Attention state EMPLOYEES studying or planning to study at the IEF. I just want to warn you that your application for distribution will not be approved and will be distributed to a state enterprise with a salary of 1000 BEL. rubles before taxes. Whatever cool application you bring for distribution, let it be a company from the CFT that will hire you as a Project Manager, where you can apply the knowledge you have gained, use a foreign language that has been taught for so long in international management. No, you will become an economist for a ridiculous salary, you will not learn anything new in two years of working out and you will use excel and word at a level below the school level. Think about it, it's not too late to pick up the docks and transfer to another university in the capital. Because such jokes with a distribution are only for us.
Good afternoon.
My son studied at this institution.
A good educational institution. I would like to express my gratitude to the university administration for the very organized work on settling into dormitories and in general for everything related to this. Everything is set up, organized, and there is a clear schedule of actions on time. If any unforeseen situations arise, they will not give up and help you figure it out. The life of the students is well organized. Communicating with parents from other institutions, I was simply amazed at how many problems and worries BSTU took off my shoulders. Many thanks to the university.
The university is excellent, I'm already starting my 2nd year and I don't regret at all that I entered here. My second home, even though I'm from Minsk)) The teachers are generally normal. The dean's office at my faculty (PiM) is normal: these are the people who clearly love students)) They have never reproached us for anything, but, on the contrary, they believe in us that we are the best! 4 stars, because there is one minus — 1 building is always closed to the entrance from the street, except for the days of the CE/CT at the university.
I warn all applicants who want or are forced to enroll in this educational institution, especially at the Faculty of Economics, enroll here only as a last resort!
I studied at the Faculty of Engineering and Economics, but when exchanging impressions between students from other faculties, the same problems sounded:
1) Firstly, the training programs at BSTU are very outdated. Many subjects do not correspond to the specialty. When studying the specialties "Marketing", "Management" and "Economics and Management", you are required to study the theoretical foundations of chemistry (there are topics thermodynamics and organic chemistry) and human life safety (similar to occupational safety, radiation, wiring, workshop lighting, various state standards in industrial safety, etc.). Moreover, these subjects were extremely difficult to pass and took up a huge part of the time from the overall learning process. The discipline "Information Technology" is an example of an outdated program. Here, they teach how to work in various computer programs at lectures on slides, provided that a summary is required. The relevance of the programs is out of the question. Okay, Word, Excel and Access (which are studied at school), but some Mathcad? In 2024? It's too much. And this situation is not only with the discipline of "Information Technology". By the way, subjects related to economics and basic subjects for higher education (logic, philosophy, sociology, political science) are taught here at a good level.
2) Students are treated not as clients, but as subordinates. The student pays 4,700 Belarusian rubles a year and receives orders and threats in response. More than once, the whole group of us was forcibly sent to an event, threatening disciplinary action and a conversation with the dean. It doesn't matter that a student has a job, family, friends, everyone has to come to a concert, a parade, a movie. Clean-up days are also organized, where the whole group of us worked as janitors for free. Once, even the group was removed from classes (from four pairs, that is, for 5-6 hours) in order for students to wash the floors from construction dust in the dormitory, where repairs had just been completed. Someone got hurt, someone started having asthma attacks... They sent everyone: paying for tuition and state employees living in a hostel and renting their apartment.
3) In order to receive a dormitory with a 100% probability for the next year, a student must work for the university or for vacancies from the student council for free (monthly salaries: from 500 to 1000 rubles, these are cleaners, packers, janitors). And this is despite the fact that there is no competition for a place in the hostel. Almost everyone lives in a room for 1-2 people with a capacity of up to 4. This is due to the quality of the hostel, many simply choose to rent an apartment. By the way, about the hostel. The repair is far from new. The kitchen is often dirty, which causes cockroaches (but it's not boring to cook pasta :)). The attitude towards students corresponds to the previous description. You need to pay extra for all the electronics. For some, this quality is justified by the price - 40-80 rubles per month. The university is a 5-minute walk away.
4) The manual. The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics is a separate topic. A. B. Olferovich. Now I will briefly try to describe his psychological characteristics. Communicating with this person will bring you nothing but annoyance. He treats every student like cattle. Find fault with the handwriting and every irregularity in the free-form statement - please. Scolding a student for "inappropriate" appearance (that is, wearing a T-shirt, shorts and sneakers in the summer, rather than a business suit) is a great idea. Many are genuinely perplexed as to how he got to this position.
The verdict is this: if you like permanent stress, wasting your time on subjects that have nothing to do with the specialty you are studying, as well as a clear hierarchy where your freedoms and rights are regularly oppressed with threats, then BSTU is the university of your dreams. In other cases, I recommend thinking about it and looking for alternative ways to achieve your goals. I hope this review was useful to you. Thanks for attention.
A good university, teachers are responsive in most cases, as everywhere there are nuances, but in general an excellent university with experienced teachers
I was brainwashed so much that I'm still proud of my university! I flew by with the highest grades in the subjects of teachers whom, to put it mildly, the whole stream did not like!
95+ percent of the people you see in the smoking room will not be able to clearly and reasonably explain the real reason for their presence in this institution. I will explain by my own example, visually.
I studied at one of the most famous specialties of KHTIT, it is famous for our graduating department, where they could expel with a ready diploma and throw up their hands ala "it's my fault". I wanted to leave twice in my first year, my parents threatened me with the army, poverty, alcoholism, plague diseases and other hyperbole so that the small offspring would continue to move the bureaucratic machine with all the same students. In the third year, my thoughts returned and just began to drill into my skull when the program began to go beyond my strength because of its senility and the attitude of the department at special courses. In the 6th semester (3rd year, spring) after the science teacher once again brought me to a nervous breakdown with her screaming (which is normal for her, I don't point a finger) I have finally decided that this is the end. I did not go to couples for a month, went to the dean in parallel, wrote a statement, even though I was a state employee, did not pay a penny, received a certificate of education and retired into the fog. I threw my parents into an emergency for a month, they became silk. In autumn, he passed a medical examination and was declared unfit in peacetime under 2 articles, in winter he received a military ID.
Has my life gotten worse? Definitely not.
Do I regret leaving? Oh no... Oh no... It would only get worse. My group then had tough problems in special classes, but they, like all students, are only afraid of their parents. And they tolerate it... And why? There is still the same diploma that I mentioned above. Well, it's a big disappointment after all the torment.
Of the really relevant +-professions with HSE, either teachers are narrow-profile or doctors. Why do other people apply? Especially here... Here the psyche will be shattered no worse than in honey. Only doctors are at least more useful to the world than these underengineers.
The most vivid memory in 3 years? Korovkina's electrical engineering. This woman is definitely forever in my dreams, for her 2/5 instead of 1/5, add my sticker pack with her in the cart 🤡
This is the best university in Minsk!!! I've been studying here for 4 years and I don't regret a bit. An excellent education program has made me a sought-after programmer!
TERRIBLE UNIVERSITY!!!!! A waste of time, nervous system and not a drop of knowledge! the teaching staff is TERRIBLE! No modern knowledge, just ambitions from scratch. Biased assessment of students' knowledge (elders always get only positive marks, and everyone else as necessary) and God forbid you get sick........all intermediate certifications will be with grades 4-5 and no higher. Guys, there are decent universities that have a modern approach to teaching and appreciate the efforts of students. AVOID HIM!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone, I am a student of fit bstu, I get enough sleep in a coffin, well, pon. I put 5 stars , for the fact that it's cool here in the buffet hematogen imba , group 2 imba , yes , that's not it.
I won't say it's the most lame university in the world, but they'll pour all sorts of liquids into your ears here.
"Dear guys, if you write articles, actively participate in the life of the university, study well and work all summer for a penny from the university, then we will give you a dorm!". Guess which of these is true? Nothing. They only give benefits to beneficiaries, and then not to everyone.
Yesterday, British scientists found out that BSTU is synonymous with the word "lies".
55 years of my life have flown by at this university. He was the organizer and the first head of three departments. For those who want to enrich themselves with knowledge and life experience, there is everything here. I think I got more than I gave away. They know how to be friends here, they know how to appreciate, they ask strictly, but fairly. There is a healthy microclimate here, they know how to work in a team. By the efforts of the entire team, state-of-the-art equipment was assembled, mastered and launched into science and education. They develop and honor new educational technologies.
Thank you, BSTU, from a young man who was invited to work here at the age of 28, and from an 84-year-old man who does not want a well-deserved rest
A good place to teach yourself and your loved ones. It is very pleasant to pamper yourself with the learning process at this institution. Like any university, this one is susceptible to the attack of the caronavirus! Therefore, please close for quarantine!!!!
Great university! She received an IT education there. Our faculty has an interesting extracurricular life, most of the teachers are highly qualified, as well as a fairly competent curriculum. I advise you)
It is one of the best universities in the country.
The teachers are just sweethearts.
The highlight of this place is unique activities and experiences.
Which are innovative in Belarus and maybe all over the world.
In general, I advise you!
Olferovich 1000000/10 is the best dean in the universe, the light of the eyes of the IEF, the God of economists, managers and marketers, the guiding star of students and female students, in short, I recommend
The best university in the world, I love it very much. Excellent teachers, a pleasant and fair Dean of the IEF. I can't say anything bad, I love that's all, my 2nd house.
my favorite building. of the minuses, there are huge queues in the wardrobe, where in the end places may run out. I go to the 3rd building to take my jacket 👍🏼
The most incompetent years spent, as well as the money spent. But I do know what the diameter of the viscometer nozzle is💪
There is an opportunity to study by exchange, but of course no one will tell you about it and will not help you with anything in this life
There is an opportunity to receive an additional diploma in a foreign language with the qualification of a translator
I studied at this university 30 years ago. I got a specialty that feeds me all my life. There are no problems with dormitories, there are a lot of them there. Good labs. High level of teaching. Now graduates from the same department come to work for me, good specialists
the tin is simple, it is impossible to get away from tobacco smoke, I have not yet seen such a huge smoking room that the rector is looking at, a public place is called Klondike fines
A place where dinosaurs teach. Where are the young teachers? A lot of unnecessary information. Tip: Don't get fooled by low scores when applying. Do not act
Teachers are probably like everywhere else, there are excellent ones, and there are frank ones... The same applies to teaching aids. Well, students are not openly bullied, but there are big problems both in the program and in the submission. The requirements must be reasonable (applies to all universities). If there is a demand, then the material must be presented properly, and in addition the opportunity to repeat it online (21st century) - the text of lectures, presentations and materials for lectures. But in general, the university is decent (I don't care about prestige, the main thing is the benefit)- out of this, 2/5 in general + 1 for the fact that the teachers really have knowledge, the submission suffers. Yes, it's worth going (if you're ready to plow, of course).
It's not a bad university, it's a little hard in the first year, and then it's fine. They teach well, not like at the Polytechnic. I recommend admission
It's a good place to waste your time
They don 't give you a dorm , no matter how well you study and participate in Olympiads and conferences
10/10 on wasting time
0.5/10 in relation to students
Tough teachers, terrible toilets (you need to take an example from BSPU), the state of the university is generally not modern, to put it mildly, it's cold in the classrooms in winter, people are sitting in jackets. 3 stars simply due to the fact that there are some modern audiences (from sponsors) at the Faculty of IT
The rector's office is sawing finances for its needs. Teachers are forced, forced to give at least 4 points, even if the student is a complete zero. There is a plan for issuing diplomas, they follow it
