsar Bagrat could not have found a better place for his residence. It is necessary to visit, it is better individually, since you do not want to leave there.

A very beautiful place. From the point of view of excursion content, of course, it is weak.
But it's worth visiting for the views.
I really hope the temple will be restored soon.
I recommend it to all travelers. An ancient temple from which a stunning view opens to all sides of the world. One of the important places in Abkhazia to visit.
Stunning views, nature, air... Extraordinary powerful energy, indescribable sensations. Words cannot describe or convey. You need to be there and feel it on your own skin. Agubedia, I'll be back.
The place is super! When I was here, the locals performed a ritual of exorcism from a woman before the wedding (a local resident told). It was breathtaking, like in a movie. I'm thrilled!
Oh....I wanted to get there and drive a car...I don't recommend it...but still, I will say that I did not regret it, even though I flew into car repairs...this is the beauty in the mountains, the silence is mesmerizing, you will not see this anywhere else. If you are vacationing in Abkhazia and you have an SUV, be sure to visit this place!

An interesting historical place. But it is for fans of such places with ancient temples, there is not much else to see there.
It is a divinely beautiful place. A must-visit. And the road to it is also interesting, the people in the villages along the way are very good. We chatted with everyone.
